And mainly not just go back in to the past but interact because just observing won’t allow u to get them completely, you need to add talking to them, understanding their beliefs, so much more. What I’m trying to say, for example, I completely don’t know you, all I see is your name, which could be made up/don’t know how you look/your age/where u live/male or not, but I would probably be able to hypothesize more about your life much more than what happened 1000 years ago as I live in the present as you. Monogamy is for children. If you want a strong society, you need fathers who are fully invested in raising their own children. If you want a broken ghetto, get people sleeping around and not taking care of their children.
@Wucci Mane In nearly every case children are better off raised by both biological parents, so monogamy is for the sake of children and a more stable society in the future for everyone. Families are the foundation and backbone of society, broken families create a broken society.
Jealous is one of the most misused words in American English today. You are jealous of things that are yours, you don't want others to have them. You envy things that others have, you want them. People usually say they are "jealous" when they should say envious. "Oh my god you got the new iPhone, I'm so jealous!" Nope, that's envy, not jealousy...
@@nGUNNARp Well those used to be the actual definitions of the terms, I think that now it depends on where you look up the definitions. Some sources will consider them to be synonyms. But, if you think about it either one can be motivating or depressing. Envy of someone else's success can motivate you to go out and achieve success of your own, but it can also make you depressed that you don't have the same opportunities that the other person has. Conversely being jealous can cause you to drive someone away that you are trying to hang on to, which could cause depression as a result, but it could also cause you to be more able to protect someone or something from a real threat that turns up or to improve yourself because you almost lost what you had...
@julio1c1saga I just thought he got real defensive and disrespectful for no good reason. julio1c1saga Meh 😒 ... you are spouting a lot of “bro science” , a common feature found in many regular JR Podcast listeners . If you want facts , try this on for size : Testosterone deficiency is exceedingly less common than marketing campaigns and "The Joe Rogan Podcast" culture would have us believe. Low testosterone-known as hypogonadism or hypotestosteronemia-is real for a very slim percentage of men. For the rest of us , Testosterone levels fall by only 1 to 2 percent a year after age 40, regardless of lifestyle . The guest is more on point here with what the studies ACTUALLY show . Rogan is merely spreading his “bro science” silliness , and simultaneously justifying his steroid use .
@@garyvlahos635 While Joe got defensive here and is wrong, you used this one thing to discredit everything about his and his audience. You really are frustrated lol.
Joe needs to lay off being a know it all. He has a good podcast but when he ventures beyond being a host and becomes a scientist, it does not look good on him.
So now at 20 you've grown and experienced so much. No, wait, now you're going to tell us you're 56 and have learned that monogamy is clearly the way. Name does not check.
Joe consistently seems to be “triggered” by certain words such as testosterone, DMT, Depression/Anti depressants, working out. Time and time again guests that offer an alternative opinion on these get shut down. Leading to an ego trip for Joe. Yet all he talks about is how bad “tribalism” can be and being over protective of ideas. Which is exactly what he does as soon as anything important to him is under scrutiny.
Joe loves to bring experts to his podcast and then argue with them... like you are a former martial artist doing stand up comedy... this is what this guy does for a living! Express your doubts but stop arguing with the man
sayvar44 Evrard Nve says Joe loves to bring experts in and argue with them. You’re a comedian, you should stick to comedy. I replied by simply calling out the hypocrisy. I’m using his logic against him. I’m not saying that anyone should shut up. It’s the exact opposite. I’m saying that if you believe you have to be an expert to have a valid opinion, then that makes your opinion void since you’re not an expert. Why should your opinion on how to run a podcast be valid IF you’re not a podcaster yourself? That seems to be his logic. His logic is: If you’re not an expert, you should shut up. I disagree. If someone has a point, that point should stand on its own merit, not by virtue of who it’s coming from or what pedigree the person propounding the point holds.
Guys with high T are not consistently angrier. I don't know what amorousness has to do with this. Aggression? Depends on what you mean. They aren't more likely to beat kids if that's what you mean. Guys with higher T are often more structured and discplined.

The theory is the best thing to come out of evolutionary psychology yet, solves some of the issues darwin had. Horses mess it up though, just like how peacocks gave darwin a head ache. You could argue that C.R. & Co researcher have contextual issues and are projecting a humanitarian bias into their work. But the core of what they did makes more sense than "baboons" or "swans" or dreaded S.T.I. evolved chastity or "jesus christ is my lord and saviour". Which is what all the counter theories claim. Sex research is woefully under funded, and it is woefully underfunded for a reason, our intire society is founded on monogamy, as is islamic and some subsaharan societies founded on polygamy. You simply just can't get young men to do all those dirty and dangerous jobs without the reward of socially acceptable sexual repoduction.
Christopher Nope. He got “mad” because he’s polygamous himself, and has embraced Ryan because Ryan’s book provides joe with an excuse to be the swinging scumbag he is. It’s that simple. Rogan has no problem throwing his “friends” under the bus at any given time, for any given reason on this podcast. He’s aggravated because HIS lifestyle is being challenged, and he loved that Ryan’s book gave him an excuse to be a scumbag. “It’s natural, man.”

Chris Ryan didn't have Good credentials, when he wrote it, and scientists who have done tons of research, were a bit insulted. That doesn't help it going in, as well as stating that polyamory, would be better for humans.
It's why Ryan doesn't ever debate anyone on his book's merits. It's a pretty far fetched thesis, especially within evolutionary biologists.

Joe "are you suggesting my Testosterone is low??" Rogan
Jealous is one of the most misused words in American English today. You are jealous of things that are yours, you don't want others to have them. You envy things that others have, you want them. People usually say they are "jealous" when they should say envious. "Oh my god you got the new iPhone, I'm so jealous!" Nope, that's envy, not jealousy...
ZombieWilfred Excellent point!!
Envy is motivating, jealousy is depressing. Idk if your explanation is the actual definitions but I really like your differentiation between the terms
Don’t expect joe to know what he’s talking about

Meh 😒 ... you are spouting a lot of “bro science” , a common feature found in many regular JR Podcast listeners .

Young children aren't necessarily blank slates/defaults though. We pass things down to them, either through our behavior or perhaps even somewhat genetically.
