@@matthewhayes8647 i thought about that too, but no, paul accident happened in autumn 1977, but sid doesn't have the mark in photos from american tour, it appears only later, say on their photos with nancy (where he's with a pirate eye patch, august 78), right here in this video - rock n roll swindle interview (august too) or his solo max's concerts even later. this episode with lydon took place i guess around summer 78 too, as lydon writes in his book it was after pistols split, and also that sid and nancy flew to new york soon after that
