A fan favorite against my favorite weapon, Zinogre is a fun fight but I just wish it had some better hitzones for those juicy damage numbers.

Are the Buffs enough? MH Wilds Community Update
Frostcraft is such a cool set. I hope Wilds will also come with sets with unique bonuses that could fit to Switch Axe. Mabe a damage buff every time you morph. Or a buff for parry/offset.
This was beautiful, as a sw ax user, i never seen damage output of consistent 3 digits at high numbers, this was some good gameplay
Wonderful hunting! I watched a lot of your video about MHW-I, found the picture quality is very good, and the FPS is very high, what is Your PC spec? Will you make a video for quality tuning in the future?
i think main theme for wilds is to build charge or stack or whatever to launch ultimate move. but play sns is really bad doesnt have anything!
Sick fight. Why do you clutch claw onto it and jump off?
@@Vel-z4w Thank you! Using the clutch claw resets the monster's stagger and it takes longer for it to move again. Giving me a bigger opening for damage!
@ damn, that’s tight. I swear I learn something new everyday about monster hunter.
Disclaimer: Weapons inferior to Switch Axe may struggle
I still havent even fought this thing yet loll
It was and probably still is the least hunted monster of Iceborne lol
Fun fact: Axe mode + Evade distance 3 makes rolling a faster mode of travel than sprinting.
Looks like I found another daily hunter 🤩 That was a clean hunt, good luck for the rest of your challenge, we're almost there ! 💪
People saying they dropping SA ... and I was so happy with fluidity of movements of SA that I wanted to start playing it for the first time instead of LS...
Great work! This is a fight I still struggle with depending on which weapon I use haha
Thank you and I also still struggle against it sometimes. But it is still a fun fight, certainly more fun than azure lol
I've noticed this a few times and I think I know why but I'm gonna ask to check your reasoning. Do you delay your ZSD clagger punishes to get past the animation lock for another flinch?
Yes, 100%. Basically as soon as your hunter takes down his hand after clawing onto the monster, you start the ZSD and the detonation should hit just as the monster can flinch again!
Heroics procced quickly today. We love a smooth set-up :) also 728 damage on Heavy Slam is NICE
Activating is always a bit random but this time was pretty quickly lol On an enraged G Rathian with it's head broken and tenderized I might be able to get over 1k with a heavy slam
Estou um pouco preocupado com a direção do gameplay deste jogo. Parece que majoritariamente algumas das armas estão sendo reformuladas para serem jogadas como era em Rise Sunbreak. Apenas spam de um unico movimento. Charge blade = Savage Axe only Switch Axe = Parry/Full Release Insect Glaive = Spinning Slash I Hope i'm just wrong...
Nahh bro gg gotta respect a more experienced swagaxe user when you see one
Man, that was smooth AF. And love the finish!
your gems is amazing, where do u farm those gems? im at MR 63
Best for this is prbably the tempered Teostra in the arena "Day of Ruin" with a high droprate for rare jewels!
Aspirational. Hate fighting RN and this brings me catharsis.
so smooth man.
I still question how this dumb purple chicken became one of my favorite monsters out of all of the ones I’ve fought before. Also nice kill.
Thank you and yeah I really like the fight too... I also am very surprised by how this thing ended up so memorable lol
i like to think that every monster hunter who knows the pattern of monsters just plays the new released games because of hatred for said monsters and their new homies.
Basically, yes. But also cool new gear, weapons and environments.
Very smooth. What are your thoughts on Wilds SA?
I had a lot of fun with it and with some tweaks it could be the best SA we've ever seen I think
@BloodyWyverian very excited. 5 weeks
You’re crazy, didn’t healed even once
I'm curious are you gonna do a Fatalis hunt before Wilds? I know it isn't an arena fight but I would love to see you hunt a Fatalis because of the way you tackle your hunts. It shows the hunt of an experienced player that isn't a speedrunner which I personally prefer to watch over speedruns. Efficient and still fast in hunt time so to speak :)
@seebaerkoenig2890 Thank you very much and yes Fatalis is coming soon! I sit at 99 hunted Fatalis and I think about a way to make the 100th special... a heroics run on Fatalis hasn't worked out so far lol but I'm at it.
@@BloodyWyverian Glad to hear! Looking forward to what you gonna cook for us :)
Can't wait for the Stygian episode. I've been mucking around with that bugger (ha) for a bit recently and it's been pretty fun interrupting and hopping through it's ultimate. Regular Zinogre's good and all but Stygian has a little bit more variety to the moveset which, after properly learning, is just more fun imo
@@barbedfungus3877 you won't have to wait much longer lol I really love stygian as well, its design and fight are just even better compared to regular Zinogre!
