I know that buying in bulk saves money and my husband is a big fan of "stocking up" but it sends my anxiety into overdrive. Unless it's something that we truly love and I know we will use, I only purchase a minimal amount. I'd rather spend a little extra than have to throw it away. Everything looks so good! Your hard work really paid off. Keeping a list of what you already have will help a lot. Organizing is so satisfying!
Love this video!! It’s so nice to see a RUclipsr normalize “normal”. Great job Meg!! I would love a cleaning routine video if you are on a cleaning schedule
I wish we were 😂 It can he a handful of chocolate chips working full time and parenting two kids. The dishwasher is constantly running and there is usually scattered laundry, but we do our best! A five minute pickup at the end of every day definitely helps. 💛
Here for the real world content hell yeah. I've totally had cupboards like that. Only reason I don't right now is because I have 12 dozen things out that should be put away 😅
Saving crystallized honey….either warm it gently in the container in the microwave in short spurts and stir until it looks normal…OR even better, take the crystallized honey and put in your mixer and whip it for about 20minutes, it’s amazing!!!!!
My house was built in the 50's. This is absolutely how my pantry looks too, and please don't feel alone. I love your labels- I need to get a label maker! Also, re: honey, because it's crystallized you could make it into creamed honey- using stand mixer. No buy list! As someone who got dx with ADHD last week, that sounds SO helpful. Love this vlog!
Contact paper to cover shelves. Clear plastic labelled boxes to put stuff in, in your deep shelf cupboards. Then you can pull them out like draws. I did this.. total game changer.. shelves stay clean, you see what you have, so no out of date stuff and easy to take out.
I really enjoy watching your videos. As a fellow adhder mom, I started to implement that I would not buy something new to try until I was done with whatever I bought previously especially for the pantry goods. It also allows me to save money, cut the amount of stuff we have, AND feel like I get a weekly treat !
Absolutely loved seeing your kitchen transform! Tackling those drawers and pantry must've felt so freeing. It's crazy how much a tidy space can lift your spirits, right? I get the same buzz when I clear up a messy spot. Great work on this! 😊
I watched you for the first time today. Great job on organizing your kitchen. I have one tip for you. Store nuts like pecans and walnuts in your freezer. They go rancid if you don’t. Have a blessed day and enjoy the fruits of your labors.
Good job decluttering! It’s like an onion- you peel off one layer then you start to notice other stuff that you don’t really need that you can declutter and you eventually chip away. Having young kids and a highly simplified house has been life giving! I recommend the Minimal Mom - although I live a very different lifestyle from her, she has great tips of efficiency to help make time for what really matters!
As an organisation nut your messy pantry looks like so much fun to me. I would love to declutter and organise a space like that. It would be so satisfying. Kudos to you for all your hard work. You did a great job.
I took 5 months to do my 4 ft wide pantry. I did one shelf at a time. Washed and delabeled pickle/olive jars. Eventually ordered some snap lid containers.
You can get some really nice shelf liner that protects your shelves and your items too because they’re grippy! It makes them look really finished. I have them in all my kitchen and bathroom cabinets/drawers. 💕
Hi Megan!!! Love this one 🤍 my baking cabinet, the biggest game changer was medium/large sized baskets of sections of supplies. One for flours, one for sugars, one for miscellaneous and it’s actually stayed organized for a while. It’s super easy to pull the baskets out and then put everything back in and stay organized!! 🤍
I love these decluttering videos, they motivate me so much!! 💕 I try to remember that my daughter won’t remember how clean (or not😂) the house was but instead us playing together, laughing and making memories 💕 you’re a great mama and have created such a cozy, peaceful, and fun childhood for your kiddos!
