The fact that sephiroth is going to be playable in this game is just amazing. Im also excited to see what zack's fate really is since we have seen him in the previous trailers
This is gonna sound annoying, but I kinda feel like it makes him feel less cool and mysterious. In og, where he one shots everything, you get kinda scared of him, but if you can die as him, I feel like fighting him will feel less rewarding

I played the Remake, it was really good & got platinum on the PS5. Now only 4 months left till Rebirth, it will get much more exciting to play the 2nd game w/the OG characters again & the newbies.
Synergy Attacks remind of the scene from Advent Children where the game fights Bahamut SIN Pretty stoked to see how far the game will take em and how far the third game will expand upon the system

Every main character is exactly like they felt without the voice text and high graphics in the original ff7 they did such an amazing job bringing them to life maybe it was Advent Children that makes me think this because I saw that when I was younger but they just nailed everything about the characters minus the few cosmetic things from the original Edit thanks I appreciate appreciation of me apprecitating stuff
I like how they gave little hints that Cloud is actually Zack in the flashback for the fans who know. Like Sephiroth saying "Such a puppy." Which was something Angeal called Zack all the time. He even called him that when talking to people close to him like his mother, so Sephiroth also knew he was "Zack the puppy."
What do you mean Cloud is actually Zack? Do you mean litterally? Because in the psp version with the Shinra you can see at the end just before Zack dies, he gave his sword to Cloud. And I have no idea when does that game takes place , I did'nt follow a lot Final Fantasy , but I actually knows well that game on Psp
@@gs.558 That game took place before FF 7 and I didn't mean literally. I meant that the person in Cloud's place in the flashback wasn't actually Cloud but really Zack. Cloud was one of the Infantrymen who accompanied them to Nibelheim. He was with them most of the way so he heard their conversations except when they went into the reactor, he stayed outside to protect Tifa. That's why his Memory of the incident is ALMOST perfect but there's spotty parts that someone who was there would notice like Tifa who clearly remembers Zack. He only went into the reactor after Sephiroth went mad. As for why he remembers speaking to Sephiroth in the Shinra Mansion basement and in the reactor the first time, that's because Sephiroth himself implanted those memories. He manipulated Cloud's memories through the Jenova Cells that Cloud received from Hojo after the event which you should recall if you played Crisis Core on the PSP.
Cloud war auch bei dieser Rückblende tatsächlich dabei, wenn auch nur als der Shinra Infanterist der in Hintergrund eingeblendet wird. Cloud war nie ein Soldat wie Sephiroth und Zack. I wonder if Sephiroths suddon drop in power is a choice made for gameplay reasons, or if it has something to do with the whispers and Sephiroth messing with history. Considering in previous games he was outrageously strong compared to Zack and Cloud. Heck in the first game he took no damage whatsoever during the flashback and could kill the enemy in one or two hits, while cloud would go down in one or two hits. While in Crisis Core Zack was unable to defeat him, only managing to kill him due to a lucky backstab when he was dreaming in his own little world. I could get it that this was done for gameplay reasons to make it less of a cakewalk. But I honestly want there to be a narrative reason to this suddenly weak Sephiroth. Like trying to alter history, holding back during these moments to bond with Cloud, trying to make friends with him to draw him to his side for whatever goals he has set. (as Sephiroth has been trying hard in the remake to get Cloud to join up with him for some reason) Though technically that should be Zack? Lets just see where this goes and hope its not some weird ass-pull or dead end narrative. (for those saying this was in his early life. No, he was always strong and barely had to train. Heck he's already shown to be superhuman in the trailer of the other FF7 game where he still has short hair as a young teen looking Sephiroth)
Yeah in Ever Crisis at least in cutscene he was monstrously strong even as a young teen. The best part is that it was his first deployment too. He never fought before that, a little spoiler but I figure most people won't play Ever Crisis so: Before the Wutai War most of Sephiroth's accomplishment's that made him a "Hero" were fabricated by Shinra to drive up recruitment. He was never deployed on the field to fight until his mission in Rhadore with Team Glenn. I'm sure Hojo tested his powers in the lab and stuff using the VR but he never had real experience until then. Also sadly his dream wasn't to be a Hero but to have a normal life. Also it was revealed Sephiroth was looking for his mother "Jenova" via a picture Hojo gave him... a picture of Lucrecia! That made me hate Hojo even more. He straight up gave the man a picture of his real mother and told him her name is Jenova. Hojo is a piece of work, I always knew this since the OG game but man the depths of his depravity keep getting worse.
@@AresSG Its a good fit considering Sephiroth never seemed to take pride in being called a war hero or being complimented on his amazing past accomplishments. They were just lies and he knows it. He also likely knows he could have realistically done those of course, but it likely felt very conflicting to just lie about it. Yeah Hojo really is something else. Likely in his perspective he was not lying as Lucretcia is the mother who bore Sephiroth, but the cells of Jenova are the mother that created Sephiroth.
Exploring the whole world in FF7 will be fun. I tried the new game + option in the first half but the ghost boss stopped me bc it was too hard and wasn't fun. I hope Cid's story remains the same, in his little town, the abandoned space-program and that rotund Shinra op showing up with his Mako-Gun. I really liked that part of the game. Golden Saucer should be be fun too

