NFS Carbon Why Muscle Is The Best Class - Overtaking All Bosses

- Old game, old man. Never really tried muscle cars as a dedicated playthrough and I suppose I was missing out. The canyon duels which used to be terrifying as a kid were almost comically easy this time around with muscle cars.
Darius would keep running me off the cliff by ramming me 300 km/h as I was braking for turn 2 but I showed that tosser a little bit of his own tactics and we eventually reached an understanding.
If you liked the video, why not hit that ''Like'' button, or "Dislike" if you hated it, and let me know what you think in the comments below. Constructive criticism is welcome.
Thanks everyone for the positive feedback! I’m trying to get the Exotics video out which I have been promising but meanwhile, feel free to check out my other video on doing the same thing with Tuners.
After a ”small” wait, I finally got the Exotics video out. Check it out here:

3:11 pff good one man, that never gets old
Had I have known, I would’ve chosen the starting Muscle car (especially for the rock soundtrack).
every corner turned muscle can still keep that speed really good
Well done. I usually just use a Tuner (RX8 & 7) to beat Kenji, Wolf, and Angie, and when I reach Darius' territory I switch to a Tier 3 Muscle with high acceleration like a Corvette.
i remember beating darius as a 7 year old
my 7 year old brain picked a corvette
painted it black
gave it a cool spoiler
ofc gave it a bodykit
and basically spammed nitrous
and i beat the 1st two races
i didn't even use the speedbreaker since i was like "fuck that shit bro!!! i hate slowing down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111"
and i somehow got used to the grip so darius with ease
like dodge viper (its better than corvette)
I did just that trying to get the 1 million achievement, I didn't get any of the boss cars since it was a game over save, i had to use infinite nos but once i beat Darius's crew, i got the mil so i tarnished him with a viper, didn't need to use the nos cheat any more
@@Blaza303 you can get 1 million with a stock 240sx
Its sad how the other 2 classes drop off. Idk about y'all, but i needed cheats to beat my tuner profile
Wolf: Pfft, like that will last
Also Wolf: Loses the race
He literally looks like he’s about to cry when you pass him.
@@MarkVinewood Actually true 😂
"i let you win"
I let you win.
- Wolf
Damn, nice sportsmanship from him
It in fact, did last.
In NFS Carbon they gave each class a special area they excelled at.
Muscle=Acceleration
Tuner= Handling
Exotic= Top speed
Funnily enough Muscles are also extremly fast on the highway
if you tune any muscle towards horsepower instead of acceleration then you get absurd gear ratios, but even more power funnily enough. I was able to make the dodge viper hit 293mph and couldn't get past 260 in any exotic car, no matter what tune build I tried.
kinda like real life I guess
Juat by Corrvet, u have everything in 1 lmao
Funny enough fastest street car in the world is a muscle car
I remember using the Viper to Defeat Darius the first time. I overtook him easy, and thought how pathetic a boss he is. I later found this was the magic of muscle as I struggled to beat him using a Skyline in the next playthrough
I'd even say anything but muscles are a bit underpowered.
Agreed, for tuners I had to wait for that long left curve at around 60-70% of the race and overtake Darius from the outside with an Evo IX. For exotics I usually had to do both runs. I wasn't struggling but it wasn't easy either. I think I get down to almost 1k points by the end of the second run
I used the Corvette. ez win lmao
Muscles are so overpowered that even with Angie's challenger, it's a total push-over
i used the evo and beat him first time lol
I must admit that I'm more a tuner guy
But the muscles are pretty good, I really like the Viper in this game.
Tuners are really nice as well. I like them too and tbh, they are perhaps more reliable than Muscles. I made on video on Tuners as well ;)
Me too man cuz i like a good way to drive but i still have a crush on the muscles
Handles like a train tho
But its still worth it
Me too, i love the fact that i can just tap brakes once or relese the acelerator and i can make any turn without slowing down
Me too, my most favorite tuner car in this game is Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution because of how easy that car to take sharp corners. (I mean, it's tuner car so it's expected. But this car feels much better than any tuner cars.)
I like using muscle cars in Carbon because they actually make the game more challenging, the fact that the cars have absurd oversteer just adds to the fun for me.
Fine tune them and u have a monster tbh
It's understeer they have. You can easily fix that with proper oversteer tuning
@@AVENGERSMAN. all you need is proper slip angle driving technique
The oversteer was way too much for me to be able to handle
Yes!
