Thank you very much! Yes, Switch Axe needs some rebalancing from Sunbreak, if it is on the level of Iceborne I'm sure we'll have a lovely new iteration of Switch Axe!
Most of the response I’ve seen to this trailer is very positive(myself included), but I’ve seen a small percent of people who weren’t impressed to say the least. That minority opinion seems to be suggesting that this game looks to be going towards being a generic action game instead of a MH game. So, from what we’ve seen, how do you feel about that aspect of it? What makes a MH game, and are you seeing that so far?
Thank you for your comment. Literally everything about this game screams Monster Hunter like no other game ever could, that's my opinion. I think the monster hunter team always wanted to have these virtual ecosystems filled to the brim with life and details but simply never had the technology to do so. Since World, they finally have the tech to breath much more life into the monsters how they always wanted to. They don't NEED to give monsters turf wars, drinking animations, sunbathing animations and so on but they DO because they care about the wonderful world they are creating. The combat gets new mechanics to learn with every new title and there's no one who can tell me that's bad. Imagine if we got literally the same game over and over like FIFA with no real changes in game mechanics, only button input changes and smaller adjustments. We get actually fully fletched new fighting mechanics and we don't even need to speak about QoL improvements like picking up materials, finding monsters and so on. Monster Hunter is in the best state it's ever been in in my opinion and they are evolving the game into the right direction with Wilds. The only thing that would stop my hype dead in its tracks would be loot boxes, season passes and such bs.
@@BloodyWyverian Very well said, and I agree completely. Even aside from the cool details within the world, it seems like this could really add the Hunter part of MH like never before. Having a pack of monsters that you need to lead around and find a way to separate from each other so you can hunt the alpha of the group is so cool. It seems like locales are coming back, so no open world, but the map still seems pretty large from the trailer, so hopefully the tracking aspect also feels fun. I guess I can understand why some people feel like MH is losing the charm from the older, pre gen 5 games, but things like visuals, gameplay, and accessibility do need to change and progress as time goes on. I look forward to the next trailer in a few days, and next year can’t get here soon enough!
Oh you are right, I never had any issues so far with MH games but that is a super important aspect! The large locals and many monsters may be very impactful but I am confident that the developers test it on all kinds of hardware.
@@BloodyWyverian Yea it looks super polished, and the trailer makes it look like it runs fine, even if its 30 fps. I hope they go the Perfomance mode route for consoles to get 60. DD2 didnt have it but was definetely rushed

Really hoping they bring back IB power axe or something similar to make the sword/axe balance intersting. Great vid as always :)

Sunbreak had really cool additions to Switch Axe, I kinda hope for the counter to return in some form... but I take any defense they give us lol
the huge herds worry me about performance. please capcom dont make it like dd2😅

It's a shame they didn't show swaxe changes.
Yeah.. I mean the very first trailers basically all focus on showing some gameplay and Greatsword action, we'll get some info eventually!
lmfao those others milking the fuck outta it