Little bit of video game history, Final Fantasy 7 was originally in development for the Nintendo 64. However, when Nintendo announced they were sticking with cartridges as the media format, Square went with Sony. Reason was, a cartridge didn't have the space to store all the FMVs. However, a CD with 700MB could. The Nintendo 64 was originally going to have a CD drive, but Sony and Nintendo had a falling out. The first DVD players hit the US in 1997 and they were very very expensive. Around $800 in 1997 dollars. That's about $1500 today. The PS2, which used DVDs launched at $299 in 2000. That's about $530 today. Many people who didn't play games bought a PS2 just to play DVD movies as the PS2 was cheaper than many DVD players.
When PS 1 came out, CDs were the new high tech. Before that, you had cartrages on consoles and diskets on PCs. Both of them had just few MB. CDs had aroun 650 MB. It was a huge step. But you coul only dream about DVDs, it took few more years for them to emerge
Omg with body language and tone of the voice it's so easy to tell... in OG FF7 it wasn't that obvious because we had a lot of gaps to fill in with our imagination. But here even if someone doesn't know the plot twist after playing Remake they would catch on that something is off about Cloud in this flashback.

@@Marzellus1991have you not played the original game? Cloud has Zak's memories, Cloud wasn't a soldier, he was just a normal army guy, he died and was reborn as a clone of sephiroth with his memories altered, everything ypu see in flashbacks is Zak and not Cloud
Greatest action RPG combat of all time. I know I obviously never played this, but FF7R1 was already my fav action RPG combat ever, only issue I had is that it's limited, but this is just expanding on it which is exactly what I want and obviously expected. Aerith having Ward Shift as her special triangle move seems way better than the tempest move she has for that in FF7R1, plus way more.

Ya theres a dedicated dodge now. And you can slot twice as many abilities as before (in some cases 3 times if the character has aerial attacks).There will also be additional character skill trees now, and materia improvements obviously. This is going to be a much more realized version of the first games combat and mechanics
@@AnywhereMiami Give it a rest. This argument is so old and tired at this point lmao. The first game was already nearly as long as the original game and Midgar was always underutilized at the time (mostly because the technology of the time) and this one boasts to be even bigger.
I hope we get a public demo too. If it's the same path as 16's release pattern, it could release sometime in late January or early February/couple weeks before launch.
Demo will be most probably available a month or so before the release. All recent Square games that I can think of had a free demo, some of the best demos actually. DQ11 , KH3, Nier Automata, FF7R, Stranger of Paradise, FFXV all got demos before release.
the fact Sephy isnt god level busted and has rather solid but not OP move set makes me think he’ll be playable later. either as NG+ bonus or as part of the story being altered. which would be cool.
He isn't God level because technically that's not cloud with him, it's another first class soldier. That first class soldier isn't too far behind in terms of power to sephiroth
@@jacksonstubbs2999 what i meant was Sephy isnt one shotting everything in sight and has a grounded moveset. it would have been really easy for the devs to make like “hit button, octaslash end everything insantly” but cause his moveset isnt insane like that i like it and have hope that he will be playable later. i am fully aware of the story and who he is with and their respective power levels (played the OG the day it released in the UK after all, let alone the rest of the FF7 series) and honestly that doesnt factor into my statement.
He is going to be playable throughout the game I believe Someone noted that in the very first rebirth trailer Cloud's pauldron was different from the one he wears during the flash back

