My opinion on why the excavation of Gobeckli Tepe has come to a halt,is to prevent the public from having knowledge that maybe everything that we have been taught is inaccurate. It certainly disrupts all the major religions in the world that currently teaches that civilization is only about 6000 years old. How can religious people explain how an educated civilization seemed to have been thriving over 11 thousand years ago?
You don't seem to understand religion and mythology, or even some movies. Religion teaches through code and wisdom. Spreading lessons and secrets through stories. The real problem is "science", providing inaccurate "facts".
Literally all of science and modern advancements prove all religions are man made. Not everything is a conspiracy. These two are so full of bs and your theory makes no sense whatsoever
It's more likely that they're already standing on the precipice of losing authority with the public, and if the date pushes beyond that there won't be any recourse.

Not only have they stopped looking into the sight but they have also been planting trees on the sight. Trees whose roots, If allowed to grow, could destroy artifacts buried beneath the surface. What I didn't know is that all the heads on Easter Island are full bodies that are buried up to the neck. A theory is that Easter Island was part of the continent of Mu, thousands of years ago. >14:25 I don't think Islam has a problem with Noah, and I certainly wouldn't call Noah a "Christian religious belief." If anything, that's a Jewish belief, if one were inclined to narrow it down.
Hey you know it was Jesus who spoke to Noah right? And what is the Jewish belief? What the Jews now follow the Talmud and Judaism? Noah believed in the trinity. And how did the Islam get the info about Noah you think?
while the name Noah might be Hebrew the flood story is far older and more widely distributed than just a limited religious text would suggest . the epic of Gilgamesh is at least 1200 yrs older than any Abrahamic religion indeed before Noah the name of the "flood survivor" was Zea Sudra or Utnapishtim and was widely published throughout Mesopotamia, Anatolia and the Levant. see epic of Gilgamesh circa 2750 BCE
The Islamic country part doesn’t work because Noah’s arc is a Christian, Jewish and Islamic story. So if anything they would want to show it to the world because it shows their religion has credibility too.

They know that another cataclysmic event is about to happen. They have safe places ready for themselves. They DO want to excavate it, but they don't want it destroyed, so they are going to keep it buried till after so they don't have to lose it to the cataclysm.

