There is so much to do and see here in San Cristobal de Las Casas, especially if you’re looking for “real” Mexico. Chiapas has the highest % of Indigenous in Mexico so it’s a true authentic experience being in San Cristobal de Las Casas. We also happened to be there during Dia de la Virgen de Guadalupe so we go to be apart of this beautiful tradition as well.

I was a kid that couldn’t go school in Mexico but eventually did then moved to nyc and became an Engineer. I have and amazing career and ready to retire in Mexico and Europe.

@@TheCountryCollectors I'm not sure. It would have to be in a US time zone +/- an hour or so. I don't know if a tourist visa would allow remote work. If not, then which places have reasonable visa fees for a month's stay.

I’ll see what I can do! I’m sure your shoes could use a cleaning after all that walking! So try about the kids. It’s been going on for so long and the people don’t have the abilities break that cycle on their own. The breakfast was delicious 🤤. It had been a year since I got to have that smoked salmon and I was so excited! My family normally has it for breakfast on Sundays but I have not been there in years! I'm from Chiapas, México, specifically from Tuxtla, and actually I loved your video talking about one of the best cities in my country: San Cristobal de las Casas. I'm loved your sense of humor and I'll be waiting for your return, you need to go to "Cascadas de Agua Azul (Waterfalls)", "El Chiflón", "Comitán de Domínguez", National Park Montebello and the capital Tuxtla Gutiérrez to know the Zoo (only has animals from the region like Jaguars or tucanes), Marimbas Park (parque de la marimba), restaurante tradicional las pichanchas, and San Cristobal again but in día de muertos (2, 3 of November).

It was really special! We didn’t sleep through the night for 10 days because of the fireworks 💥 haha but it was great!!

WOW! Absolutely spectacular. Really enjoyed the contrast of Chiapas to the other states you have been. You can see a lot more tradition here. The textiles and clothing was so beautiful and all hand made. Those drinks at the end looked unreal! Thanks for bringing us along. I loved it.

When I see and hear your genuine happy laughs, that's when I know that Mexico is magic. It is a country full of traditions and culture. Also when I see the incredible bees participating in the candy feast without being disturbed. It's like from another world. everything is peace and happiness

Thanks for sharing the reality of those children. It is hard to see but I know it is something that is just a fact of life in so many places. We really need to be so grateful for our opportunities, and lend a helping hand whenever we can.
Yes, it is hard to see. We wish everyone had the opportunity to education. But right now that just isn’t possible for so many kids. And it’s not just education in the tradition sense it’s sex-Ed as well. Children who have to drop out of school are more likely to become young parents continuing the cycle of poverty. But yes it’s important to not judge and put ourselves in their shoes.