I know Sephiroth used to be a good guy and all, but you can really tell that he was just playing his part as a human, but goddamn Hojo really needed to step up his game, one measly security officer is not enough.
This looks SO DOPE. This basically has hit ALL the check marks for fans of the original (plus new). It has confirmed: - Sephiroth will be playable & used in a clever mechanic (him being a teacher) so feeling legitimate why he's holding back to make it not too easy. Made him, as a nicer person (before he becomes obsessed), seem organic - Red XIII being used and looks fun & different to play as - Free roam with an open map which will appears to have tonnes of collectables which will allow for customisation (crafting/materials etc) which fun array of random enemies - Sick looking team attacks with other characters which helps add diversity to try out new combinations - Introduction of Yuffie at what looks like Junion port so is being replaced by that random girl who you give CPR to which is a smart way to bring her in earlier (& even get) - Graphics look great & is first game that makes me want to get next generation console - Music is insane I wonder how far it will go into the story? Maybe up to the Temple of the Ancients of something? If it has the Golden Saucer; that would be insane. This is a fair trade off about not having your previous characters (level 50) either, so you start again in a bigger environment. Maybe this one you'll be able to get to 99 (& use in the next sequel, if this isn't it).
It's not an open world map. More tunnels from a to b. Super lame. Red xiii riding a chocobo looks stupid. They added drag queen advent style bosses. I get you're excited but you're straight simping.
@@gianniszafeiridis6139 you've never played the OG game? Cloud never made it to Soldier, he was only a simple grunt. Zack is the one here with Sephiroth and Cloud was one of the 2 grunts assigned to escort them. Cloud also happened to look up to Zack a lot. After the events of Nibelheim, both Zack and Cloud get fatally injured and were experimented on by Hojo. These experiments resulted in Cloud's memory being all messed up and made him think that he was Zack.

