Toggle drifting for the game really adds a whole new flavor to the races.
I played through the whole career mode with this mod, it was a hell of fun

I love how with grip physics you have to be precise to not overshoot the corner, look for overtake opportunities and deal with the oversteer for muscles...
And with drift physics you just gO BRRRR 200 KM/H MID CORNER LET'S GOOOOOO
That's a shame point for Black Box for making two different physics

Not really, you just keep the momentum and speed while drifting, as opposed to the normal driving used in the game where you have to slow down on corners.
Just look at the speedo, when car goes from a corner. This is wild

its funny how doing the opposite of what real drifting does to a car motion, made for the most enjoyable drifting in any NFS game, cool video man.
this is a perfect example of, it doesn't matter what car you have or how tuned it is, only thing that matters is how good driver you are

@@clydewarrior2255 technically it’s a utility mod with drift physics as an extra feature, the feature is already in the game and he mod just allows you to turn it on anytime, but yeah it’s a mod.
That is really situational, you do realize that a better driver still greatly benefits from a better car, because there are certain races you cannot win with skill alone. Same with anything, sure you can be a good athlete as a skinny twig, but if you build on muscle you will have a lot better performance. One day you might still find a driver with the same amount of skill, but if he has a better car that hardly matters, he’ll win

@@ArturchikkkThe best drift physics in the whole franchise are ProStreet's. Semi-realistic so it is somewhat believable while being fun. Unless you use that one Dodge Viper, it is glued to the asfalt

Its kinda interesting why the drift course drift physics are alittle different to the canyon drift physics and its because the canyon uses a combo multiplier that adds up on how fast and how long you hold a drift while in thw drift course it only adds up when you turn from another corner so they made the acceleration in the canyon powerful enough to reach how fast you enter a corner so that the combo multiplier can be consistent and oh yeah they also made oversteering more slower to make an earlier drift entry to grind more combo multiplier points but it gets harder to control when you are going too fast like 165mph or I think 270km/h and I almost forgot about the drift course but its pretty much the same but with weaker acceleration and more sensitive oversteer. 3rjc jrc kt3ltl3g tv

just when I thought drift in this game couldn't be more broken
I recently watched some NFS Rivals videos and for whatever reason, the was Rivals graphics look is the way I thought NFS Carbon looked like. In my mind the game looked more realistic than how it looks now looking it at again. But still looks very decent and I liked Carbon for its music and energy. Too bad it was super quick and short campaign.

I'd agree with your point but just one correction: Darius was the toughest boss in the game, most can't beat him on first try but other bosses are relatively easy..And I'm talking about the last boss in the game, ofc..I know you've played and beat the game but he was the toughest, to everyone I'd say. I was able to beat other bosses with stock cars, without even driving that good but Darius, it's toughest among them

I could not defeat Darius even with a fully upgraded Mustang Eleanor 😆 so I had to buy a Ford GT.

How do you drift on Carbon? I played it on PS3 and I never figured out how to when outside the drift races

Game pysichs look great and a weight of a car are insane at that time.
Darius should've offered worser ones than those like peel p50, toyota poopra, etc.
I started with nfs 5: porshe, then I went from Hot Pursuit 2. UG,UG2, MW, all the way to Carbon. i played Shift, Shit2, MW 2012, Run,Rivals, Payback, 2015, Heat and I ended there. But as much I love UG2 and MW... nothing compares to the feeling of these Canyon duels. Holy trinity of nfs game are Most Wanted, Underground and Carbon. It feels like a trilogy to me. (I know that Carbon is like a Sequel to MW, bot for me UG2 is like a prequel)
That's the thing with Canyon runs. Horsepower became little relevant, it boils down to the driver's skill and the car's handling ability.
Tell that to my Corvette Z06 just gaping these opponents when we get to anything that resembles a straight

This is not surprising since the game depends on the level of the player’s car. Simply put, bot cars will always have similar characteristics to your car, regardless of model and level.
Found on a Nissan 240 (technically first level), with which I completed the entire game and accumulated 1,000,000 credits, but as it turned out it works on all cars.
Imagine how surprised I was when my 240 managed to catch up with the last rivals and outpace the Ford GT, Toyota Supra, Lamborgini Galardo

That Alfa Romeo obviously sucks in factory form, but that just makes the win so much more of a burn on the opponent. I always had to upgrade the Camaro suspension and power train because I like those old cars like that. Interesting that it didn't need that though.
