- In this weeks video I’m going to tackle an out of control hall closet. We use this closet mainly for pet supplies. It’s unorganized and very dirty.
It was way more time consuming than I thought it would be!
And then a plant disaster happened 🤦♀️

Take a fitted sheet and put on the box springs from the bottom side and make a cover for the springs.

Maybe you could put a couple of vinyl placemats on that shelf and a container of wipes and nothing else on that shelf, make it a feeding station and the girls could easily wipe down shelf as part of the responsibility of feeding Tom. Could easily go into hThe little trash bag right there.

Jodi! 😜 I felt like I was watching my sister when you were showing the hoya. You kept saying you weren't supposed to move her, and when you moved it last time that's how you lost the padunkle (however you spell it,) so I was thinking, then stop moving it, just take a picture and show us. That's what I would tell my sister. Then, when it fell, I gasped and felt like my heart stopped for a second. I can't imagine how you felt. Stop moving her, just take pictures and insert them in your video. You don't need another heart moment and neither do we. 😜🤭🤗 I do hope she's ok and keeps thriving. Hope you get warmer weathe so you can go outside. Take care! 💖

I had the same problem with my twin bed, I stapled a sheet to the bottom and it worked wonderful!!!!
We were in the path of totality, so we were able view the eclipse from our backyard. The kids had an early day at school so I had all of my nieces and nephews over for a little eclipse party. Definitely memorable ❤.
Hi, Jodi! My heart dropped for you when you dropped the Hoya! I hope it’s doing better. Today I have been doing laundry and going through things to declutter. Coming along great! I don’t get out much because I have had two hip replacements so I have to take lots of breaks so I don’t overdo. I can’t do yard work but have a great couple of neighbors who help me out. I decluttered the sentimental butter churn that has my little stuff in it, and found my glasses from 2017. Wound up going across the street and visiting with some neighbors that hadn't been able to find glasses and we just passed them around. :)

I dont have a basement and have a small house so I have my stockpile in my garage. During the winter, living in Indiana, I bring in the laundry soap toothpaste and all other liquid stuff. I git that all back outside the past two days.Wish I could send pictures to show you.

I had lots of dogs my whole life 🤔 (I'm 32), 10 at least, during my 32 years. I'm currently with only one. I've lost two back in 2022. I miss them all so much. Animals are angels on earth. ❤

EDIT: The boxes thing is a hoarder thing. It requires a therapist to learn to deal with it. Hoarding is a difference in the brain. The section of the brain that encourages throwing things away is smaller than the average person. It can be managed. It explains why he doesn't want you to put out too much on trash day, too.
Busy week. Prepping for pesach ( passover). Cleaning plus baking / cooking foods ahead. Today I made cranberry almond cookies ( with unsweetened coconut shreds) and rosemary, thyme, dill almond flour crackers. Thursday I'll be using coconut flour for more choices. This afternoon I will be checking out my freezer & fridge to see what needs eating up before pesach starts. No wheat rye oats barley or yeast .. . .
Continuing to clean deeply. Garden stuff has started. 80*f today for high.
Hall closet painted... I used kilz spray paint because it's quick & helps prevent future issues.
Then I finally got my supplies back into my closet... bathroom and cleaning supplies....and OUT of my pathway! Yaaaay!!!
Vacuumed hall after, too. Feels wonderful to have a clear pathway.
Now I can get into the craft/ garden/storage room!
So many things to do still!!!
Hubby removed the carpet in our old dining room- he then put tile down - I love it - still much more to do my house is 34 years old and needs a face lift- but we own her - so now we will refresh her

Omg when you dropped your Hoya my heart skipped a beat..I have a black cat with four white feet his name is Sox,I hated cats as a kid but my husband has always had cats as a kid and when I met him I had six daughters my youngest two were 4 & 6 he went out and came home with a kitten in his jacket,his friends had two kittens so we had one I kept the other one and that was my love affair for cats,we live in the country now so we have Sox that was born feral he hates being indoors,which is fine as the smell of cat food turns my stomach.And now I have no kids at home I’m left to feed him so I feed him outside he has a outdoor house with fitted carpet but he hates it.he would rather be under my neighbours roses bush or in my garden on his back with his feet in the air..Well I became a grandmother for the 15th time on the 8th of April I have a new granddaughter Romy-Bleu she is 3 days old and extremely gorgeous.So I’m busy with lots of cuddles. We didn’t get to see the Eclipse here in the UK,I think I have seen 3 in my life time too.Well Jodi I hope your Hoya is ok.I love to watch your channel,see you soon.love Donna-Jean.