@@BloodyWyverian I used to think it was a bunch of nonsense, only fun with Longsword or Charge Blade but it really was just a skill issue. Now, all i need is Evade Window 3 to hop through any attack in Sword mode. Started absolutely dunking on it and it's now one of my preferred fights in the game
I still never understand why they changed Zinogre this much in World/Iceborne.... it feels more like Stygian Zinogre than regular Zinogre Which is why when fighting Stygian, that fight feels right and also more fun than regular
Zinogre might look intimidating but as long as you can interrupt its charging up or knock it out of its charged state then the pupper isn't as scary as he seems.
If I had a nickle for every time this man had a monster agonizing before even proccing Heroics I would have 2 nickels Which isn't much but it's weird it happened twice
My man @imaGiraffeMH already did an incredible video about Wilds SA ruclips.net/video/5RUccl6Uw8k/видео.htmlsi=eO7_Baq6QYcBEBFG
That was so clean! So hit the head to bring it to the ground and hit the legs to keep in on the ground, good to know.
While flying, flying wyverns take bonus part damage to their head so it really pays off focusing the head! And their legs are another weakspot that topples then easily! Just like you said basically lol
@@BloodyWyverian Oh wow I thought it was just to make them fall, but it's actually bonus part damage? Thanks a lot for the info!
Forgot you were doing a heroics run, lol! Yeah the main reason I don't use Heroics is its just a pain to activate sometimes. I used it a little after I found your Metal Rath video a fair while ago (with the Disufiroa music) but poison and fire deal blasted red damage. Still, despite the Heroics issues, that claw shot still did some DAMAGE
when we have a full hp bar, we don’t appreciate what we have, and then we survive at 10% :)
Personally adore Acidic over regular Glav since Acidic use its Tail SOO much often unlike the regular who is AOE Fireball spam somehow 💀
Glavenus is really weird sometimes. Sometimes he spams tailattacks and other times he loves to do the fireballs after powering up. But acidic is really cool overall!
My main issue with Wilds Swaxe: In World/Iceborne you get a satisfying pop everytime you mash the button in ZSD. Now in Wilds it just sort of fizzles and then explodes. Which makes the button mashing waaaaay less enjoyable
I would really have liked to see axe mode's Rising Slash get sped up. At 3:31 you clearly see the move coming an react to it using rising slash but the wind up is just too long even for one of the monster's slowest moves.
The only issue I had with switch axe is that spamming flrward triangle does Forward slash - Side slash - Double circular slash, I much preferred when it dit overhead slash as 2nd hit in the combo. I know the move still exists but its hard to mix in the flow. The chip damage from the counter is a bit rough idk if its a beta number issue. I actually liked the two counters of switch axe and that goes a long way as I despised the one in sunbreak, I had the same gripes as youwith sunbreak Swaxe and I'll go even further and say that the wirebug counter killed the weapon to me. You just want to spam it all the time as it deals crazy damage, allows you to keep the aggression and amps you automatically, might as well replace the whole controller by a big red button that activates it. It was sl strong every other wirebig option was out of the question. Rant aside, the sword mode counter in wilds feels smooth and subtle. A beautiful motion that keeps the flow without overdoing it
Rare Bloody manual morph
Only OG swaxe professionals know the secret manual morph tech
You are my calendar
SB swaxe is literally Ls cosplay
So many unfortunate things in this fight haha But Fulgur Anja is so cool!
Been sayin this since the beta. Wilds swaxe is amazing, but it had its problems
How do you keep track of the monster's enrage status and what items you have without the HUD?
I can tell the monster's reage status because of agitator, when the message pops up that agitator has deactivated I need to enrage the monster again. Also by the steam coming of the monsters mouth. The only items I used in this fight are mega demon drug, demon powder, might seed and the sonic bombs to get Diablos out of the ground.
Oh wow! I've never noticed the mouth detail! Thanks for the info
Hey man, im kinda new to monster hunter and rushed through the main game beating it in about 60 hours, I really struggle in iceborne and i dont know much about abilities, status's, what switch axes to aim for aswell as armor, I just feel so stuck man. Im currently on fulgur anjanath using the dying light switch axe and the head and bracers from the shrieking legiana set, with some other random armor mixed in.
