My kit comes in on Saturday. Pretty excited to see it. lol. I build motorized bikes, I want a hybrid. When I told my GF, she wants a hybrid now too. I will be buying another kit very soon.

@@MFourtySeven Depends on your voltage and wattage. The 36v 1000w do about 15-18 mph. They are good for a tame rider just cruising along.

@@choupi7316 I can use both gas and electric at the same time, while pedaling. I can also just pedal like a normal bike, no engine resistant, feels like a heavy bicycle ( has a battery, gas and electric). Electric motor allows me to barrel up hills without having to downshift. Having fun cruising I can get about 18 miles with the battery I have, it was free, idk the size. A buddy of mine made it. I can also make the electric motor the starter instead of pedaling to fire up the gas engine. That is one of the main reasons I bought this kit. I ended up buying three more. They aren't speed racers, but they are tough little motors. The people using them are rough on 'em. They are standing up. Great little kit though, I recommend these to anyone who wants the comfort of an ebike, without having to shell out thousands of dollars for a bike you don't like in the end. You can put this on almost any bike, and any bike if you are handy with tools.

I have this kit, it is good and powerful enough but I've had some issues with motor alignment, the chain had came off a few times. The bolts are tight holding the motor but any sort of bump in the road is enough to move it and put it out of alignment which then makes the chain come off.
I have been using this 450 watt motor for 6 months, i can't kill it and i've tried. Summer through logging trails and now fall and winter in Canada. I turned the bike upside down to adjust my spokes on the rear wheel and water poured out of it, i tested it after getting caught in a rain/snowstorm and it worked fine, FULL OF WATER! i just didn't know it.
I have one recommendation, take the outer case cover screws out, hold it in place while you do and turn it so the wires come out of the bottom, it allows for drainage.
Tomorrow the temp drops to -10 c and you can see the problem with a motor full of water.
Make sure you hold the case cover in place while removing the screws, i can not stress that enough. There is a spring that will try to push it off.

If you do take it off too far and spring loaded brushes pop out put a small small drop of crazy glue on them and hold each one in until stuck, put the plate back on and tap on the case, they will release.

This is amazing kit. Wery easy to instal, and work great. Whit full battery gives good power and speed. I recomend li-ion battery. I'v bought liitokala 36v battery pack.

Really.. how did u align the chain from the rear gear to the motor? It's like 2.5 inches off center. .

So 2yrs later... how has worked?
Motor mount fits in a certain position but in that position the chain is too long. If I tighten the chain then the mount doesn't fit on frame and no matter where I mount it, the chain always falls off. any suggestions?
Could you do a video on how to install the different plugs on the controller, since the marking are all in Chinese

Am I missing something where has the back disc break gone, what has replaced it?
It hasn't been replaced. You have to brake with your front brake, but what I've done is I've put the rear brake disc instead of the front disc. It works nicely.
@@gerardaguilaralvarez1912 your reply doesn't make any sense. you no longer have a brake for both wheels, and your modified bike is dangerous.
@@gerardaguilaralvarez1912 did you just transfer the rear disc brakes to your front wheel? So you still have one brake for the bike, instead of two standard brakes, one in front and one in the rear wheel...
This is for rim brake bikes not disk brake ones theres a different kit for bikes with disk brakes that leaves the disk but uses the bolt holes to mount the sprocket aswell
I have a problem with the cable do you need to charge the battery first?
What volt battery and make of battery did you use ?
A good way to find out what battery you need is to look at the manufacturer's recommendation. I suggest looking for the kit online. They often show it in the recommended to buy with section below it. It's not easy to search in Amazon but if you type the specifications into the search engine you may find it quicker.
I hope the motor plate will fit with the Frame of my bike.

Probably 12 to 15 mph that's why everybody went to a brushless hub motor

Wheres your rear brake though, i guess you had to remove your rear disc brakes for it to fit?
I just got this kit and I'm not impressed at all the bolts strip out easy. I had to take sprocket off and had to cut bolts off. The then motor bracket has the gears way outta alignment, so gonna have to fab a new bracket. Would not recommend this for anyone !!

of course. yes. be careful the motor can suffer. the specs will tell you. if the motor is happy between 10v and 30v ... don't give it 36v... also the controller needs to be adecuate.

@@ump1893 gracias por responder Amigo, ok, primero tengo invertida la polaridad, en la linea Roja del motor la conecte a tierra y la linea Negra del motor la conecte a corriente , lo hice haci porque conectandola normalmente el giro de la rueda de la bicicleta es hacia atrás y por eso inverti la polarida para que el giro de la rueda fuese hacia adelante, segundo la habia conectado a 24v pero es lenta , ahora la conecte a 36v y es mas rapida pero se calienta demasiado. Que con 24v se calentaba pero no tanto, no tengo conectado algun velocímetro, por lo tal no se que velocudad alcanza, gracias por tu respuesta, Bendiciones

Hey i ordered mine hooked it up correctly and now it rolls backwards when turned on is there a way i can fix it is there wires in the motor i can switch
you have negative and positive confused dc accepts direct current its turning the way its wired to turn so just swap around
same thing will happen if you connect atv battery in reverse the starter motor will spin the wrong way
Reverse the motor wires
Its not hard to adjust riding backwards it only takes a couple crashes then its all good

you'd need to buy a battery separately, you can find them on alibaba or ebay, search for 24v or 36v lithium battery depending on the kits voltage, most will come with a charger, you'll need to rely on the front brake for braking or use a rim break on the rear wheel
This does not fit a bike with 700 c tire. It just won’t line up.

There is a freewheel, which means when the wheel is rotating, the motor and pedals aren't. So you need the motor to rotate when you want to recharge, so it is not possible with this kit

What do people buy for battery? I️ want to get 3x 12 volts 10 amp hour. Not sure if I️ then run them parallel or in series? Has anyone on here purchase this?
I just bought the kit but i ordered the one for disc brakes, i have regular brakes so be careful which one you get, i can fabricate up something to get the rear sprocket to fit.
As for batteries i'm ordering 2 X 12 volt 22 amp hour Sla (sealed lead acid) batteries, wired in series that will give me 24 volts, 22 amp hours, 528 watts of power for a 450 watt motor (volts X amps = watts), your battery wattage should be a close match to your motor wattage. they are not very big or heavy batteries either.
Kit cost me $230 Canadian and the batteries are $140 for the pair, ordered both off Amazon
If you wire in series you increase the volts, if you wire parallel you increase the amp hours

Paul Coady I️ just sent mine back. The throttle cable didn’t work. The motor mount wasn’t comfortable for any of my bike. I️ have 3. It cost 25 to import. 50 to send back. Not happy with this product at all. The motor mount was the problem not the sprocket mount.

Wired it all up and it doesn't deliver power to the motor. Attempted to check continuity at accelerator control and control module, both to no avail. Powered motor directly and it spun well... backwards. Reconnected control module with reversed poles and produced a major arc. Trash. Returning (to Amazon).