I just wanted to say after listening to your priorities of life, GIRL YOU ARE WINNING. So what some parts of your house might be disorganized. I’m sure your children are some of the happiest. Trust me when they grow up and move out you will have time to have an organized house. Then you will realize how important it was to have that unorganized home. You will see your children thriving in life because you made them a priority when they were younger. So many people don’t and so worried about what others think coming into their home. To me a house that looks lived in is a HAPPY HOME. So keep doing you because you are doing it the way it should be done. Anyone coming into your home that judges you should NEVER enter your home. Also don’t forget the Dollar Store they have tons of bins for SO CHEAP.
I’m edging on 35 weeks pregnant with baby #2 & the nesting instincts are STRONG but me and my whole family had stomach flu this week, so thank you for letting me vicariously live through this video as I recover on the couch 😊
Re: your comment that keeping all the glass containers is not "declutterry" - it is. Decluttering is getting rid of CLUTTER. If you use something, it's not clutter.
One thing to remember about the baking mixes is that the active ingredients do break down. Like the baking soda or baking powder that's been added. I had an older box of Bisquick and I really wanted to make scones for some strawberries we brought home so I made them even though it was past the date, they didn't rise, I took a small bite they tasted really weird. So I realized yes it's sad that we didn't use them in the time frame that we bought them But they probably aren't going to work. I'm feeling really inspired by you right now cuz I know I have a brownie mix a lemon square mix the cake mix sitting in my pantry right now that I just need to throw away because they're old. Keep going I will too
My whole pantry is as big as the first cupboard u did. I am a organised person but I totally loathe organising my pantry. Everyone in the house just chucks it back in where ever which doesn't help.... I just hate organising food cupboards! Well done u! Feels great once it's all finished.
Bless your soul. No matter how much I tell myself DONT OVERBUY OR CLUTTER somehow it sneaks up. And I’m just a dog mom with a husband 😂. Definitely have to always give ourselves some grace
I havent finished your video yet... But drawer slides installed on the shelf and (cheap) the wooden crates from Michaels for drawers. Eventually id build shelves to pull out... But the drawer slides are an investment and the crates are a cheap solution to help you get more organized atm
our honey crystalizes too just place on a candle warmer back to normal. ill even change it to a canning jar after that.. i use a honey dip stick in canning lid. i dont screw it on or will get stuck
I buy plastic bins at dollar tree and fill them with like items. You can pull them out like drawers. I’m 78, so I set up a system where I do certain things on certain days. The first time is a deep clean and then is easier to maintain, for instance, Monday is laundry and bathrooms. Tuesday is living room and halls, etc.
You could make creamed honey! Honestly I think you just put it in your mixer until it looks kinda creamy white. I remember seeing a video and it looked super easy and you can USE the honey way more easily!
I decluttered our food room gave loads of food to neighbors alot started from covid scare buying they have 4 kids so I'm so glad it will be used feels good😊
I do this regularly for my parents. Thankfully, their pantry is tiny, so they can't overfill it, but they do tend to forget what they have. I check all the best-by dates and put everything that is soon to expire right at the front so that they can see it. I also make a list of things they have too much of, and stick it to their fridge next to the pad they use for their grocery lists 😂 My sister is a nurse and does the same thing with their medications.
I bought a few pull outs for my cupboards but they were very expensive and I have a lot of cupoboards. For the rest of them I bought cheap metal baking sheets at the Dollar store and covered them with Contact paper and put one on each shelf and they just slide out easily. No more loosing stuff in the back.
First time visitor here! You're so relatable to my undiagnosed ADHD brain! My house is 100 years old, and every cupboard (of which there aren't many) was built-in decades ago so there's no standard sizes (or right angles for that matter.) For random-sized cupboards that things tend to get shoved to the back and die, I've been getting plastic tubs or other containers and use them like drawers. The local plastics outlet had some containers without lids so they were 90% off, and I was not going to use the lids anyway. LOL
