Wow, Carlsbad has certainly changed from when I was there last as a young fella! That was well over 55 years ago! Love it! Gotta get back there one day for sure! Thanks so much and have yourself a fantastic weekend! Bruce and Otis
Well Done! My IPhone took better pictures than the High end digitals we carried. I was surprised. The ranger told us before we entered that the Gift Shop you noted was not owned by the National Parks and they got no money from it, yet the Bookstore at the end or top of the elevators was Nation Park controlled and revenue was all Carlsbad Caverns. So we spent our money at it.
The iphone is amazing! I’ve directed over 100 commercials and lots of client productions there are things the iphone can do, especially in high contrast situations. I shoot with one when it’s raining or in sand blown places like white sands- see my New Mexico parks video. this video was shot by a sony 7s3 at iso 25000! it’s the best low light camera. interesting news about the gift shops! Wonder why the other one is there.
Thanks again for letting me use your footage one shot is going in the intro to the series. btw- you dont need to speak to make videos people will watch. goto “The Flying Dutchman” channel. and watch a few vids. he asked me to voice is videos a couple of years ago. i watched his Glacier NP video (i have a glacier np video w 1.6 million views) and told him he didn’t need it. his glacier video has 1.3 million views. you might want to invest in a gimbal for smooth shots. They make them for phones, and gopros and bigger cameras like mine. the ones for phones are are about $150. gopro 9&10 have pretty good built in stabilizing. keep shooting good stuff
as i said the Big Room trail is wheelchair accessible. there’s only slight up slopes on the way back. should b no problem. Please subscribe to my channel

Love your channel, very informative and intuitive. I should watch and learn from you but I'm not good at speaking. This is where I live Carlsbad.

@@TheWestisBig Thank you for that info. I will surely follow your advice to get better. I'm just a novice here. Yes you are welcome!
your video showed how nice that trail is. and that’s what’s important.
Steve, how is the wheelchair access?? Taking my 87 year old Pops out there in April... Can't wait, we last saw Carlsbad in the late 60's

@@TheWestisBig have been for awhile!! Love the content
Most helpful video I've seen on Carlsbad. Too bad I found it after going there.
Thanks. That’s my goal for all my videos.
Why didn't you take the natural entrance in?
You didn't listen to the video. I explain why,
