I had a friend of mine she posted on on her Facebook page “Show me pictures of nature.” She has a sense of humor, so I post three women on the beach in bikinis. I take it down and message my friend that I was sorry for posting the picture. She them messages back that she thought the picture was FUNNY and she apologized for her daughter’s actions. Her daughter REALLY pissed me off. I kept my mouth shut out of respect for my friend.

Basically, they are telling you that, sure, they're sorry, but you deserved it, for making yourself a target. They would never have the balls to do that. If called on it, they would probably deny even apologizing to you.

But making a joke about said difficulty isn't progressive. What you have to understand is that progressives base everything off of the emotions aroused in them. If people take tension out of what they think are issues by making jokes, it undermines the reverence they have for these inane ideas.
