This women is incredibly smart and insightful. And her voice is so pleasant and welcoming. I could listen to her speak all day.

I was with her until she put a happy sheen on the neural AI project and started speaking in glowing terms about DARPA's wonderful PR program, especially on the topic of vaccines. There has to be a check on research to make sure that unethical people and those without common sense, don't seize the reins in government agencies. On the subject of declassification of GPS, in 1993 or 1994 an undergraduate student in Melbourne Australia, whose thesis involved a large amount of mapping, worked out how to remove the randomness of GPS. His technique involved simultaneously collecting location data for a known (fixed) point and for the point he wanted to map, both of which would be scrambled by the GPS of the time. However, because the fixed point was known it was possible to determine the unknown point with mm precision. (This was covered by an ABC TV show called Towards 2000 at the time.)
So, an undergraduate student showed how to remove the randomisation from GPS as it then was and it is my understanding that this was the reason it was removed/declassified.
