You know, I am an atheist. I don't want to get contentious here. I will not challenge your beliefs. What I do know is that Takis doing this saves precious lives, and doing so affects thousands of lives positively. Him sharing it gives that experience to tens of thousands of lives. And my hope, which I believe we share, is that seeing things like this allows those tens of thousands to spread their compassion exponentially. And with time, no one will have videos like this to share, because humans won't allow it to happen anymore. He is a great person making meaningful changes in the treatment of animals. That matters to all of us, and I am so happy about that and share that hope with you.

Yeah, many of the stories made me angry at the owners mistreating their dogs, but placing a paralysed dog on the beach and then waiting for hight tide to kill him is ... I don't even have words. That deserves jail time.

Black is still going strong..bearing in mind the vet didn't give him much of a cgance either..but Takis would not give up..and what a wonderfully happy dog he is..paralysed and a massive facial tumour..but as happy as he could be.. teaches us all a lesson in living your life doesn't it.. i do believe that like Giroula when Black goes over that 🌈 bridge Takis will be inconsolable...

You should see some videos from the communist part of china, some people hit dogs to death and children laugh about it.
Sometimes its scary for some of the owners.
Their pets get hurt and they don't know what to do in this moment of panic and they don't have enough money to cure it. So in a state of panic they make stupid choices like leaving them behind.
As for the others, they are the abusive ones.
I was crying at how you could just see phoenix’s face change as he got that pat. He just looked so tired and longing for some love it was heartbreaking. Oh what I would do to adopt them all

Seeing that Phoenix's aggression became almost a plea with the simple touch of a caress, broke my heart. How much abuse could this poor animal have received? He just wanted some love

I love how he went from being "aggresive" to walking up to everybody, pet me!, pet me! I love you all.
It's because that dog was not aggressive. It was scared. Very few dogs have real aggression. This dog was on the defense. He did not trust humans because humans have harmed him and he was protecting himself... that is, until he was shown that other humans can be trusted :)
I think the thing people don’t want to examine is why people can be abusive. It’s not like we are different from these animals. We can live in bad health, past history of abuse. There’s a bigger issue we need to think about when it comes to these darker parts of society

I once had a dog who was most definitely aggressive. But, in general you're correct.
That kind of thinking can get you hurt or an animal hurt.

False. There are dogs who just are aggressive either through disorder, personality and nature. Dog attacks and dog mauling aren't by dogs that are simply scared. There are numerous accounts of dogs that are domesticated that have severely attacked their owners due to their hidden aggression. Of course the majority of dogs are pretty well mannered in the heart but it's naive and blindly ignorant to believe aggression doesn't exist in animals.
Shiiit... I'm 37 years old man, not easily moved.... But the moment Phoenix put side of his head on that glove, tears filled my eyes instantly... That was the moment the dog gave his heart, captured on camera.... Amazing work Takis.

Phoenix was the one that made me the most emotional, that moment when he was petting him/her and they leaned into his hand, all they wanted was love and affection.

When Phoenix tilted his head on Taki's hand, that was a desperate sign that he wanted and needed love. I can't understand why people harm those poor innocent animals. It just breaks my heart

Sometimes people just honestly don’t know what to do. I’ve been in that situation. She was old and declining. We did our best to encourage her and attempt to offer her the best life possible. I made the decision to put her down as I felt in my heart that she had lived the best life possible at 17 years old. Now you translate that to doggy years and do the math. It’s not always a terrible situation.
If that shit was pulled in America I think you could technically be charged with animal abuse/neglect as they allowed an animal to sit and suffer in excruciatingly painful situation that was only worsened by their negligence

Dude, how he gave up and accepted the hand and was kinda happy that the hand was not hurtful and enjoyed it... I still cry, 30 minutes after I saw the single video of pheonix and this video. This dog must have lived through the biggest emotional nightmare possible. This dog just wanted a little bit of affection, not even much, just a tiny little bit. And a stop of the torture. I am glad Takis made it possible.
Edit: Don't get me wrong, I cried the whole time during that video. I hate to see animals suffering. But Phoenix touched me to the deepest.

Animals are intelligent and can feel vibes better than we can. Takis is very confident and very caring. at hey can feel that and so are less likely to be mindlessly violent.
I mean take phoenix as an example. Definitely could’ve been one of those dogs trying to hurt the other person had he been dealt with someone impatient, scared or controlling.
Takis, you are inspiration. I am Greek American and I have 2 German Shepherds. I love them more than my children. Dogs are priceless. God (Theos) put these special animals for man. They provide man with friendship and unconditional love that is unmatched with other beautiful beings, including MAN! After we die, there will be judgement on people who treated humans AND animals cruelly.

