There is a lot of room for improvement on that system,
spec it out to 8GB of RAM
swap the cpu for a t9900 if the fsb supports it or any other closest as possible to it´s clock speed
replace the hdd and optic drive for a couple 2.5" SSDs
install debloated ltsc editions of windows 10&11 in dual boot VHDX files
lastly to squeeze every bit of performance fine tune both cpu and gpu (dedicated or not) with throttle stop
You will be amazed at what this old timers can still do in 2024......
Bro I had this exact laptop back in the day along with a 2011 MBP
I’ve ran 11 on similar hardware
An SSD and 8GB+ ram makes a huge difference
Windows has so much stuff that's pointless for most laptops and desktops that seem to exist only to hog resources and unless one is running a modern million core CPU with RAM to spare machines can take a serious hit... One of their spy tools (The Telemetry if allowed to run spikes up CPU usage) The Windows search index is another thing that's more of a hinderance than useful, that pesky Text Input Application that can't really be removed, The processes that Windows multiplies that even when suspended won't hog the CPU will reserve memory... Then the "fast" Browsers like Edge and Chrome are memory glutons and the idea of each browser extension having its own separate process isn't great either because with a single tab open you'll have a handful of processes running.
chrome, the ram killer (also btw what camera\phone you use?, it is so smooth!)
I use iPhone SE second generation. It gets the job done
