Rain was scared and expressed it in a way that I have never heard in my life! Her cry was heartbreaking, and I am so happy that Carey Linnell called Hope For Paws and asked for help.
Her ears were eaten by flies, her coat was filthy, and I can't imagine what caused her to be so fearful.
Loreta Frankonyte was able to secure her, calm her down, and I initiated the first contact while Loreta was ready to pull her away from me if needed. Rain never did anything aggressive, she allowed me to touch her and along with Carey, we gained her trust and got her into the crate and from there to the hospital.
The next day, Loreta and I met our friend Allison Dunbar on a rescue of a dog named Monkey. After the rescue we headed to the hospital to clean him up, and at the hospital, Allison met Rain and fell in love!
A few days later, after a short recovery and a little bit of training with the Lovejoy Foundation, Allison, Kyle and Ernie came to visit Rain again, and the way to the adoption application was short :-)
Rain was renamed Sassy Pants Dunbar, and she just LOVES her new life!

FunForSameer I found a female dog that was badly injured and was on the streets and starving! I took the poor dog in my car and took her to the vet. She was a stray and I decided to adopt her, but the vet said there is another THING! She was pregnant! A couple weeks later she was healthy and had 3 boys and 1 girl. I'm glad they are ok. Also I hope every dog gets a nice home. I areledy had 3 other dogs, but I'm glad I adopted her and she and her puppies are safe. Also you are right. We should have more people who have alot of love and will take care of dogs that need homes. Also my mom said I can get a dog if I take care of all the other ones and make sure the puppies get a good home. People are amazing people and really rude people. Help a dog if you can! 😢🐶

Dogs are pretty smart like that. They remember the good times, and unfortunately the bad times. But they are forgiving, and give unconditional Love.

A few years ago I rescued a little dog from the dump somebody just threw him off there like a piece of garbage and I'm happy to say he has a loving home with my parents and me, he ended up becoming attached to my mom and whines when mom isn't around

I'm 28 and I'm in tears too.. Sometimes people can be very bad. Then there's hope for paws and all of us here on their channel and everyone that call them for saving animals. When I feel sad, I come here to remember how much the world can be good. :)

K Mon yep I found my shepherd mix the same way... off the street, used burgers to earn his trust. I named him faith because although he was abandoned by people, somehow he still had enough faith that at least one would show him unconditional love. Incredible. I love him. He is my world. The family that adopted this beautiful shepherd are super blessed!

I'm not too sure about that. He is still mortified, despite intensive training, by any sticks, brooms, and things of the sort. The Vet stated, from his assessment that he had sustained some fractures linked to animal abuse.

I'm just here to ruin your day, there's actually more dog out there that got tortured like this and doesn't have a chance of escaping. Some of them get beaten to death. There's this websites I know who show thousands of animal being tortured. I've heard some of the dogs cry even louder than this one. What a sad world we live in.

Real people are kind and compassionate, sick ones that hurt animals or people, should spend a lot of time in prison.
No one knows what was wrong with that dog. It could have been stressed because it lost its owner, the owner could have dumped the dog. But I doubt physical abuse was to blame. The dog looked well taken car of when found.

@@E1VM also you can tell the previous owners knew how to discipline the dog considering most dogs would have attacked, makes me think the previous owner may not have beat her but they treated her like shit and used her and once they didn’t want her they abandoned her, hence the fear and mistrust but also the non aggression. German shepherds are great tracking dogs so it was most likely a hunter with no respect for the creatures they employ to help hunt, which is sad, if the case, I’m a hunter and hunting dogs are amazing

My dog cries kind like this when he's left alone for to long. I don't know why, he's a rescue so I don't know much about his past except he was taken from his previous owners for neglect

I just wish I had millions , I would give all I could to ALL these animal rescue people....I can't believe how people with so much money don't give all they can!! How many damn cars, houses, clothes, and other useless shit do they need? I would give so much if I had it... because I know they really need funds to keep operating!!! She is an amzing gentle Dog. I'm always amazed how fast Dogs gives trust back again at people after they were horribly abused or bad treated by them. This is heart braking, as this character of them is exactlly what makes them so vulnerable to suffer again and again from abusing. When they are suffering they are so alone in this world agaisnt any evilnes. They have no one in their life they can get comfort from like most human can find in family and friends. Always remember- They are totally alone in this big planet. They are a gift to our world. Be kind and merciful with them and to other animals you meet. You can really feel how your heart gets wider when you do something good for them.
They're also the only known animals who can love humans more than they love themselves

@@Jombi-d3g this is so true. I got cut as a child once when I broke a mirror. There was blood everywhere. My mom saw me and screamed. Our dog ran from the backyard and jumped threw the window. Breaking the glass pane. She made it half way through and landed on the broken shards of glass on the window frame. I went to the hospital and needed 4 stitches. My dog went into surgery and received 184 stitches and a blood transfusion. We changed all the first floor windows to plexiglass after that. Dogs will lay down their lives for you.
This makes me so sad, animals are amazing! Treat them with love!