Seeing everything you have in your pantry astounds me, you are so very blessed. As someone living in Ontario Canada right now, owning that much food is an impossibility. I enjoyed watching this video 💛
You’re killing it! Gave me the motivation to declutter my pantry and junk drawers. Also I have the same straw problem as you, I feel like I need a different type straw for each drink 😂
Keep in mind, only baby formula has expiration dates that are regulated by the FDA. Companies put a date on items that are actually Best By Dates. Baking mixes would of course be beyond best date but canned goods are not expired. Give a call to your local food pantry, they are experts on "expiration dates". Love your channel! PS I'm in a house built in the 1890's. Uhg!
I spy Trader Joe’s corn cookie mix 3:38. I loved that mix, and think I was one of the only ones because a cashier thanked me for taking it off their hands when I purchased four at a time.
I laughed out loud at you saying ‘can we normalize older homes being imperfect’ and then saying your house was built in the 90s. My house was built in the 80s… the 1880s! Obviously it’s been renovated since then, but it made me laugh to realize that wow, yes, the 90s were 30 years ago, and that actually IS old. So my house is positively ANCIENT by comparison… crazy!!
Amazon has some drawer slide outs that don’t have to be drilled(they’re adhesive) & has lots of good reviews! Don’t think they’re overly expensive either!
ummmm, hi, great video, where did you get the spice rack and what is the name of it, would you mind linking it here? Please and thank you. have a wonderfully blessed day! 🙂
I just moved in with my bf and legit the day right before you posted this I cleaned out the pantry cabinet and ohhh boy 😅 there was stuff from 2017 in that cupboard! Bf just said it was his "science experiments" 😂
Love this. I'm in major nesting mode due with my second any day and recently organized our FOUR junk drawers for the first time in 7 years and found my husband's expired gum from Serbia in 2016 before he even moved to the states and met me 🤦🏻♀️😆
I'm going to have to watch this twice 😂 once now and once again when i clean our apartment pantry out. We are moving into our first house in like a month and the apartment pantry has been... Lets just say not given the attention it deserves for like a year and a half.
I bought a metal basket off of Wayfair for $20. It is 5x16x24 and it fits under my sink, from front to back. It has handles on it so I can pull it out like a drawer slide. Something not as wide could work for you without breaking the bank.
I have been looking for a spice shelf like the one you have! But every one I’ve found has 2 spice size shelves and then a bunch of bigger shelves for larger containers. Do you have a link for the one you used?
Hi, Good Job. My pantry is a HOT MESS! I live in a small town, so no Professional Organizers close to where I live, UGH! I have to ask, the box that says Kitchen Aid, if there's a mixer in the box, trying to figure out why you don't take it out of the box? Just Curious!! Your little Girl, is Adorable!! Have a Great Day!
You can find more detail by just googling but my dad, a bee keeper, gets his honey back into a liquid by warming the jar in hot water. The key is to warm it slowly to not kill the good properties in the honey. Enjoy!
I think i tried to let the closed lid honey jar in a warm to slightly hot water to help melt the honey better and this has helped the honey stay sort of soft again until i am done consuming the whole jar . Plastic bottle honey i dont bother i just throw them out 😑😑😑
A couple times a year I do a pantry/freezer challenge. Do it for two weeks. Meal plan with what I have on hand. The shop for only the things I don’t have but need for a recipe.
I hadn’t seen the last name Acuna since I was in 1st grade in the mid 90’s when it was my teachers last name. This is my first time watching your videos since the name caught my eye lol
Wait a second! MATT’S ramen habit? You’re always begging me to make the special ramen from TikTok!!! 😂 Set the record straight! 😘
😂
Love this 😂
🍯🍯🍯 set in a bowl of very warm water until it returns to liquid form. Great job on organizing Momma!
I know that buying in bulk saves money and my husband is a big fan of "stocking up" but it sends my anxiety into overdrive. Thank you for being real and for sharing despite everything not being 'perfect'. I'd MUCH rather see real. Enjoyed it so much.
Love this video!! It’s so nice to see a RUclipsr normalize “normal”. Great job Meg!! I would love a cleaning routine video if you are on a cleaning schedule

