Its future for the Gaming scene, playing against people from other continents with low ping, just amazing

Thanks for the update, I'm in the kawartha's and experiencing the same fluctuations with my starlink. Good to know that it's not just this area or my placement of the dish.

The spot beams from the satellite have fringey edges so depending on time of year and weather being on the edge of the beam will give different results but you do very well off the beam.

Pre-registered north of Gogama... can't wait to ditch DSL Bell... although, it's not as bad as mentioned here... I get consistent 21 down - 1 up. But sometimes (about once a week), the connection drops for an hour or 2. Please Starlink, open-up! :)

Thanks cause I needed to see if I'm not alone on the varying whack of speeds from one test to the next! It was sort of like this before I suppose but it just felt somewhat different this past week in that the speed would be not that high more than not and the pings common in the 60 region? Also I noticed that now I'm detected as in Montreal now? Since December my detected home location has been Winnipeg? Man you can't win for lose...LOL. When you do a whatsmyip.com where is your IP coming from and do you know where you were getting one before?

Hi, does the receiver stay fixed or does it's tilt & change throughout the day?

I was hesitating on getting this for our farm, but the last 2 weeks my internet with Bell here has gone to total shit. Its DSL, so it usually doesn't get effected by weather, but WOW it has gone from bad to WORSE. Ping has gone from 40s to 400s+, download from 6mb/s down to barely 3mb/s, upload down to 200kb/s from 800kb/s, I've called tech support and they are detecting packet loss, but wont send a tech out because of the age of our line, and just keep telling us to get their LTE service for now because 'fibre is expected in our area next year' (and they want to charge us $8000 for the drop line, and its not even them that has the contract for our area, its Xplornet, which I'd rather shoot myself in the foot then use), which doesn't really give any better speeds and certainly not any better ping. I told them I'm signing up for Starlink and as soon as it gets here I'm dropping them and they didn't even care, no retention offer, nothing. Seriously at this point even if all I got was 100 ping, 15mb/s down and 2mb/s up, I'd be FLOATING ON AIR.

My Bell download speed the other day was................ 0.6 mbps. and they still charge full pop unless you call and complain and mention Starlink. I was offered internet from Virgin which is owned by Bell 50% less. Bring that up too.