3:33 the rubber-banding was punching the air at this point 🤣🤣🤣🤣
that collision is disgusting omg 🤢
@@bochok5694 yeah, the rubberbanding in canyon duel is ridiculous, especially when you overtake the car in front of you.
I’ve tried leaving him space into the second corner and he literally crashes into you so hard that I have flown off the track through the barriers.
Muscles are so good in Carbon it's almost criminal... Unless its a Monaro.
Angies first race basically the only difficult part of the game for a muscle car.
Muscle cars are great but are probably the hardest to drive.
My favorite car is Probably the Nissan sx240. It was only on the PC and it was easy to win all the T2 bosses with it even i am quite sure it was T1
@@P_K97 yea t1 car
@@P_K97 which is why i like muscle... they are hard to drive, the opposite of tuners for kids
I used once the jaguar and i felt like god against all t1 races
For me Nissan sx is worst tier 3 car i win engine game with it …
Back when I was a kid, I thought exotics were the ones to get because of the stats and because I'm a fan. In the end I struggled with the tier 3 bosses while using the SLR (my favorite) and ended up finishing the game in a Viper with little effort.
Literally the same here
The viper and corvette are just simply overpowered
As a kid after playing most wanted with ming's Gallardo I thought it was the best and bought it in carbon. Struggled against Darius with it. Later found out the tuners and muscles were cheaper and better
Don't use Exotics while racing Darius. That will give you a hard time of beating him and his god damn Audi. Same goes to the M3 GTR.
Muscles and Tuners are the only option here when racing against him.
i just completed the game with my SLR.... i won in canyon by just 700 points 😅. Tune any car's suspension to understeer(which actually makes it oversteer as its glitched) and u can handle corners for muscles and exotics very easily
I love how this game and Most wanted 2005 keeps some sort of grounding to basic physics concepts like understeer and oversteer despite being arcade. Also, *Corvette God tier car in Carbon*
Still better physics than Forza 5
Viper and Vette are OP AF and I abused them lol
Though the stats don't say it but I feel like the viper just feels way faster with its acceleration and top speed than the corvette, corvette has better control but the viper is just borderline overpowered
3:08 darius rubberbanding in the minimap
Just casually going 500 km/h
Where he went through is the shortcut that you can also take yourself
Darius: No one can touch me
*Proceeds to not only touch him but block his way to re-take the lead*
What i loved about Muscle in NFS Carbon is their ability to get the nose pointed through a corner no matter what. They rotate better than a Tuner, and out handle them easy if you can manage the oversteer.
Just like in real life; if you know how to control it
Yes you transfer the weight of car to front slice the apex and you have control again
Lol, it's not about manage the handling, but how much speed muscle cars will lose while controling. You will lose like 120% of all your speed you gain on straight lines 😂😂
Oversteer is slow. The muscles gain all their time on the straights
The Dodge Viper and Chevy Corvette C6 Z06 in this game are straight up monsters on power those cars want to go places
Exactly I always got the corvette but they both are beast frfr
go try mercedes and talk later :)
@@GarroshHellscream-r9lMercedes is shit, I tired it
Same here, what makes them overpowered as well is how quick they reach their top speed on the highway, most of the exotics need the whole highway to get near 250-270ish while the viper and Vette get to 245-250 in like half the highway
I seriously underestimated muscle cars in this game as a kid.
Quick tip: If you want a quick and clean overtake on Darius on the first turn, you can just restart the race. For some reasons both cars will spawn a lot further from the first turn when you restart the race. Viper has the best acceleration in the game and it's the easiest car to do this with but even the Corvette has enough acceleration to do it cleanly.
Played the game for so many years…at the end managed to beat all the bosses including Darious with Camaro SS 🙂
My Brodha
Imagine trying to run a 4 door charger off the road in an RX-7 💀
Can't get this sedan!
Muscles are objectively better due to how limited flat-out straights are in Carbon races, whether its city races or canyon runs. Constant winding roads make better acceleration better.
There are very few instances you'll ever be able to get an Exotic to top speed, and speedbreaker makes the Tuners' handling advantage pretty redundant with the proper tuning.
dude, I get your point, but even then, the muscles take the top speed as well. if you tune the viper or corvette towards top speed and horsepower as a pose to acceleration, then weirdly, those cars get even better acceleration and max out at 293mph for the viper and 288mph for the corvette. Haven't ever been able to get an exotic car past 260.