After all the talk, the pools of blood in the Shinra headquarters, the giant cobra skewered outside the chocobo farm; the player finally sees Sephiroth in the flashback battles doing 3K + damage. You thought the man was invincible.
so wierd seeing sephiroth laughing maniacaly in a cutscene just like in the OG where he's starts talking about his parents,i hope we get more crazy sephiroth by the end of the game.
shit like that makes FF7 so goddamn funny. tifa narrowly escapes getting gassed to death and then just gets in a hilarious catty slap-fight with the woman who threw her in the chamber. it's so gloriously silly.
@@TortleTalk I feel like it'll be an early chapter though, because after the forgotten captial is the northern crater and that's not too long if I remember nor is that whole sequence in Junon for that matter. Some big stuff definetly happens in both but you get to them quick.
Glad to see they brought back the foraging and monster hunting mechanics from XV into this one, and gave us a cute digital assistant giving commentary and encouragement to boot. 😊
@@norberto6005 nah, Remake is notorious for this and it looks like they didn't fixed it in Rebirth. Most bosses in Remake had phases and ignores & cancels anything during the phase change, including limit breaks. If the 1st damage tick of your limit brings the boss over the cutoff for a phase change, the phase change cutscene plays and you've just wasted a limit break. I was hoping you at least retained your limit gauge if the limit was canceled by a phase change. This was also a problem in KH Dream Drop Distance in the 3DS (not sure if this was fixed in KH 2.8): you can be forcibly dived during a boss fight, so it's always recommended to reset your dive timer before a boss.
Simply AMAZING. I'm speechless. I love the original Final Fantasy 7, but this is on a whole nother level. It brings waves of nostalgia for me, but also the thrill of something new and adventurous. I'm genuinely excited that the game is seemingly taking on a different story path, I LIKE that it's different. I've played through FF7 several times, I know exactly how it plays out, if I wanted the story of the game to stay true to its predecessor, I would just play the old damn game. This is a brand new, modern work of art.
@@markpaloma3914, your party also does the victory pose in the Shinra simulators after completing the final round, including the fanfare. On the other hand, Barret and Yuffie randomly hums the fanfare after any battle.
In the original FF7, Cloud dreamed of this... but in fact he was the mob soldier behind them... That Cloud fighting aside Sephiroth was Zack , hence the difference in personality. Even until now, after so many games depicting stories of FF7, I still don't understand why everyone, especially Zack protected a weak-minded twerp like Cloud, hoping for him to grow strong. Normally they would fall into the pits of hell, not rise and become a hero. Even in Advent Children, years later after the ending of FF7, Cloud's personality still remains an extreme introvert. Oh, and about Sephiroth, I think he's one of the best character ever designed. Almost all of his skills are the upgraded versions of his normal attacks. That's what makes it interesting. Just like the Tales of series. the two unlikely related ones are Heartless Angel (reduce your HP to 1) and Supernova, just for the flashiness.
Amazing demo really but the time they allowed us to play was too short. Literally lined up for 2 hours to play 10 minutes. One guy refused to leave because he’s in the middle of the boss fight 😭
So I’m new to the whole ff7 story. Can someone explain to me why cloud and sephiroth are teamed up? I played the remake recently and I’m aware of the older game but I’m absolutely confused on everything.
I love the Junon Region field and battle theme! And of course the Boss Music, which I' m listening through your video. Thanks for the footage, you played quite well and showcased great synergy abilities
No one knows knows. It could be a month from release a week from release, months after the game has come out. But most likely a few weeks before the game releases maybe.....

@@Mishary939 before the official release date announcement, it was tentatively scheduled for Winter 2023 release. After the most recent trailer, the official release date was announced and digital pre-orders opened up. The countdown clock upon pre-ordering shows the exact release date for your country (it's around 100+ days for me, last I checked).
I like the battle music. Remake had one the best video game soundtracks ever. This music is good too this and gta vi are the only reasons I'm buying a ps5.
Cloud here is really Zack ( everybody knows that) i like how they have Zack personaility in Cloud's body becuase Cloud is telling the false story to his crew.
Just finished FF Intergrade and it's such a good game, i'm actually quite pissed off that Rebirth will come to PC in 2 years or so due to exclusives... FF7 was my first game ever on the PS1 and this is giving me chills for such a beauty.
Why make Sephiroth a playable character at the same level as Cloud/Zack? What made Sephiroth great was precisely his power, making him appear close but controlled by the AI to show you that he's on his own side, and to make you realize that you had to defeat him later on. Spending hours in the game and still knowing you weren't a match for him. That's what motivated you to level up and reach the end of the game with the desire to face him. It seems like the developers are making a remake of a game they've never played.
OMG THE AIR COMBAT LOOKS SO GOOD, SUCK IT EVERYONE WHO SAID WE NEED AN “AriAL ReCoVeRy MaTeRiA” 7:15 “Seph X Cloud shippers just shit their pants, and all the Tifa X Cloud shippers are feeling very uncomfortable right now.”
The other party members not in your party STILL engage in the boss rights, you can see Barrett and Red XIII attacking the fish monster during the fight (even though it does no damage). That is such an amazing touch.
Damn you killed that boss in like 2 minutes... I was a bit worried of this - abilities just do too much dmg or enemies arent tanky enough once you actually master the combat system. Hope there's a hard mode for a challenge again
I've never understood Open World Fatigue until watching this video. I'm excited for this game but as soon as I saw "pick up items scattered around the map and craft them into materials" I audibly groaned. I am hopeful that the game is able to put a good spin on it.