I wonder if you put a plastic/rubber placemat in the closet to catch the cat food spray if that would be easy to pull out weekly and wipe? Love the plants and fur babies!!

Planted 3 blueberry bushes and repotted my indoor plants. And will be planting my herbs this week. And still working on my decluttering journey.

Oh Jodi…I gasped out loud when you dropped your Hoya! I’m so sorry 😞 I love how you love your plants and your fur babies! I was in the center of totality and we had heavy cloud cover all day here in western NY but it did get dark as night so it was a cool experience anyway. Hoping spring is here to stay. I mowed my lawn on Sunday. It was so long.
Oh my goodness when you dropped the plant that right there is why I stopped keeping plants! They all became my babies and when something happened I would literally cry lol! Oh boy! Hope it survived.🩷

I had a Hoya for years, finally losing it two years ago to mealy bugs...easy things. I battled them for 2 years. The Hoya was such a resilient plant, was huge. The blossoms, gorgeous. I'd love to get another. It will be fun to watch yours grow.

Wow, you got your closet done with Clarke & Tom helping you. Ha! I know how it is, we're watching our Son's puppy a Shitzu, now about 4mos & so cute, but it's like taking care of a child. Everything is almost no,no,no Asia Sam, we call him Sam. I told our Son we were going to call him Sam. Sam knows it pretty good! Asia is girls name! But I felt so bad when you drop your plant, oh my gosh. I hope it's alright. Did you wet it a little. That sometimes helps when that happens! I've done that too! So don't feel to bad! Your outdoor plants are looking good. Your snapdragons are doing pretty good. Maybe water those that are dry, they might come up late. But you're doing great! I can't wait till you get outside! I know you probably don't want to replant the Hoya bit I would. I would put it into a rectangler pot and build a little trellis to put into it. You can use popsicle sticks or chop sticks. Use hot glue and then wrap or tie the cross connections with twine and stick into the pot so that your Hoya will have something to lean against. It will be super cute. 🌿💚
I know a lot of Hoyas love to have a trellis. This kind does well just trailing but I might need to give her a trellis because of her leaning.
Hi Jodi, I love your pets. We have 2 cats, both adopted. There's Luca, who is a 14 year old male short hair white cat. He's just a good boy. Then there is 7 year old female Ari with some Scottish Straight who is adorable and naughty.

Hi Jodi, sorry about dropping your plant but I’m sure it will be fine. Spring flowers in Denver coming up nice but we had horrendous wind. My kids were supposed to come clean my back yard but it was too cold and windy. They are planning on next Sunday. I have about two months until my knee surgery and it is difficult getting around even with my walker then you have to do a lot of exercises to prepare and that hurts even more.
It will be exciting when all your bulbs bloom. I planted a lot of snapdragons last year. I once had 5 cats, I kept finding them. No cats anymore just my Doberman and the minpin who is only here part time since he is my son’s dog. I always complain about my husband but one good thing is I could always bring home any pet and he would agree. His parents didn’t like animals.🙄 Thank you for this video.😘

We had three black cats in a row until my daughter chose a calico (or should I say the calico chose my daughter😂) at the Humane Society The calico cat, named Cleo is now 19 years old and still going strong. Always love your videos!
I also have a love for black cats! I have two and they are so sweet! I’m so happy you were able to adopt so many beautiful cats and give them such good lives.😻
Hi Jodi! Nice weather last weekend I cleaned up my garage. Not perfectly whole lot better tho. My dog Nestle was so bored in the process I got him an old towel layed it on the garage floor for him & he stretched out flat on it. 😂😁😀

Hi Jodi! I have 3 cats and I have the same food splash as you do. 😂. Yes, I was here for all the empty box clean out! I was heartbroken when you dropped your beloved plant. It was cloudy where we lived so no seeing the eclipse. Our son lives in Indiana and he had a great view! When I was a kid we had an eclipse so I have seen it before. Have a great week!

