Would love to see you do the same, go bananas! So much more you can do to the exterior, suspension, etc. Go widebody, get a sick wrap, build the motor, GO INSANE. Less than 30k of these were even sold, be a unicorn out there. I'll eventually hit 400+ whp with a built motor before I even consider stopping. Anyways, mostly just wanted to say thanks for making FiST content and you're super entertaining. 10k and beyond subs is inevitable.
I loved my x47r, it was a blast. However.. I wish I went a different route deciding on turbos. Turbo lasted maybe 3 months before it blew. I didn’t really push all that much either. If I could go back I would go Gen 2 GTX2860 instead. I don’t mean to sound like a Debby downer because I still had a blast with mine but just thought I’d share some info regarding x47r.
@@iAdReNaLiNeee hmm maybe you’re one in a thousand who was unlucky… maybe something with the install ofthe turbo went wrong who knows :/ i have alot of friends who also have the x47r for over 2yrs and they’re happy with it. I also bought new bolts, gaskets and a new oil pipe so everything should be fine.

Us Brits have been doing this for years. Typically we don't have big displacement cars here. Fuel is expensive, our roads are small so the cars are small and the whole bloody country is only 1000 miles long. So we have gotten to grips with small displacement power. Things like the Mk3 Fiesta RS turbo back in the early 90's. It's bigger brother the Escort RS turbo. Both 1600cc. Extracting 300+bhp even back then. Things like the Sierra RS Cosworth regularly saw 4, 5 and 600bhp. Which was wild back in the early to mid 90's. Then we also tuned other Euro stuff like the Renault 5 GT Turbo. A 1.4 litre tin can. I remember one of those in a magazine called Max Power, that had nearly 400bhp. 🙂
Subscribed after this video bro. I got my Fiesta ST about a year ago. I've just done a downpipe, intake, MBRP intercooler and exhaust and E85 tune and it cruises. Thinking about upgrading my turbo next!
If you add a crossover pipe and induction hose it'll bring the torque on a bit more tamed but will give more top end. At least that's what happened with mine. Will help reduce the wheel spin but faster up top. I've gotta email my tuner because I'm ready for injectors and HPFP but not sure about the COBB tuning situation. Have you heard about it? In regards to tuning. I'm so bummed I didnt get the e85 tune done sooner!
i think that we can still tune for e30 and e40, but im not totally sure. Ill have to reach out as well. And okay cool so the crossover does have a benefit, good to know

I went for Cobb stage 2 on mine so I could stay CARB legal… running the stage one map I can get 33-37 mpg with all the bolt ons. Ford made this car super inefficient. I’m glad I’ve modded mine.
You need to take it to the Drag Strip to see what it can do. I’ve had mine up to 145 mph coming-back from Tahoe. I’ve noticed that you still have the original cooling system, mine had a recall, that little plastic coolant line coming from the cooling tank gets hot and cracks, Ford replaced it all it now comes with a much thicker tubing that goes into a hard aluminum line. My ST stays at 189 degrees, and when I beat on it it will get to 192, then come right back down. I’m sure you’d like the look of mine, I get compliments all the time. The Fiesta Flash. 🤙🏼🍺🍺
I know this video is old but, as a fellow owner, I feel obligated to mention you need to adjust your BOV to the "lightest" setting because you have a lot of turbo flutter that is causing excessive wear on the turbine shaft.
Had amazing results on my 18 US FiST from a resonator delete, better turbo pipes, better tires(toyo extensa), better suspension(bilstein on stock springs all 4), better brake pads and a 100 octane tune.. just 1.2 gallon of turbo blue to a tank of 93 works great. Living near a race track is handy too - the local gas pump has tb

You could do some episodes where you travel around and meet with other people about their builds. Obviously I don't know what finances look like for you but if you were interested in driving up to Washington state there is a drag strip just a couple miles from my house and we could compare 1/4 mile times for your car vs essentially my stock fiesta st. I have a resonator delete and k&n intake filter with toyo Extensa hp 2 all seasons for tires. Officially Gassed does something similar and he is well over one million subscribers at this point

ive been looking into more in depth mods with my fiesta recently so this video really helps. i just had some questions about the exhaust setup. u had mentioned a downpipe but i was wondering what u had done to the exhaust as well. im looking to get a downpipe but i dont know if it would "work" with my current system, which is just a muffler and resonator delete. other than that awesome FiST!
The only issue is fitting, just make sure the DP you buy can fit your 2.5" stock exhaust. Many of the 3" models come with a 3/2.5" adapter. Or you can also upgrade your catback to a 3" pipe. I personally went a 3" catback and Whoosh hybrid, and my 3" DP is in the mail. E30 tune starts this week too so it will be abouts what Griff is makin around 300 whp.
Please get some dragy times on this car 60-120mph or 100-200kmh thats where the biggest gains are with this turbo compared to stock. Thanks for this breakdown. I missed or you did I don't know but what exhaust are you running?

I have a 02 ZX3 5 speed with mobs an with out a turbo! I push 300 whp on 93 octane, all I have is nothing but bolt on mods and have no problem if I put a turbo on here off have over 400 without a problem so can you do it without a turbo absolutely you don't need a turbo you just need to put the mods on
pretty much! i dont think you guys have hybrid turbo options though. any other turbo besides stock would work though. and you be pushing more than 350 pretty easily
I have a 250hp at the fly on one of these. Just need a hybrid turbo and bigger intercooler, it’s just a bit of money. Do I need a new blow off if I aim to go higher?

a crossover pipe is the piping that comes straight from the turbo inlet. thats why there are short ram intakes vs cold air intakes. a cold air intake replaces the whole assembly all the way to the turbo, where as a short ram just utilizes half of the stock piping thats already in place. unlucky
Be careful, knuckleheads may look at ya funny when you say its "on ethanol" instead of "ethanol blend". "Its not full ethanol". Let em know that you can do injectors and HPFP in lieu or aux fuel if they wanted

8:30, nah the Fiesta ST could EASILY out-handle a Mustang 5.0 around a track. Just avoid drag-racing.

My biggest concern with my Fist is the trans, how does it hold up with 300hp going through it and what clutch setup do you have?
so far really really solid. these trans and clutches can hold that reliably