I have a playlist for Switch Axe guides and Gear: ruclips.net/p/PL-Vp5s9Y3iMa9KgDSLA55trhZ41MYHZID And I have a "guide" on how to hunt Master Rank monsters which may be helpful: ruclips.net/video/S0KbBM6r4ZI/видео.html AND a video on some Switch Axe Builds as well: ruclips.net/video/ukY2-mQLSHY/видео.html I hope these can help you a bit on your journey! If you have any specific questions let me know!
Monster Hunter can be pretty overwheming at times, there are ton of mechanics, and Iceborne really is a jump in difficulty. If I may, I can try to help with your questions. 1) abilities : I guess you mean Armor skills? Those are usually innate to armors, and usually you can add new skills by putting Decorations on your armor. There are a few skills that are quite important depending on your needs: Damage skills, which are the most sought after because a dead monster is a monster that can't kill you (attack boost, weakness exploit, critical eye, critical boost, Agitator, [elemental] attack...); defensive skills, especially when a monster deals a lot of damage (Defense boost, health boost, recovery rate, recovery plus, [elemental] resistance and [Status] resistance depending on the monster), evasion skills, to help you not getting hit, very important for switch axe (Evade window, evade extender) and the comfort skills, which can help a lot in general (For switchaxe, power prolonger will help you keep your buffs up, Handicraft/razor sharp/protective polish/speed sharpening to keep your sharpness up. There is also one skill I consider a must have : stun resistance 3). Depending on your needs, you can try slotting in different decorations and try different armors. 2) The Shrieking legiana armor is not bad, but there are better options for a switch axe: Rathalos or Odogaron for damage, Nargacuga for evasion, or you can try mixing the sets a bit (for example: "Odo head, rath chest and arm and Narga waist and legs" will give you Weakness exploit and Evade window. You can also replace the hea and waist for Shrieking legiana armor for extender which might be easier to use) 3) there are three types of "damage" in the game: Raw (the big number above sharpness, basically damage), element (fire, water, thunder, ice, dragon, each one deals different damage depending on the monster's weaknesses), and Status (which don't deal damage direclty, but will build up an invisible number to poison, paralyse, put to sleep or make a monster explode). There is also Affinity (which is critical chance). Better sharpness also means better damage and less chance to bounce (purple being the best, followed by white and blue). In Iceborne, usually Raw is the better option. 4) your weapon is the Nergigante High rank axe, I am actually very impressed you made it this far with this weapon (especially against Barioth, which is usually a big wall). For you I really recommend Saber's bite 2 (Great Jagras axe). It has good damage, sharpness, decoration slots, and an exhaust phial (easy to get to Amped state and sword hits to the head can stun the monster) 5) general advice, just in case: upgrade your armor to incrase your defense, eat meals at the hub before going on a hunt (get the one that gives the most health usually), use the Palico gadget that fits you the most. Don't forget to get the armor/power charms and talons in your inventory. And of course: no need to go fast, you can go slow and focus on not getting hit (you have 50 minutes, so no need to rush). The most important is to have fun. Hope that helps! Happy hunting! Edit: I forgot the most important: BloodyWyverian has some great videos for all skill levels! I always learn new tips and tricks.
@@Yoollloooo1 thank you so much, I appreciate this heavily, I'll definitely put these things into work when I play
I have a question: sometimes, it feels like you prefer to go for "double side slash, slash, double side slash" rather than "slash, slash, slash, triple side slash" (at 1:42 and 4:12, and in other videos I think) Is there a reason for that damage-wise or timing wise?
Great observation! In terms of damage I'm sure these to versions are VERY similar so usually it is a timing thing or just me not thinking about it too much honestly! Usually I try to time it though to be able to react once the monster gets back up.
@@BloodyWyverian Oh I see thank you for the explanation! In a past video I remember that the "three slash, three side slash" combo was the best, but I might focus a bit too hard on trying to use it (and often end up hurt). If they are so similar I think I'll try using the double slash whenever I don't have a huge opening.
When crownfarming him I thought he was one of the least fun fights. But then I realised I could stop him from going to "sharpened mode" with a sling burst that could stagger, and since then he's become one of my favourite monsters to bully Nice video, as always!
I remembered acidic as a pretty annoying monster but doing him again for these videos I actually had a lot of fun, just like with Glavenus I love dodging his very fast tailswipes and yes, keeping him from sharpening his tail can help a lot!
Strongest long sword Carnotaur vs Caveman with transformer
acidic is cool too not as much as regular but still cool
I will never forget carting to the second tail swipe when I fought my first Glavenus.
One of the coolest monsters in the entire franchise
