Hi everyone! I'm so excited to share two of my favorite things - a rainy summer day and decorating my kitchen using what I have! There's also a blog post with photos and more descriptions of things I used linked in the description box. Make sure you subscribe cna click the bell for notifications!! Do you also love to decorate by using things you already have? Let me know in the comments below!
Yes on a fixed income I surely do need to decorate with what I have. In fact a sweet decorator named Kirry Barthlomew always said..." it's not what you don't have, it's what you do with what you do have!"
I am SO thrilled to have found your channel and your blog. I stayed up into the wee hours of the morn binge watching your beautiful blog! It means so much to find someone who decorates like me...lovely antiques..cherished items from family all in a Victorian mood. Yours is a real farmhouse not these trendy white painted shiplapped homes that all look alike. Your home is unique and displays the beauty of family and friends. Can't wait for your next post. PS..It is raining here in Michigan too. So sweet and fresh.
I’m so glad you found my blog and channel! Yes we have been so desperate for rain that I enjoy every moment, and yesterday we had a lovely misting rain all day☺️☺️
Just wonderful, Anita. So glad I found your channel. Dave and i send you and Luiz our very best always! I just love your home, your music, your style and all your endearing insight into a beautiful, simple life.
Thank you Tina!! I collected those a few at a time because one of my great grandmothers had them, then my mother bought some, but she gave hers to my niece, and I’ve always loved them☺️☺️
Beautiful video and beautiful music with it !!! I love these mountains...Love this video and how peaceful you make it. I use my china also to decorate and my everyday vintage cooking ware as well.... Thanks. !!!!
Thank you so much! It is beautiful here for sure and I want to appreciate everything around me because I am so thankful to be here☺️☺️ I’m glad to hear you also use your china to decorate☺️☺️
I just LOVE how you did your kitchen!!! Your style reminds me alot of The Elliott Homestead. I LOVE the timeless Vintage Treasures!! That Apron Skirt and Curtain are so GORGEOUS!!! 😍😍😍😍. PLEASE do more videos like this!! I get so inspired by you! ❤️
Such a lovely and beautiful and relaxing video. The music is very nice. Your style makes me happy! Thank you for sharing your home. God bless. Have you ever visited Jeri Landers' channel named Hopalong Hollow? Another artist.
Just saw you share your channel on Instagram and had to hop over here to check it out!! Not sure how I missed it but I will be catching up on all your videos. Your summer kitchen was so lovely! That vintage fabric is perfection snd I love that you had so many pink pieces to use with it. This was so lovely, inspirational, and soothing to watch. Thank you for sharing. 💕💕💕
Thank you so much Gwyn!! I’m so happy to hear that! It really is one of my favorite things to do and I find myself just walking into a room and thinking OK what can I move around or being inspired by one dish that I had forgotten about☺️☺️☺️
Love the beginnings of your videos with the beautiful rain on the leaves. I'll be checking around my house today for summer things. I know my curio has 2 small pink and white little snowflake plates from my Grandparents' farm that I can put up and my Mom's cedar chest has tea towels with crocheted lace trim in different colors, supposedly made by the nuns that were in the convent with my Aunt. They pre-date me and I'm 71, so have to find a place for them. I got a new perspective on your home from this video, can I ask how many square feet your home is? Thanks again for the inspiration. This is day 3 of watching videos and reading your blog.😀
@@WhisperingPinesHomestead Like my Mom, I always was afraid to mess things up, which is why those tea towels were always in the cedar chest😂. You've certainly made wonderful use of every square foot. How big was the original house that was dismantled in '60?
Just found your channel and so happy I did!! I LOVE!!! the color on your walls...would you mind sharing what it is? It seems the perfect moody neutral!
Thank you so much!! Are you referring to the dark gray behind the buffet? It is Kilz Color Collection “Dark Umber” and it’s a great dark, warm neutral☺️☺️

Oh Geri those tea towels sound gorgeous as do your other treasures☺️☺️ Our house is small about 1458 ft.
