I always loved both Sid and Nancy. And Johnny.

Sid was a blatant animal hater. He tortured many animals in front of friends. The guy was a spineless scum. No talent, no looks, no values. Sex pistols was an ok band with 1-2 good songs but thats because of Rotten's voice. Sid was easily replacable. The guy couldnt even play notes on the bass. Somebody else recorded the songs but Malcolm kept him in the band because of the scandals money rolled in. Sid was just an uneducated emotionless spoiled junkie sellout.

Didn’t Sid’s mother give him the fatal dose of heroin that killed him, I remember it all like it happened yesterday, in my opinion the band getting rid of Glen Matlock, and putting Sid in the band was a total fuck up right from the beginning, what was the point of getting rid of your bass player for someone who can’t play a single instrument let alone the bass guitar, it was just crazy and very stupid, I reckon if Glen had stayed in the band then the Sex Pistols would’ve definitely done better as a band but, that’s just my opinion. I’ve also always believed that Sid didn’t Stab Nancy to death and I also know one hundred percent who I think it was that did it and although I’ve got absolutely nothing of any value whatsoever but if I was to name who I think it was they would still and take my little ole nothing so I’m not gonna name who I think it was either. I used to drink quite often in the pub, The Spice of Life in the West End but not in the 70s, I didn’t start drinking in the pub until 1980 so I wasn’t far from it and at the time in 1980 I was a skinhead and not a punk but, the guy at the end of this video who said about The Spice of Life pub was full of deadbeats he was right, many homeless people on their giro day got in the pub just to drink the benefit money but, Peggy the Irish landlady of the pub was waiting to go on trial for the murder of her very abusive husband bless her, I remember some woman tricked me out of my jacket, so Peggy who always used to say that I was her little skinhead haha 😛 and she gave her husband’s jacket after killing him, I was walking around wearing the leather jacket that belonged to Peggy’s ex husband thinking that this was Peggy’s husband jacket and being a very spiritual person like I am, it started freaking me out so I ended up just throwing it away to be honest with you all out there, but Peggy was a really nice woman very nice in fact nothing happened between us, and I will say unfortunately because she was a very very attractive woman indeed but I was just a 18 year old skinhead at the time and she ran a great pub in the West End of London that’s for sure.

Malcolm used the Pistols like they were a bunch of ragdolls, just to make a load of money for himself. Johnny never got any songwriting royalties until he took Malcolm to court. John got a million I believe. And I think Malcolm is partly responsible for Sid's death. He played these (very young & naive) guys like puppets. During the US tour Johnny was helping Sid to kick smack, but in the end it was Malcolm who got Sid hooked again. He wanted Sid to 'perform well' and would be cashing in on the succes they got in the US. And it was Mick Jagger who payed for Sid's lawyers when Nancy was murdered, not Malcolm. Malcolm bailed him out, and I think that was because he knew that Sid wouldn't wanna go on with that dark cloud hanging over his head, he missed Nancy and he would overdose and die, end of problem. Many shotters die from an overdose when they kicked their habit in jail, and Malcolm wasn't dumb cause why the hell would they do the cover (I did it) 'My Way' with Sid? That's an end of a life song.. Malcolm was an adult, he knew what was going to be next. Sid would have never be able to be in a NY jail for a 100 years and wanted to be with Nancy.. It was Malcolm McLaren who should have been in a courtroom for going as far as he did.

I believe Sid was a TRUE rock star, and a natural, and that its so unfortunate that he didn't live longer. However at 5;15 the roadie, or who ever, credits Sid for the spike hairstyle of punk. That's not correct. It was Richard Hell, from the East coast scene in America, Which started the first version of the punk style spike hairdo. As for the origins of punk music, that credit would belong to the Ramones, That's clearly documented (1974). The New York Dolls also were a huge inspiration to the punk scene sound, attitude and look. But there's no question that by 1977 the Sex Pistols lit that whole scene on fire, and Sid was the star.

After all the stress and emotional trauma Sid experienced, to get thrown back into Rikers Island with his reputation would have finished most people, let alone a 21 year old kid. Poor Sid, a victim of manipulation and drug addiction brought his untimely end way too soon. After hearing many versions of what may or may not have transpired at the Chelsea Hotel, I think they were being robbed (they had a bit of cash reportedly) Nancy woke up, volatile as ever and was stabbed trying to stop the rip off whist Sid, with enough Dilaudid in his system to kill a normal person, was passed out. The cops never really investigated as as far as they were concerned they had their man.
