We ask a lot of questions in this first part of our Narrowboat adventure, and are sure to have more coming. We look forward to reading your answers and thoughts!!!
I watched this video a couple days ago in the midst of a burst of research having just decided that a narrowboat trip is what we wanted to do in June as a family trip to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Coming back to the video again tonight realizing that you are showing the EXACT BOAT I just reserved this morning! This is so wonderful!
@@sharonshaw2352 OMG!!! You gave Wendy and I chills with this comment!!!! That’s so cool! We loved College Cruisers and if you get Michael for your orientation, not only will you be set for the trip, but tell him Wendy and Laurence said hello. He might remember us as the rather excitable couple that made him come out to us the second day of our rental because we forgot how to start the gas stove 👀 You’ll have to let us know how it goes when you get back. We hope our series of videos gives you some ideas of what to do, but just have fun and make it your own. Make sure to stock up on food in Kidlington. There are no real convenient stores for a while after it. We’re so excited for you!!!
You did fine navigating the cut for the first time by the end of you holiday you will be finding it much more relaxing and easy I can see you will be more settled in you future plans, So have fun be safe Ed 40 S of Vegas
Thank you for watching! You're absolutely right, by the end of the trip we were able to enjoy everything around us instead of focusing on not hitting anything! You'll see!!
Wendy needed to stand on a box or something, so she could see better when at the helm, would have made a huge difference for her, it is NOT a contact sport that is absoloute tosh, there is no excuse for hitting another persons boat, a narrow bridge side a slight bump ok, ramming lock gates definately NOT! The hire companies staff are not entitled to make a statement like 'its a contact sport'
You're on point with the box suggestion, Wendy had the same thought while we were cruising. We've spoken to our builder and they have a very cool suggestion!! We totally agree that narrowboats should NOT be considered a contact sport and to be clear, College Cruisers never encouraged that thinking at anytime. If anything they were concerned there was that mentality on the canals at all! Thank you for joining us on this adventure, would love to hear your thoughts on the rest of our trip, and don't miss the real time cruising videos!