When I left my Chi to be fixed, when I came to pick her up... she was in the arms of one of the staff who brought her out to me. When she saw me, I swear, her bottom lip quivered and huge tears rolled down her face like a human. How can people be cruel to these gifts from God? Tell me they don't have a soul...no, I know better. So happy she's sheltered now from the cold, lonely world. I think these dogs do a little rescuing of us! They can change us for the better.

This hit me. I found a dog on the street a month ago. Posted on Facebook and there had been several people who posted of finding him but still put him back on the street. I took him to the vets and no one claimed him. So 2 weeks later he’s mine. He’s so happy. He was absolutely terrified at first. Now he follows me everywhere and has a happy and safe home. So happy to see this beautiful video! 💜

There are people who are sick and are dying in the streets, and there are children dying of disease and starvation in Africa! Instead of helping the less fortunate, these people donate their time and energy to saving wild animals who not only attack many helpless victims at an alarming rate (many of them children and infants), but will never contribute anything to society, and will not be responsible for the maintenance of civilization.
Do you see any dogs who are doctors, lawyers, engineers, teachers, architects, builders, scientists, etc???
It is *humans* who can shape and better our world, despite our flaws. Get a bunch of humans together and through collaboration and teamwork, they can create amazing things! Get a bunch of stinking, slobbering mutts together and what have you got?
They will bark *even louder!* Their stink will be even greater! Chances are they will attack anyone they spot who happens to look vulnerable or exhibit the attributes of what mutts would perceive as prey! Look at how many children and infants have been attacked by these things, *unprovoked!* And most attacks just happen to come from the family dog, who has never shown any signs of aggression, and was loved and trained well since it was a pup!
And I don't want to hear anything about *service* mutts, who only make up less than one percent of the entire dog population. These damn mutts have no idea what they are doing, and are doing only what they were trained to do, *for food!* That is all these mutts think about. They don't care about helping your stupid ass, they are only thinking "This is what I have to do to get food!", because it was *food* that was used to *train* them in the *first* place! If these stupid stinking crap bags truly were altruistic then they wouldn't *need* to be trained to help people in the *first* place, not would they need to be bribed with food to perform such tasks! Furthermore look at how many people were attacked by their *own* service dogs!!! Dog did not look malnourished just dirty so might have wondered to far from home and couldn't figure out the way back. That with some loud sounds or random strangers reaching to help would maybe make the dog even more anxious and scared. Not sure this story, but many dogs are "rescued" and treated as dumped animals, when their owners are at home sad as can be.

These people who adopted her are, too, keeping old dogs! So many people won't adopt old dogs, and I can understand it - not wanting to fall in love and get attached just to have your heart broken in a couple years. But at the same time, there is nothing like the sweetness and gratitude of an old dog, and giving an abandoned old dog a loving home to live out their days in is wonderfully fulfilling. I will NEVER, EVER understand how people can get rid of their old dogs, who have been faithful friends for so many years. That is just cold to me. I have old dogs, and I love them more than anything else in the world, and I just can't imagine not taking care of them and loving them and giving back to them the love and loyalty they've given me all these years until their dying breath.

No, it's not clearly terrified due to abuse, it was crying from fear because it was probably abandoned in the streets after being raised in a home. Dogs who got physically abused tend to be very aggressive.

Judging by how fearful the dog was, it was probably better off for her in the long run. I would imagine her previous owners were abusive. Of course it would have been better had she been dropped off at a shelter. The people who had her before must be real animals.

It was her attempt to communicate. That "whimpering cry" was a "I don't want any trouble" cry. She didn't even flinch with the snares going over her head. Corner a dog like my pit mix, and he'll give you a "I'll bit the crap outta you" growl. They're both scared, they just give you two different responses.

I’m not saying the dog in the video wasn’t abused I’m just saying she could be crying out of fear I’ve seen and heard it plenty of times. At the shelter I work at and at my friends dog rescue, once they’re off the street they’re friendly just like this dog.

I feel the same way only not so nice about it. I am unfortunately guilty for being as cruel if not worse than the person who hurt this dog or any animal for that matter. I wouldn't just want that person dead, I would want them to suffer in the same hurt the animal did only 1000 times worse and 10,000 times longer. That makes me a bad person I know. I adopted a dog who we got from a rescue shelter and he was abused by his previous owner he made a sound like rain did the first time I touched him with love he was screaming in fear and whining but I was speaking to him calmly telling him that you are going to be ok he had tears coming down his face he’s only puppy age. Later on when I took a nap in the shelter he was resting on my chest when I opened my eye and my parents said this “do u wanna adopt him?” And I said “yeah let’s give him a better life” his name is alastor and he is 4 years old now and he is a beautiful beagle with a black heart on his forehead. Don’t shop for pets just adopt one
My sincere advise to all dog owners, if you can’t raise them, please don’t buy/adopt them and leave them on the roads/pavements. Dogs cannot hunt like other wild animals. Please understand this. Long live hope for the paws