Muslim's believe in Noah's Ark and the great flood that happened during the completion of said ark. Why in God's wouldn't they be ecstatic to learn that their belief is real LMAO
The bit about Turkey (an Islamic State) withholding excavation because it would prove a Christian Bible story right is grossly incorrect. Nuh (pbuh) or Noah is a prophet in the Quran and his story is elaborated and believed by Muslims. In that theory Turkey would want to expedite excavation to prove a story of our prophet right
Gobekli Tepe and the other similar ancient sites do not prove "an ancient lost civilisation" (yet). But certainly they proved that the history was iterpreted wrongly. This is because of the weakness of the scientists. And that weaknes is relying on material evidence too much. Archeologists and all other scientists want solid materialistic evidences. And time is against this need. Only some kind of materials in certain conditions last long. Because of this, we can find lots of things which belonged to the cultures who worked with stone, had a dry climate like Egypt. So we can find so much things from ancient Egypt or Rome because of the materials they used were long lasting. But we can't find lots of things of the ancient people who used biologic materials like wood, animal skin etc. I think, before Gobekli Tepe there were people who had a hunter-gatherer or pastorilist life style with a great knowledge and abilities. Modern science underestimates the people with hunter-gatherer life style. I think some of those ancient hunter gatherers had achieved great successes. And after a while some of them decided to use long lasting materials to build things. So by the time they created sites like Gobekli Tepe. When you accept the fact that hunter gatherers, pastoralists, nomads can achieve big things you realize that Gobekli Tepe etc. are not so incomprehensible things.
Muslims consider Noah/Nuh as a prophet and a messenger of God. Why would they be against archeological evidence for his existence and collaboration of the Flood?
Ben from "UnchartedX" has some great footage of tourist places. I will never get to the pyramids... but his high quality film footage is just as good as being there... Ben would be a fun guest. Great segment :) The search for answers is delayed for profits... LOL.. the world is crazy.
I Emailed Jimmy Corsetti many times to give him a very possible explanation about Gobekli Tepe and other sites, but he doesn't seem to care, he is just milking this stuff for views and revenue like almost all of them, they don't care about the truth tbh.
That’s exactly what he is doing, he is using the ancient aliens method. He HAS to have come across the professional research about richat structure, but he came up with the bs “its atlantis” and it made him money. Why would he stop?
Just fyi. Because im a biological anthropologist with a minor in archaeology who has been and worked on historic sites: It's exceedingly common now a days to leave areas of every excavation untouched. Our future technology will be far less invasive....just like our medicine. We are preserving it because we're smart enough to know we will butcher it right now. It's not very complex. Idiocracy always reigns supreme in the JRE comment sections.
They could easily get donations. Tourism would boom if they found new structures or were able to discern more facts from their findings. Also, why 150 years? What do they know that we don’t? Is that when the curse will expire?
This is what happens when you put two people that know absolutely nothing about archeology, rant for 15 minutes about a subject they understand nothing about.
The reason they don't excavate entire sites is because they are preserving the integrity of the site in anticipation of possible unknown future technologies. Like how cops preserved evidence for decades before DNA testing existed. When DNA testing became a thing, they were then able to go back and retest some of that preserved evidence with the new technology. We don't know what we don't know and we don't know what technologies we may have one day.
Then why would they plant olive trees directly over known areas of the site. lidar scans were taken, they know where the other structures are and the officials planted trees which would damage the site, they also poured concrete roads and pathways directly over the sight. That seems like a poor excuse, and looks to be a cover up of some kind. Also I believe there is a law regarding olive trees and not being allowed to dig them up, but I have to double check that.
Technology always improves. If the excavation was held off until a certain technology was developed rather than an arbitrary period of time I would agree.
not sure if you are replying to me but it doesn't matter. Yes I understand the concept of not digging to preserve the site knowing that we will have better tech in the future, but.. if preservation is the goal then why plant destructive olive trees right on top on known buried sites? Tree roots absolutely destroy buildings and things. Future preservation doesn't make sense when they planted 100s of olive trees and built roads which the weight of cars and trucks would probably damage the site as well.
@@togrowagarden Plenty of reasons to plant trees other than to stop a future excavation. Make it a much more pleasant site for tourist parties for one. And having cement and paved roads and walk ways means there will be LESS damage to the site by thousands of fee paying visitors.
Heres something nobody has considered. The site was buried on purpose. Could there be some ancient cult behind the scenes that wants it to stay buried for some reason?
Right, Islam is an Abrahamic faith, they absolutely share those Old Testament stories with Christians and Jews. I'm kind of shocked that Jimmy doesn't know this. I pointed this out on one of his videos where he said this a few months ago.
You had me until 14:35 about the current government in Türkiye / Turkey. While it is true that that the government has its roots in political Islam, when it comes to Noah / the flood, there is little daylight between Islam and Christianity. In fact, it's through such Biblical studies that Islamic movements have been trying to make common cause with the Christian Right in the West.... :)))) When it comes to present-day Türkiye, always follow the money and political networks. ;)
14:51 Jimmy is ignorant of Islam. Muslims believe in the Torah. Adam is literally Prophet in Islam. Turkey isn’t preventing confirmation that it’s Noah’s Altar is pure stupidity.
I was going to say the same thing...all 3 worship the god of Abraham and except the earliest teachings...only difference is muslims believe that Muhammad was a prophet that came after Jesus, xhristians don't accept that and the Jewish faith doesn't accept Jesus or Muhammad as prophets...that and the whole which son king David left his kingdom to. Basically a 2000 year old sibling rivalry
14:30 up until the time of Abraham, the Bible and the Quran coincide for the most part. Noah is not contested among the Muslims, wording is different, etc, but up until Abraham's first two children, the bloodline and the events are fairly similar. I disagree that Turkey would have a problem if they had something that confirmed Noah.
on the contrary the mountain the ark set land is in turkey eg mount ararat. it would give even more attention to the site thus more eyes and tourists. also there was no islam 12k years ago. abrahamic religions are all jewish made. made up.
What the fuck? Noah is not incompatible with the Quran. I think Jimmy was making a political point, due to the extreme flex in current religious climate, but my god what a badly worded point.

As long as you are willing to ignore all credible sources and indulge in a conspiracy mindset.
He is talking nonesense about christian beliefs and Turkey's fear of it! Islam and the Quran has the same Noah story!

If the excavation was held off until a certain technology was developed rather than an arbitrary period of time I would agree.
lol no
not sure if you are replying to me but it doesn't matter.
