I agree! My house burned April 14 this year. I cannot say enough about all of the Houston Fire Department firefighters. They ALL were empathetic, caring, non-judgmental, kind, extremely brave, etc. Really, they are BEYOND BRAVE. My Schnauzer, Jimmy, would not come outside, eventhough his open kennel was just five feet from the open back door. I screamed his name over and over and over. Jimmy just continued to incessantly bark. My hope of his surviving was nil. I had ready gone into the chaos three times, trying to rescue him to no avail. The smoke was so thick, and breathing was impossible. There was ZERO visibility. The fire raged on, spreading, devouring my house and what I thought to be my sweet, innocent Jimmy. After about five or ten minutes of the Houston F.D.'s arrival, I looked up, and coming down my driveway towards me was a fireman in full gear, cradling Jimmy in his arms. Jimmy was alive and fine! FOREVER, I will be grateful, and I hold all those firefighters in the highest esteem. Truly, they are a cut above the rest.

Thank you to all who rescued this sweet baby. I don't understand why people continue to abuse and neglect animals. But what amazes me more is the fact most animals who are abused by humans are so willing to forget and forgive! I can promise you that if someone starved me or beat me or left me without medical care I wouldnt forget I would want payback! So what does that say about humans vs animals? They are the kinder species, more loving, yes! God Bless the man and his family for restoring g my faith that there are still good people in this world!
The family did a really sweet and wonderful thing for this dog. I wish there were more like Foley. My wife and I were in the animal rescue business for years, so I understand the commitment this family made. Ten out of ten stars!

This is a very uplifting story. I’ve been thinking of adopting another since my great friend Sammy died some years ago. I still miss him. I’m sure there’s a a wonderful companion waiting for me to adopt him somewhere. Watching your video has made me more determined to move and to find my furry four legged friend. Thank you very much.

U r right there was this one pup I use to mess with like play around wit it the the puppy didn't like it I was playing too much with the puppy then 1 year later that same dog seen me on a street there was other people on the street on sight no joke type stuff when that dog seen me it wanted to kill me I was so scared because I was awww I haven't seen u in a long time that thing try to bite me I took off jumped on a car and screamed out for the owner everybody on the street was laughing too I'm like bro y then the owner told me u remember what u did to her when she was a pup I was like oooohhhhh ever since I been nice and chill with a puppy especially if it's not my dog

Chunk turned out to have a beautiful coat of gray hair. I love our pit and praise all folks who love them too, they're fun loving, loyal and true companions to adults and children. So glad you accepted this dog into your family.

Chunk was one lucky girl. Such a great guy to notice a poor, little dog in bad condition while he is dealing with a serious situation as a firefighter. Chunk grew up to be a big, beautiful girl lived by her family. Great story.

It always shocks me when I see how different the dogs look after the get rescued, and they heal, and get fur again.
great people to take him in. I used to keep dog food & snacks in my car to feed a dog that come to my work all the time. I even bought him a flea collar. I wanted to take him but no pets were aloud at my home. thankful i got one of my co-workers husbands to take him home! he lives a great life along with two other dogs he had. I love to see people step up and have a heart ❤❤❤

I have a lot of Firemen Friends and Police Officers. However this video has really gave more of a respect for them. Not only do they battle fire and crime they also show compassion toward other living animal. Keep up the great work guys and women to. People can really learn a lot about you all and that your job also includes rescuing animals as well. I’m really happy the fireman adopted the dog. He or she really turned out to be a beautiful dog.

@@josephhodges9819 One of my wolves, even as a cub, was huge. In his enthusiasm he would take off and I'd practically become airborne. I used one of these collars on him to slow him down. Once he understood the concept of cause and effect, he became much more considerate of me. The collar came off.
@@dianironfeather7785 @Joseph Hughes in Finland you'd get a fine and most likely be in court for animal abuse if you were ever seen using that POS collar on any animal. There's a reason it's forbidden in any country that has some understanding of animal well being. Then again, in the US, they clip pet bird's wings, slash off tails and ears from dogs (also forbidden in EU as animal cruelty), keep cats and dogs in tiny crates (also forbidden in EU as animal cruelty) etc etc. If you try to explain that it's not healthy for the animals you get sh*t as a response. Some people aren't really all that good at taking in new beliefs, no matter how well they are rationalized for them.