This first dog looks like our dog who passed away several years ago. I missed him so dearly😥🥺😭😢he passed away after my father left us. They were bestfriends. He cried when he saw my father inside the casket and never go away in his side since then. after the burial he left in the cemetery and lay on top of my father's tomb. He loves his bestfriend so much. But now they are together in heaven😢🥺😥♥️
God bless you! I can hear the genuine care in your voice. You are warm, confident and determined to show your love for these animals by doing the HARD work of rehabilitation. You and your shelter staff should be sainted for your work with these poor, tortured creatures.
I pray the people who abandon, torture and abuse these gentle souls will have to face the eternal fires and endless tortures of hell. May they never again know any human kindness. My dad's dog ran away one day (hunting dog, hunting season, plenty small game close to my parents house). After 10 days of looking everywhere my dad had given up... and then he got a call from the vet. Someone had found the dog roaming down the road with his 2 back legs broken after being run over. He was literally crawling in my parents house direction and the people who saw him took him to the vet, where they scanned the chip and called my dad. The dog is ok now, fully healed.
They love us in a way we can't even begin to understand, please never be mean to your dog (or any onther dog, for that matter).
Him saying "I don't think she will make it." But still giving everything he has to try as hard as he can. You really are a miracle, Θεόκλητος.
My precious cat was hit by a car at night and in the morning we found her outside dead 😭 I’m glad that these animals were able to be found and survive 😭 thank you for the hard work so they can find happiness in life ❤️

This video proves theirs no such thing as a “bad dog”. Only bad people that mistreated these beautiful dogs. It’s so heartwarming to see the transformations and understand that these dogs are only looking for love and affection.
It makes me sad to realize a lot of these animals were abandoned because they were old or sick or injured and the people who had them before couldn't be bothered to take care of them...I'm glad there's someone like Takis willing to take a chance on them.
I have tears running down my face. The fact that people think they have a right to judge this man makes me angry! He's given so very much of himself to the animals. He goes without and works himself to the point that I worry about his vhf health. He gives and gives to help animals that would have died without him. Takis is truly an angel, or saint whichever some are comfortable. He could have continued to live a different life but made a choice to make a difference. Takis loves every animal in that shelter. He has done his very best to give them a place to feel safe and cared for. This man has made a true difference in hundreds of lives! How many people can say that? I'm not talking about those people like military, police, firefighters, ect. He a gentleman decided he wanted to make a difference and has! BRAVO!! Anyone that wants to judge him before you speak go walk no less than a month in the man's shoes. Those that say they want to start a shelter, I suggest this very same thing. It's easy to talk the talk! When you have to walk the walk and do the work you may find a new respect for how people like Takis live. ✌💞🙏🐾🌼

Anyone who insults Takis or maligns him in anyway is just jealous, not only because of the love these fur babies have for him, but because we the animal lovers love him too. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that those who disrespect Takis probably just sit on their backsides and do nothing but criticize because obviously they have nothing better to do with their time. To those people I say, get off your lazy backsides and do a little volunteer work to see how rewarding life can be. Takis gave up everything, what have you done to better a little piece of the world?

It is beyond disgusting, and inhumane what's some monsters will do to these beautiful animals, but when they come to your shelter you bring them back to life and give them all the care and love they need, Takis you are an angel on Earth❤
Many years ago i found a kitty in the side of the road and it appeared to be asleep, because i did not want him to get ran over i tried waking him up by talking and he woke up but he started crying and he could not walk, he was hit by a car and i grabbed a box to take him home, my father was very angry that i took an animal from the street home and told me to get rid of it so i just took the bus and left to go to my grandparents where they took him to vet, at first he could only use his claws and crawl but after few months he started being able to walk again. He made a full recovery and he was very friendly and loving, he wanted to always be with us and he would cry if we left him home so we took him everywhere. I really miss my Silvester and those videos bring me tears of joy, really appreciate animal rescues.
The way phoenix leaned into Takis's hand and realized what a gentle touch was for the first time in his life broke my heart and made me cry. Like he was relieved.

I'm so glad to see that area isn't inundated with pitbulls. Takis has such a love for all animals that he would probably take them in thinking any animal can be rehabilitated, but you can't rehabilitate violence bred into the very DNA of a pit.
Takis you deserve heaven. I cried so much with the doggy at the beach that couldn’t walk and with phoenix 😭😭 poor babies all of them deserve a family. How ppl can be so mean?
I have one and he is more love than me 😅 in my own house, he sleeps right next to my mom, he has perfume after every bath, cookies, loves to go to the beach and play around the grass with me all day. I can’t imagine the opposite, all the animals deserve love and caring
