Rear motor mount, stage 1 tune and the short shifter really make a huge difference. I'm tempted to go with coilovers as they allow you to adjust the ride with just a few tools.
i’ve seen a lot of ppl on fiesta st forum and reddit say that coil overs ruin the natural pivoting motion of the car around tight corners so i’ve been hesitant to upgrade. also i have the recaros and am 5’9 and fairly skinny and they are amazing for me. what’s ur opinions on a lsd upgrade? that’s my next project for the car
My last one still oversteered with coilovers. It might have actually even oversteered/ been even more balanced because of the camber in the front. More bite in the front on turn in should rotate the car more right? LSD is a great idea if you’re planning on tracking it or making anywhere over about 330whp
LSD, in my opinion, may be my favorite upgrade by far. Definitely have more handle on your vehicle, feel way safer, especially on higher speeds, and perform way tighter and feel like it'll handle whatever you can throw at it. Will give you better launching and a two wheel burnout two.;)
@@kjdabee yes mostly track use because the brakes are cooked after a few laps no matter what pads/fluid/rotors ive used. i also drive it hard on the street bc i live in rural area and the one wheel burnout around tight corners is annoying
If you're trying to track/auto cross your car: All three engine mounts, big intercooler + a tune via cobb accesport (dizzy tuning is a good tuner I use), big radiator. It's ready to track. Extra: short throw shifter cause 5th is way off in the land of Oz with the stock throw.
Being from california. My top 3 mods are Upgraded Radiator. Intercooler. Accessport (custom tunes). 4th would be the whoosh hybrid turbo. Stock dp doesn’t bottleneck unless you’re pushing over 300whp. Intake, you could get away with the stock one or upgrade with a carb legal one. Whoosh hybrid turbo if you want to run a stealth setup…Youll have plenty of power with that setup without risking going to the state ref. (Stock intake, stock downpipe, stock turbo housing with stock oil and coolant lines- so what’s there to see really?)
I like this approach. It's also in line with many other comments I've found along the lines of "mods that don't really make that big a difference" eg which mods gives you most returns, which dont do much. The radiator is interesting, don't think I've seen that mentioned before? (Or maybe it's just getting late 🤔😅)
Mate there are so many small mods that’ll change the whole feel of this car. Get the rest of the intake piping, help that turbo breath and more intake sound. Do you lower torque mount and upper engine mount before they fail cus at the power your running they will. Also if you haven’t already change the rear axel bushes to polyurethane ones as they fail easily and make the rear end feel sloppy. Also is this still on the stock car back exhaust?? 😅
Hey bro!!! Quick question about the whoosh hybrid/dizzy tuning... Base tube is at 13.5 psi... Does that sound right to you? And how many revisions on 91 to be at full power? I also payed for the E30 add on.. all help is appreciated
Yo! Yea that’s totally normal. Took me 3 revisions to get to full power on 91. E30 is a whole different animal in terms of power. It even 91 feels good.
@@SegwayBossk I’m a bit shorter but same weight. Drove to Tulsa which is 6 hours 1 way and trust me they get uncomfortable quick at our weight 😭😭😭 but I’m down from 350 so I’m happy with 200 😂😂😂
I feel like imma get roasted for this question. But I’m kind of just getting into modifying cars. When he said “ hybrid turbo with a tune” how exactly do you tune a car after you’ve done upgrades? Tech yourself? Bring it somebody? Somebody online? I’ve looked, and I see some turbos coke with a dedicated tune for the car, but others don’t.
You have several options but for this car you need the Cobb Access Port to tune the car. You can make your own tune if you know what you're doing, you can bring your car to an experienced shop, and you can get custom tunes done online and sent to you. You upload the tune onto the Cobb tuner and plug it into your cars OBDII port and you can apply the tune from the Cobb tuner
I have bc racing coilovers and was recommended to go for a higher spring rate on them as i use the car for autox (its also my daily), just a warning....these do NOT make your car more comfortable its an extremely harsh ride compared to stock
My first 3 mods were done around 20k miles and were (1) Cobb intercooler (2) Cobb tuner (3) Radium dual catch cans Now my list is all 3 mounts upgraded to AWR 88a mounts, Whoosh catless downpipe, 2J Racing intake, Mishimoto charge pipes, symposer delete with Turbosmart BOV, Whoosh coil packs, Tsudo exhaust, Whoosh rear wiper delete, upgraded plugs, and the Whoosh subframe centering sleeves. There might be more but my next step is radiator and bigger turbo. I'm worried though because I'm already at 60k miles and don't want to stress the engine with the extra load this late in its life. I'm eventually going to build an engine for it when I can get the time but that won't be for a while
@@genomedia44 I don't know videos to recommend but I can give you a brief rundown. The intercooler cools the intake air significantly better than the stock one. The tuner adjusts how the car runs and can tune it to do more than stock. The oil catch cans help keep oil vapors out of the intake pipes
