Very heart touching story. God bless you Mojo and your new Papa. Excitement that puppy felt for that man his new owner was beautiful. Animals can love you so much. I have two of my own. A mama and her puppy a mama and her puppy. Puppy is stubborn and will not mind but when I call myself grandma she listens to me. They are precious and when I tell her to be nice to the mama dog she starts licking her ears and loving on her. They are much more aware of things than we realize.

A friend of mine was driving when he saw a man kicking a dog, my friend parked up and asked the man why he was kicking his dog. The man replied "it's my dog I'll kick it if want to" my mate flattened the guy took his dog home in his car and they had 15yrs together, sometimes violence is the answer 😯

I’m sitting here with my rescue pit Nala. She has a broken tooth and multiple scars on her head. She still flinches when I raise my hand to pet her, but I believe I’m gaining her trust a little more every time I pet her instead of hitting her. We have only had her for about 7 months, but I’m already very attached to her! I understand why people love this breed so much. She is so amazing!
It'll get better, trust me. Dogs learn very quickly who is on their corner and you seem to be doing fantastic already. She's a lucky girl!
She might not get over it. We’ve had our dog for 3.5 years and she still flinches and skitters over nothing. It’s sad that we don’t know what she went through before she came to us!
The same for us. We've had our dog for 2 years. Just try to imagine I couldn't even touch her for the 1st 10 months and then gradually, very gradually slow progress was made..fast forward and yes, wonderful changes have come about but,we're not there yet. I feel so sorry for her because she is still afraid and not fully trusting. It's a long journey and we will never give up on her. We love her to bits. We need to change animal cruelty laws in this country. The fact that people can treat their animals like this and not face any real time in jail makes me sick.

A law will not stop someone with bad intent. Lets enforce the laws on the books. Bad people will do bad things regardless of a 'law'. That is fact. Murder is illegal and people still do it knowing they can face the death penalty. Now then, if they'd ENFORCE the death penalty and get those people gone, peeps may think twice about it. Laws do nothing, enforcement of laws do everything.

Or apathetic owners. I knew I dog where I stayed that was fed and walked by 1 person, but beyond that one individual it didn't like ANYONE ELSE. It died alone and lonely in its cage. The same place got a new puppy and while I was there it lived and died. I helped socialize it and it became just a ordinary pet; because "certain health things happen" with dogs the same people who isolated the 1st one didn't care for the 2nd and it died in pain/neglect.
Mojo’s reaction when he saw his dad at the vet was adorable. He chose his dad not even knowing his dad had already chosen him. Very touching reaction by both. Whoever neglected that baby should be charged.
I totally agree, sad part is they don't get charged. I think whoever, and whatever abuse was given the abuser should receive the same abuse!

My family has rescue pits. Sadly I don't think they will ever be "dog" dogs, but they are the most AMAZING people dogs and any other animal, just not other dogs. Givin they were bait dogs for fighting rings and the scars they are covered in, im not going to force them into it, just taking extra care to ensure nothing happens and it's been years with ZERO issues. Love my gassy potatoes!!!

My mother hates pitbulls because of the few “pitbull attacks” she’s seen on the news and I constantly tell her that I’m disgusting by that side of her. A few years prior I saw a sad looking pitbull at a dog shelter and she had been abused, I wanted to bring her home sooo bad, but my mother refused. That’s the main reason I plan on fostering abused and mistreated pitbulls in the future; they’re sweet dogs and deserve so much love...
My sister rescued a mother and her 6 Pittbull puppies from a evil human being who beat mom and was going to kill her because he thought he could and sell the pups which the pups would have died without mom but my sister took them in she is keeping the mother and a pup I'm adopting 2 pups and the rest have been adopted by great people 2 will become service dogs that's 7 lives saved that's what it is all about people are the real monsters animals are innocent but good people who raise them right will have good dogs and they will repay them with love and loyalty as much as the mother went though she is so sweet and loving

I don't have full memory of it but we found a cat giving birth outside in the rain we decided to let her in and got the whole entire family to help her she was tired but we were making her relaxed and gave her food and she completed the process I'm not sure if we got her free outside or into a shelter but we didn't keep her cus we didn't have enough room.
Hurting animals should be penalized with jail and a strong fine - and I mean STRONG !!

I have a 11 year old Pitty here in Aus that was a rescue after being used as a fight dog.
She took almost a year to recover and get her back to health.
Sue absolutely loves kids and females, she hasn’t got a bad bone in her body, she loves to love and make people happy and that she does 💗🐶💗

I hate anyone that abuses animals. Dogs are such loving creatures that I can’t fathom how anyone would take advantage of them.
The joy in that puppies expression almost made me break down. Why can’t humans just be more grateful. We no longer have the innocence of a child or of a puppy. Our heads have become like that of a bitter and abused dog. If an animal can forgive and love why can’t we?
Those that do..are cowards..that love to pick on something that cannot fight back or speak for themselves.. all animals deserve to be treated with respect and those that are pets with love..