Great cat story. Years ago my daughter had 2 ferrets, they tore an opening into her box springs and they would steal small items and hide them in it. I buy Sheba which comes in a container with 2 divided portions. Each portion is just a couple of tablespoons, so no waste. Maybe the girls could open the cat food over the bathroom sink, then they can rinse the sink. Unfortunately it was too overcast to see the eclipse here in my part of Tx.

Because of you, I bought a lemon and lime prayer plant “sprite” the children named him and it’s the only plant I have managed to grow to double the size and he is healthy 😂 I have had a “ black thumb “ all my life so thank you x x 🇬🇧

Trying to get motivation to unpack after a move. a craft room, but I need a piece furniture for storage. I would like to get rid of more stuff in the garage, wanna wait for better weather.
We missed the eclipse! I was so upset. We live in upstate ny, about one hour or 50 miles from Rochester ny. We had overcast and total clouds🙁 it did get dark for 3 minutes, our solar lights came on and the baby frogs in our pond started “ chirping “ like they do every night and then it got light again, lights went off and chirping stopped! But never saw the eclipse. I did watch all day on tv so I kinda saw it in all states.
I am decluttering my upstairs today, it’s more like our storage rooms because our bedroom is on the first floor. Have tons of donations. I do this a few times a year, where does it all come from? 😂 love seeing Clark and Thomas🥰

Hi Jodi, nice to see your video again. I am still busy with the kids clothes haha. Since its getting warmer I went trough all the clothes for my son summer and coming winter. Let him choose what he liked and then choose from that 7 of each. and donate the rest. Probably will get rid of more but at least he is set for now and its sorted. Also organized the attic abit have to do more before our guests will arrive but the kids are sick and the little one is teething so we do what we can

We’ve 3 cats (tabby, black and black & white) and 2 dogs. 1 of the dogs grew up with the oldest cat and we think she thinks she’s a cat 🐱🤣 Oh they certainly all have different personalities and not the best of buddies either 😵💫 Ireland was covered in cloud so we never saw the eclipse. When you're planting bulbs you have to be really careful about the depth. If you plant them too deep they have a hard time coming up.

I got some eclipse glasses from our library! We live just outside area of totality in Eastern Oklahoma and it got pretty dark and the street lights came on !

When I pick up my husband’s socks, cup from beside his chair and nightstand, I consider myself lucky to have him. I call the little things he leaves around the house love notes! So empty boxes are your love notes from your husband!

I'm well stocked on wet cat food too, but gosh, we just don't see many deals on dry food. My cats have decided they like friskies more than iams, though, so at least they're frugal.
Amy I know. Toms dry food is $50 a bag now and I never see deals on it
@@jodidunnmymessylife1847 wow!!! Our cats were on vet formula ($80/month) food for years. It was specifically for urinary tract health, which none of them ever had issues with. I finally talked my parents into reading up on it and iams had the same ingredients, so we switched. Funny thing is, Pete had thrown up almost everyday of his life until we changed to iams. Pete stopped eating during the big snow storm and I had friskies from a coupon deal and he loved it. 😂. Went from fine dining to fast food. 😂
Can you flip the box spring and glue or sew fabric over the box spring? Yesterday I cleaned out a dresser in the office and moved the stuff to the basement. I also moved Readers Digest magazines that were in a box to the basement as well as TV guides. I will move the dresser to the basement soon. I plan on removing as much stuff as possible from the spare bedroom to the office so the spare room can be just a spare bedroom. My husband is a little resistent.

im in calif. so we only had 35 % coverage, so it wasnt worth it. sky just got a little shady. and today i am taking a few buses to taking a alarm clock to a lady who doesnt drive. her son needs it. but i dont either so i guess she doesnt take buses. but i had it to give. i'm on a local give or ask free site. and she asked. I had nothing to do today so why not. have a blessed day.

Doesn’t he!!! Clarke is 32lbs and Tom is about 27 lbs 😂😂😂 Clarke is quite a bit taller but he’s a small dog

As long as its dry dirt it vacuums right up. If it’s wet I have to get my bissell green machine out