I played the Remake, it was really good & got platinum on the PS5. Now only 4 months left till Rebirth, it will get much more exciting to play the 2nd game w/the OG characters again & the newbies.
Synergy Attacks remind of the scene from Advent Children where the game fights Bahamut SIN
Pretty stoked to see how far the game will take em and how far the third game will expand upon the system

Every main character is exactly like they felt without the voice text and high graphics in the original ff7 they did such an amazing job bringing them to life maybe it was Advent Children that makes me think this because I saw that when I was younger but they just nailed everything about the characters minus the few cosmetic things from the original

I like how they gave little hints that Cloud is actually Zack in the flashback for the fans who know. Like Sephiroth saying "Such a puppy." Which was something Angeal called Zack all the time. He even called him that when talking to people close to him like his mother, so Sephiroth also knew he was "Zack the puppy."
What do you mean Cloud is actually Zack? Do you mean litterally? Because in the psp version with the Shinra you can see at the end just before Zack dies, he gave his sword to Cloud. And I have no idea when does that game takes place , I did'nt follow a lot Final Fantasy , but I actually knows well that game on Psp
@@gs.558 That game took place before FF 7 and I didn't mean literally. I meant that the person in Cloud's place in the flashback wasn't actually Cloud but really Zack. Cloud was one of the Infantrymen who accompanied them to Nibelheim. He was with them most of the way so he heard their conversations except when they went into the reactor, he stayed outside to protect Tifa. That's why his Memory of the incident is ALMOST perfect but there's spotty parts that someone who was there would notice like Tifa who clearly remembers Zack. He only went into the reactor after Sephiroth went mad. As for why he remembers speaking to Sephiroth in the Shinra Mansion basement and in the reactor the first time, that's because Sephiroth himself implanted those memories. He manipulated Cloud's memories through the Jenova Cells that Cloud received from Hojo after the event which you should recall if you played Crisis Core on the PSP.

I wonder if Sephiroths suddon drop in power is a choice made for gameplay reasons, or if it has something to do with the whispers and Sephiroth messing with history.
Considering in previous games he was outrageously strong compared to Zack and Cloud.
Heck in the first game he took no damage whatsoever during the flashback and could kill the enemy in one or two hits, while cloud would go down in one or two hits.
While in Crisis Core Zack was unable to defeat him, only managing to kill him due to a lucky backstab when he was dreaming in his own little world.
I could get it that this was done for gameplay reasons to make it less of a cakewalk. But I honestly want there to be a narrative reason to this suddenly weak Sephiroth.
Like trying to alter history, holding back during these moments to bond with Cloud, trying to make friends with him to draw him to his side for whatever goals he has set. (as Sephiroth has been trying hard in the remake to get Cloud to join up with him for some reason)
Though technically that should be Zack?
Lets just see where this goes and hope its not some weird ass-pull or dead end narrative.
(for those saying this was in his early life. No, he was always strong and barely had to train. Heck he's already shown to be superhuman in the trailer of the other FF7 game where he still has short hair as a young teen looking Sephiroth)
Yeah in Ever Crisis at least in cutscene he was monstrously strong even as a young teen. The best part is that it was his first deployment too. He never fought before that, a little spoiler but I figure most people won't play Ever Crisis so: Before the Wutai War most of Sephiroth's accomplishment's that made him a "Hero" were fabricated by Shinra to drive up recruitment. He was never deployed on the field to fight until his mission in Rhadore with Team Glenn. I'm sure Hojo tested his powers in the lab and stuff using the VR but he never had real experience until then. Also sadly his dream wasn't to be a Hero but to have a normal life. Also it was revealed Sephiroth was looking for his mother "Jenova" via a picture Hojo gave him... a picture of Lucrecia! That made me hate Hojo even more. He straight up gave the man a picture of his real mother and told him her name is Jenova. Hojo is a piece of work, I always knew this since the OG game but man the depths of his depravity keep getting worse.