I adopted a pit bull from a shelter and she was so quiet and intimidated, especially when I got my broom out to sweep or got my cane close to her. She cowered in fear when I opened my umbrella in front of her to take a walk in a light rain. And she never, ever barked. It’s obvious that she had been thru some sort of trauma. She would not even eat. I was patient and loving with her. She’d see a dog on tv and let out a very quiet bark. Almost like a whisper and I praised her. I’ve had her for going on 4 months now and she’s been such a joy so far. Once she started eating and going for walks, she was house broken in no time. She has adjusted and this will be her forever home. She even started barking! She is a bit intimidated when I put her harness over her head to walk her, but has learned that the collar is not going to hurt her. I cringe to think of some of the things she may have been through. I think she may have had a collar on that shocked her when she barked, causing her to get a shock in her neck. She is now comfortable with us and loves us as much we love her❤️❤️ Best thing I ever did. They said at the shelter that she was pregnant when they found her, and very young, around a year old. I think they were breeding her for the puppies, for who knows what. She has been spayed, checked over and given a clean bill of health. Gemma is a sweet , sweet girl.

The bond you create when you rescue a dog is like no other. Once my dog finally realized he was in a safe place, and that I would never let anything bad happen to him, he became the most loyal, loving, sweet, gentle, goofy dog I’ve ever met

And all throughout my life I have been raising animals which all are street dogs and cats nothing bought or fancy breeds. So yes I love animals.
@Derek Fisher well to put it fairly for the poor person with people problems, it's trust issues and probably childhood abuse that can cause many solitary acts and negativity towards their own species, it's normal and can be seen from people you may know who are close to giving up on human loyalty.
Just about everyone is single minded on life and being alone, just have to be kind to everyone and everything (it's practically impossible to though)

Glad to see a picture of Mojo as an adult - he turned into a beautiful dog. There is no way you could tell that from the pictures of him at the rescue. But the love that puppy had - when he met his man before he was adopted - OMG that was all I would need to know that was a beautiful dog! That made them a perfectly matched pair!
I have one that was just as bad. The thing about pups this abused is they are not afraid to go all out in a fight...they dont know warning...they can be dangerous because they have suffered so much

I rescued a pitbull which came from a military man first owner was abusive to her.The second owner just recently came back into her life a pstd military . He's dog was really sick he shelled out 8,500.00 in vet and hospital bills for her on the spot!!!! Although he has been here for her on and off he loves that dog!!!! I hope he stays with her till she dies of old age. Military men and women sometimes come back a whole new person with a wide range of problems. If he plans on taking off again i will still be here for her. Thats a promise you make to rescues ...

I went to ASPCA just to look around my mom wasn’t quite sold on getting a dog. We walked passed some of the dogs because they were young and the temperament wouldn’t have been a great mix for our household. Then we walked up to Bailey and she was 13 years old, kinda timid and bald. We learned they had to cut all her hair because she was so matted and had to remove all but 3 teeth due a gum disease. She had been through years of neglect. While ASPCA is telling us her story, she’s right by feet and I’m just rubbing her head. Every time I stop she looked up at me as if asking why did I stop. My mom and I knew bailey was the one. Initially she was scared in her new home and trying to figure out if we could be trusted but she soon got comfortable. We feel in love with her, she had a bed in EVERY room, she learned how to knock on doors to be let in 😂, we went on road trips. Bailey and I shared a room and I would have the door cracked and she would just push the door open and come lay down like she owned the place. Overall she was spoiled with well deserved love. She definitely became my best friend and my roll-dog (if I was in the car so was she). We had her for 2 years before her old age caught up to her. I can only hope her last 2 years were enough to offset the impact of neglect she endured 💜💜💜 I loved My Bailey Baby

She is probably laying down nice and comfy and her.own massive king sized bed. I bet she had the greatest 2 years of her life with you. She would probably want u to move on even tho she cant really talk to u. It is heart breaking when ur pet. More like family dies. Atleast bailey can live forever chewing bones on her own bed.

Love seeing people do stuff for the breed. Mine wasn’t “abused” per say, the vet thinks she might have been neglected in the kennel or take away from her mom too soon. Either way through love and respect, I have the best friend I could ever ask for. She will BARELY listen to anyone but me. Even then only my close family.
We have a rescued pit bull who was a fighting dog. She is the light of our life and everyone loves her. Every dog just needs love to thrive.

My husband rescued our pitbull. He went to the shelter here in our area walked into a room he wasn’t supposed to be in and found Dozer. He was on doggy death row. They told him he couldn’t take him he was going to be put to sleep. He told them he wasn’t leaving till he was his. And bam 6 yrs later he’s my spoiled little dude.😊

I saw my furbaby in a cart at Home Depot paint department. Skinny and slashes. The people said he was vicious (all 6 pounds of him). I yelled at them to give me that gd dog! They did. As we continued shopping, employees and customers showered us with attention and gave him snacks. Six years later he is pegged to me and has a gray beard. He was so fearful at first I had to show him my hand slowly before petting. Now he is full of pride on our walks. Rescue a dog, they rescue you back.

Because what I hear is that even though Joey is clearly a good person he will burn in a fiery hell for all eternity if he does not believe in a god.
