- Rescue of a homeless dog with a broken leg - Howl Of A Dog Rescue Video www.HowlOfADog.org We were driving back home from the veterinary clinic when we spotted an injured dog limping on side of the road. We pulled over and rushed toward him, trying to stop him from going any further into the thick bushes. He was so desperate and the moment he saw us he seemed to have instantly realized we’re there to help him. We took him to the clinic to be examined and have an X-ray performed, but the results received were not good: he had a double fracture - the two bones of his front leg were broken and needed repair surgery. The vet estimated the fracture was at least one week old. Vlad was also severely emaciated, we can only imagine how hard it was for him to survive for so many days without food and with that painful broken leg. He was so hungry when we found him that he desperately grabbed a box of tissues we had in the car and tried to eat them.
He underwent repair surgery and the fractured bones were fixed with metal plates and screws. The procedure was a complicated one, but everything went well and Vlad made a beautiful recovery. Vlad is a young dog, approx. 2 years old, he’s neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. He’s full of joy and finds so much fun in everything he does. He really loves life and longs to find a home where he can live happy and smile for the rest of his life. He is in our care in Romania but can also travel abroad to the USA, Canada and Europe. My daughter was a nanny, next door was a doctor, married with 3 kids and one on the way. The wife admitted they didn't give a sh*t about their dog after kids. My daughter worked right next door for 3 years, driveway between the house's and never saw the dog until the owner was pregnant. The dog was skin and bones, was let out of the basement at 7am just to potty, back in until 530 pm, then out to potty and back in. Slept in a wire crate with a plastic bottom, no blanket, pillow etc. The basement was unfinished, they never went down there, only to let her out. My daughter was so upset, she would feed her thru the fence. Long story, but told the owner if she ever wanted to rehome the dog she would take her..owner said, when can you come get her? I came that evening, took her for a walk around the ritzy neighborhood and she has been right beside me for 3 years now. BEST dog I've ever had in 60 yrs. pit/lab/doberman. This was a doctor and his wife. So crazy. Disgusting. She was afraid to drink water anytime she wanted it since she was only given water twice a day. Even now, she goes out only twice a day, 7 and 530. But she gets to swim and hike, play ball and live out in the country and smell all the smells! And she is a favorite at Lowes. ( we can take our dogs into Lowes here) Everyone loves her! 😚🐕 especially me! 😚😚

Bless you for saving her. I rescued a Pittie who was chained to a tree his whole life. Belonged to my neighbor--stupid people. It was agony watching this. Finally convinced the abusers to let him go. I grabbed him and had a home all set for him. Please everyone save the ones put in your path. If you can't keep them, get them out of danger and make the connections for a foster or forever home. It's like I recognise those eyes. My mum owns a doggy daycare business, and there is this one dog called Bruce who's a golden retriever. He's what I call a 'smiley dog' because if he's happy you would know because he smiles and his whole eyes light up. It goes the same with any personality, and personally, he's my favourite we look after

i rescued a cat 9 years ago and he is very happy and healthy still, he was abandoned by some terrible people but the silver lining is that he found us when he was about 9 months old, when I watch these videos it brings me back to when I first met my cat Snoopy, and I can't wait to get home from work to see him

Vlad survived 7 days of starvation and thirst, whilst writhing in agony every single night in the cold and unforgiving wilderness, forced to endure the pain of a severe injury.
You’d think a dog who’s suffered so much would despise, avoid or even growl at humans. Not even the slightest.
The first sign of human contact trying to approach him, he did not show any hostility or hesitation. He showed all he love he’s able to give.
He didn’t ask or cry for food. He just wanted love. He wanted someone to be with him and spread his love in order to take his mind off the pain.
Let that sink in, ladies and gentlemen. The amazing fortitude of a dog.
I love you, Vlad. Hope your forever home will stay with you until the end of your days.

It breaks my heart when I see people mistreat or abandon animals, especially dogs. Dogs are the most loving, loyal and forgiving living things in the world - they will stay by their masters side, even if they abuse them; which they don't deserve. I can't lie, seeing dogs being treated like shit makes me cry, and makes me want to hunt down the bastards who treat them badly. Thank you for being good people, who do the RIGHT thing. How are you confused about what I said. Obviously, I am not talking about the people in the video, who saved the poor dog. I am referring to the owner who didn't take proper care of the poor dog. Taking proper care of a pet includes adequately feeding, watering, sheltering, loving and supervising - whether on a leash outside or kept inside. Failing to do any of the previously mentioned things is considered "neglect", which is a form of abuse.

I'm happy of the outcome for the dog, but I'm allowed to feel bad that it had to go through hell to get to a good place. You jump to conclusions too fast, without knowing anything about a person; that says a lot about you.

All dogs are born as ‘good people’. Dogs have the pure souls that too many humans lack. Dogs do not lie. They do not cheat. They do not disparage others. They provide unconditional love and joy when they, too, are loved.
It's a pretty sad day when people thumbs down a dog that was starving and injured. This dog is so so so sweet and please think before you dislike an animal sight. All animals are God's creatures and I am sure he made them with joy in his thoughts.

I think some people thumbs down videos because they are upset the dog got hurt...not because they don't like the outcome. They're just looking at it differently.
What a gorgeous boy, you could tell he was friendly right away they way he came to you as soon as he heard you clicking poor boy really wanted some help, so glad he got it!

Dogs don't always naturally know you are trying to help them. There was a german shepherd roaming around our area some years ago, it was in a dreadful state. I tried tied put a lead on it to take it home to look after it, it would not allow me near it. It eventually went to a young girl and she put the lead on it. I took it home, cleaned it up and gave it to the local council dog group. We were told it would be put down if no one claimed it in seven days, I phoned up after six day and they said they were going to put it down the next day, I told them I would take it. It did't seem to like me but gradually came around to being a great friend with our other two dogs, my wife and myself. After about 6 months she became so friendly towards all of us and was great addition to our family.
Dogs are more loving more honest loyal then humans grat big 🙏🙏 for the team howl of a dog