Its a good fit considering Sephiroth never seemed to take pride in being called a war hero or being complimented on his amazing past accomplishments.
They were just lies and he knows it.
He also likely knows he could have realistically done those of course, but it likely felt very conflicting to just lie about it.

Likely in his perspective he was not lying as Lucretcia is the mother who bore Sephiroth, but the cells of Jenova are the mother that created Sephiroth.
Exploring the whole world in FF7 will be fun. I tried the new game + option in the first half but the ghost boss stopped me bc it was too hard and wasn't fun. I hope Cid's story remains the same, in his little town, the abandoned space-program and that rotund Shinra op showing up with his Mako-Gun. I really liked that part of the game. Golden Saucer should be be fun too

Little bit of video game history, Final Fantasy 7 was originally in development for the Nintendo 64. However, when Nintendo announced they were sticking with cartridges as the media format, Square went with Sony. Reason was, a cartridge didn't have the space to store all the FMVs. However, a CD with 700MB could. The Nintendo 64 was originally going to have a CD drive, but Sony and Nintendo had a falling out.
The first DVD players hit the US in 1997 and they were very very expensive. Around $800 in 1997 dollars. That's about $1500 today. The PS2, which used DVDs launched at $299 in 2000. That's about $530 today. Many people who didn't play games bought a PS2 just to play DVD movies as the PS2 was cheaper than many DVD players.
When PS 1 came out, CDs were the new high tech. Before that, you had cartrages on consoles and diskets on PCs. Both of them had just few MB. CDs had aroun 650 MB. It was a huge step. But you coul only dream about DVDs, it took few more years for them to emerge
Omg with body language and tone of the voice it's so easy to tell... in OG FF7 it wasn't that obvious because we had a lot of gaps to fill in with our imagination.
But here even if someone doesn't know the plot twist after playing Remake they would catch on that something is off about Cloud in this flashback.

Greatest action RPG combat of all time. I know I obviously never played this, but FF7R1 was already my fav action RPG combat ever, only issue I had is that it's limited, but this is just expanding on it which is exactly what I want and obviously expected. Aerith having Ward Shift as her special triangle move seems way better than the tempest move she has for that in FF7R1, plus way more.

Ya theres a dedicated dodge now. And you can slot twice as many abilities as before (in some cases 3 times if the character has aerial attacks).There will also be additional character skill trees now, and materia improvements obviously. This is going to be a much more realized version of the first games combat and mechanics

Demo will be most probably available a month or so before the release. All recent Square games that I can think of had a free demo, some of the best demos actually. DQ11 , KH3, Nier Automata, FF7R, Stranger of Paradise, FFXV all got demos before release.
the fact Sephy isnt god level busted and has rather solid but not OP move set makes me think he’ll be playable later. either as NG+ bonus or as part of the story being altered. which would be cool.
He isn't God level because technically that's not cloud with him, it's another first class soldier. That first class soldier isn't too far behind in terms of power to sephiroth

This looks SO DOPE. This basically has hit ALL the check marks for fans of the original (plus new). It has confirmed:
- Sephiroth will be playable & used in a clever mechanic (him being a teacher) so feeling legitimate why he's holding back to make it not too easy. Made him, as a nicer person (before he becomes obsessed), seem organic
- Red XIII being used and looks fun & different to play as
- Free roam with an open map which will appears to have tonnes of collectables which will allow for customisation (crafting/materials etc) which fun array of random enemies
- Sick looking team attacks with other characters which helps add diversity to try out new combinations
- Introduction of Yuffie at what looks like Junion port so is being replaced by that random girl who you give CPR to which is a smart way to bring her in earlier (& even get)
- Graphics look great & is first game that makes me want to get next generation console
- Music is insane
I wonder how far it will go into the story? Maybe up to the Temple of the Ancients of something? If it has the Golden Saucer; that would be insane.
This is a fair trade off about not having your previous characters (level 50) either, so you start again in a bigger environment. Maybe this one you'll be able to get to 99 (& use in the next sequel, if this isn't it).

