thanks for posting - I had never seen interviews with survivors before. This case was, and forever should be a black mark on the Yorkshire Police. Police arrogance, indifference to witnesses information, stubbornness, inflexibility and stupidity let Sutcliffe get away with it far too long. Thank goodness UK cops are much more scientific sensible these days.
That the cops and public call one a blameless victim is exactly what puts a bullseye on these murder victims...it perpetuates it...law enforcement should know better
The whole photo fit profiles were so saddening. Think it's on another documentary where the police placed all the photo fits on the wall when Sutcliffe was caught, and couldn't believe how many of the faces looked the same.
All of the victims -- whatever their station in life -- equally did not deserve this wretched P.O.S. to attack or murder them. Prostitute, student, mother, daughter, sister, human being, no matter -- they all are or were precious, blameless lives unlike Sutcliffe's.
What year was this documentary filmed? And then released? I wonder if any of the interviewees are dead now? I wrote an article on my blog that briefly mentioned Theresa Sykes. A person commented saying she was Theresa's second cousin and that Theresa is dead now. I'd love to know if that's true or if that comment was just from a random troll
"This man will continue to kill...until he's caught." Well, thank you so much, Captain Obvious. How much were you paid to discount evidence and repeat suspect renderings and state the obvious while innocent women died and their families grieved, and are still grieving?
I agree,i thinkn they're tring to get some closure and get rid of the demons but i don't think it would help,it's surprising that Richard McCann has forgiven him,but that has helped him,Sutcliffe is a sick coward and the victims dont mean anything and they want to know why but there is no reason but to satisfy some sick sexual gratification
Perhaps it's not bringing back bad memories for these survivors. I imagine that the memories are always present, never really leaving them and talking to people about it, especially those that have been through the same thing at the hands of the same person can be therapeutic. It can provide some sense of closure to know they're not alone in all of it. So I imagine that it's less about bringing back the bad memories, and instead dealing with them.
Suzy Young when Paul Bernardo first started raping young girls it's when they got off the bus from work and were walking to their homes in the suburbs. Sometimes it's not remote areas.
I couldn't understand anything they were saying. Well see, I couldn't hear over the food I was chewing. Crunch was too loud. Therefore, I thought it best to turn on the CC... but boy was that trash. Utterly useless, I say. So I just switched to a quieter food. I'm good now.

Even when people try to forget, they often suddenly get flashbacks, so some say it's best to talk about it all to let it out.
Just cos it happens yr ago DOESN'T mean you don't live with the after effects every day! You can't just completely forget it
Why do woman walk dark roads, alleys, and other remote places alone? I will never understand this stupidity!!