Normalizing normal!
Have you tried wallpaper or shelf liners from the dollar store.

20 minutes???!!!
Honey doesn't go bad.
I love your old school label maker! Great job decluttering and organizing! 💓🤗💓
I used peel and stick floor tiles for shelf liner. More durable than contact paper and super easy to clean
Incredible idea
My house was built in the 50's. This is absolutely how my pantry looks too, and please don't feel alone. I love your labels- I need to get a label maker!
Also, re: honey, because it's crystallized you could make it into creamed honey- using stand mixer.
No buy list! As someone who got dx with ADHD last week, that sounds SO helpful.
Love this vlog!
ADHD fam! Thank you for the creamed honey idea!
Your Kiki sweater is everything 🥰
Contact paper to cover shelves.

I took 5 months to do my 4 ft wide pantry. I did one shelf at a time. Washed and delabeled pickle/olive jars. Eventually ordered some snap lid containers.
For my glass containers i use sharpie to label them with contents, instructions and expiry dates. Comes off easy with a dish scrubber and water.
Just found your channel!!!
HOLY MOLY!
All those baskets under $15???? 😮 NICE!!!
Great 2nd hand store!!!
I loved your style, kind of like me, however I could maybe be your grandma, you are just flat out fun!
You can get some really nice shelf liner that protects your shelves and your items too because they’re grippy! It makes them look really finished. I have them in all my kitchen and bathroom cabinets/drawers. 💕

This was the motivation I needed! My mom just got into town and we plan on decluttering my whole house this weekend 😊
Good luck! 💛
Omg I love all the studio ghibli things!!
I’ve been working on decluttering over the past few months! It feels soooo good! Great job!
Can I just say that I just absolutely adore you and Matt!!! And of course Rowan and Juniper! ❤

really nice job you've done :D i am looking for inspiration for reorganizing my own kitchen and pantry and I really liked what you did. :D

Such motivation for declutterring. I too keep random stuff thinking I’ll use it and I never do.
I’m totally the same way!
My whole pantry is as big as the first cupboard u did. I am a organised person but I totally loathe organising my pantry. Everyone in the house just chucks it back in where ever which doesn't help.... I just hate organising food cupboards! Well done u! Feels great once it's all finished.

The asmr and you talking makes the perfect mix!!!❤😊
I love your sweatshirt! We are big Kiki's Delivery Service fans at our house!
I need your willpower and energy. Everything looks great!
Thank you for always posting such great and relatable content 😊❤️
Thank YOU so much for being here!
@@MeganAcuna ABSOLUTELY! Love all your videos!!!❤️❤️🥰
I want to get those My Neighbor Totoro Tupperware containers now. 😁 Loving your sweatshirt by the way! ❤️

I just found your channel! Girl that was some work!! Great inspiration!!
You did a fantastic job congratulations 🎊 ❤
I feel seen!! 😂 Absolutely loved this video!! Great job on all of it Megan!
Great work, love a good declutter! For the baking cupboard if you dont want to paint, can you just flip the shelves over for an easy refresh?
Wow everything turned out great!
Love the sweatshirt!!!
Amazon has some great shelf liners. I prefer them to contact paper as they are easy to change if necessary. Good luck 🙂
You did a fantastic job!

I enjoyed watching this video 💛
You’re killing it! Gave me the motivation to declutter my pantry and junk drawers. Also I have the same straw problem as you, I feel like I need a different type straw for each drink 😂
When you do get your containers, look into clear, acrylic bins. Yes they are pricier but WELL WORTH IT. I have done them in my home and zero regrets.
Keep in mind, only baby formula has expiration dates that are regulated by the FDA. Companies put a date on items that are actually Best By Dates. Do you have somewhere that i can find paint colors you use? Throughout the house, the greenhouse, etc? Even whites you use.

There is a lot of wasted space vertically, there are those 4 legged wire shelf riser thingies, that way you can double up and utilize that space👍
Amazon has some drawer slide outs that don’t have to be drilled(they’re adhesive) & has lots of good reviews! Don’t think they’re overly expensive either!

Does the AG one taste like grass? I’ve seen it a lot but I don’t wanna get it if it does
Came across your channel tonight. New subscriber now!
Welcome!! 💛
to save the honey you can just heat up some water and put the container in there for a couple of minutes!
at 7:00 don't curve your lids in the container. they won't seal well when they warp
Contact paper is cheaper! Easy clean! You'd have to custom make shelves, or shallow trays that pull out for convenience
Good job
You can find more detail by just googling but my dad, a bee keeper, gets his honey back into a liquid by warming the jar in hot water. The key is to warm it slowly to not kill the good properties in the honey. Enjoy!
A friend shared your channel. I'm enjoying all the organizational stuff. Can you please share with me the name of your label maker?
I think i tried to let the closed lid honey jar in a warm to slightly hot water to help melt the honey better and this has helped the honey stay sort of soft again until i am done consuming the whole jar . Plastic bottle honey i dont bother i just throw them out 😑😑😑
Who else was hollering that she needs to eat more of the candy so the lid will fit? 🤣🤣🤣