Zack is the one here with Sephiroth and Cloud was one of the 2 grunts assigned to escort them. Cloud also happened to look up to Zack a lot. After the events of Nibelheim, both Zack and Cloud get fatally injured and were experimented on by Hojo. These experiments resulted in Cloud's memory being all messed up and made him think that he was Zack.

Glad to see they brought back the foraging and monster hunting mechanics from XV into this one, and gave us a cute digital assistant giving commentary and encouragement to boot. 😊

@@norberto6005 nah, Remake is notorious for this and it looks like they didn't fixed it in Rebirth. Most bosses in Remake had phases and ignores & cancels anything during the phase change, including limit breaks. If the 1st damage tick of your limit brings the boss over the cutoff for a phase change, the phase change cutscene plays and you've just wasted a limit break.
I was hoping you at least retained your limit gauge if the limit was canceled by a phase change. This was also a problem in KH Dream Drop Distance in the 3DS (not sure if this was fixed in KH 2.8): you can be forcibly dived during a boss fight, so it's always recommended to reset your dive timer before a boss.
Anyone else notice Cloud in the background, its great that he's here at the beginning of this Demo.
Simply AMAZING. I'm speechless. I love the original Final Fantasy 7, but this is on a whole nother level. It brings waves of nostalgia for me, but also the thrill of something new and adventurous. I'm genuinely excited that the game is seemingly taking on a different story path, I LIKE that it's different. I've played through FF7 several times, I know exactly how it plays out, if I wanted the story of the game to stay true to its predecessor, I would just play the old damn game. This is a brand new, modern work of art.

That Cloud fighting aside Sephiroth was Zack , hence the difference in personality.
Even until now, after so many games depicting stories of FF7, I still don't understand why everyone, especially Zack protected a weak-minded twerp like Cloud, hoping for him to grow strong. Normally they would fall into the pits of hell, not rise and become a hero.
Even in Advent Children, years later after the ending of FF7, Cloud's personality still remains an extreme introvert.
Oh, and about Sephiroth, I think he's one of the best character ever designed.
Almost all of his skills are the upgraded versions of his normal attacks. That's what makes it interesting. Just like the Tales of series.
the two unlikely related ones are Heartless Angel (reduce your HP to 1) and Supernova, just for the flashiness.

Amazing demo really but the time they allowed us to play was too short. Literally lined up for 2 hours to play 10 minutes. One guy refused to leave because he’s in the middle of the boss fight 😭

So I’m new to the whole ff7 story. Can someone explain to me why cloud and sephiroth are teamed up? I played the remake recently and I’m aware of the older game but I’m absolutely confused on everything.

I like the battle music. Remake had one the best video game soundtracks ever. This music is good too this and gta vi are the only reasons I'm buying a ps5.
Cloud here is really Zack ( everybody knows that) i like how they have Zack personaility in Cloud's body becuase Cloud is telling the false story to his crew.

Why make Sephiroth a playable character at the same level as Cloud/Zack? What made Sephiroth great was precisely his power, making him appear close but controlled by the AI to show you that he's on his own side, and to make you realize that you had to defeat him later on. Spending hours in the game and still knowing you weren't a match for him. That's what motivated you to level up and reach the end of the game with the desire to face him. It seems like the developers are making a remake of a game they've never played.

The other party members not in your party STILL engage in the boss rights, you can see Barrett and Red XIII attacking the fish monster during the fight (even though it does no damage). That is such an amazing touch.
Damn you killed that boss in like 2 minutes... I was a bit worried of this - abilities just do too much dmg or enemies arent tanky enough once you actually master the combat system. Hope there's a hard mode for a challenge again
This is just a tutorial boss, it’s not meant to be difficult
I mean it was the flashback boss so it makes sense that the abilities would be overpowered

I've never understood Open World Fatigue until watching this video. I'm excited for this game but as soon as I saw "pick up items scattered around the map and craft them into materials" I audibly groaned. I am hopeful that the game is able to put a good spin on it.