@@Kirmani-man that’s becose of simple mechanics of car
Short shift point and acceleration makes you shift more and not using all the power u have only shifting from 5 to 2 and from 2 to 4
Second
Even tuner is better with engine tuned on horsepower and acceleration transmission
Big block big responsibility you’ll get it
And for exotics like carrera who’s top speed is 500 km /h you have to upgrade car trq just a little due to long gears and lower acc
Means that exotic are lacking trq and big block muscle are lack of top speed like .. u just gotta think what u need to have better acceleration idk if I am good at English I hope u understand me understanding mechanics of game lmaoo
All exotics except the Carrera and Cayman feel underwhelming.
@@satyakisil4289 lol Cayman is fastest tier 2
I think do becose i didnt test
Slick driving, my man. Especially that Tier 1 Camaro, so smooth and precise.
I was using controller so that helps with modulating inputs. But thanks!
@@MarkVinewood when i moved to play with controller it felt so weird in the first time idk how to maximize the use of analog triggers on the controller
When I was a kid I've always used Camaro for 90% of races until I had to switch to Vette/Viper. They were OP.
Clarkson:
-Tuned: Well the handling is very good
-Exotics: This is incredible, the balance is glorious gloooriuuuss
-Muscle: POWAAAAAAA
MO POWA BABEH!
This comment of yours about Jeremy Clarkson reminds me of Gordon Ramsay while criticizing the food on MasterChef lmfao
Tonight I restarted a new career. Finished Tuner now trying Muscle. On the Wii with motion controls
Cool! I am still thinking about a full exotic career as I haven't tried that yet. But I'll have to find the time first 😅
Believe it or not this is why I love the Corvette and the Viper in real life. They were my childhood heros because they were made like absolute rockets in a bunch of nfs games.
I miss this game. Spent 4 hours in a police chase with Paul's 2F2F skyline. Had it set to drift build and just ripped around everything. 4 hours of dodging spike strips..
Wow, u are legend bro 🤘
imagine someone beating darius with a monaro
That would be insane
Bet.
I did that … without touching him I overtake on that downhill aftet chicane
And I did that in Camaro ss max upgrade but I didn’t pass him
I did it with Subaru 350 z shelby but I didn’t ram him on first corner
The downhill after chicane is his weak point you just got to be precise like dude with controller …I did that on 20 yo laptop with win7 lmaooo
Game on.
@@ralphlorenzperolino3054 If we are strictly talking about beating Darius (leaving out the other 4 crew members), then I have done it with literally every car in the game. From Mazdaspeed 3 to Monaro to CLK500. Yeah took like 2 months to try and try again on each car. Sometimes I just fell short by very little and sometimes won by very slim margins. The toughest was CLK500 though. No handling as well as no accleration whatsoever. So top speed doesn't even matter.
The Corvette AI were so OP in this game
it is almost impossible to catch a Corvette on the track if you do not have a similar car
The fully upgraded viper in this game is insane. Like it accelerates so fast the first two gears are non existent
I use tuners, I like the difficulty that they add, they lack the acceleration, but I love using tuners. I start with the rx-8, then get kenji's rx-7, then when I get to Silverton I buy the 350Z, and then later on before Darius I get the Evo 9. One of the best cars in the game.
Nice vid man. I always thought that tiers were more a matter of skills rather than a preference for a style. In my younger years I got to a point in which I was capable of getting the best of every car in the game, and let me say that the best race times a tuner or an exotic could get were many seconds behind a lower tier muscle
what I'm trying to say is that any Tier 1 muscle could outperform any tier 2 tuner or exotic; any Tier 2 muscle would do the same to a tier 3 tuner of exotic; and tier 3 muscles were just imposible to beat in race time
I think that it was a matter of skills because when you drove a tuner you did not event need to brake nor take the best line in corners.
Exotics demanded you to know breaking points and if you followed the best line you wouldn't crash against walls
but muscles demanded you to know you breaking points, to find the best line and even to control the slides of the tail that were proportional to the power of the car. If you failed to do all of these things right the car just wouldn't respond
cheers from Argentina!
There’s definitely strong rubberbanding in this game so yeah, it is possible to be competitive in higher tier races with lower tier cars 👍
I usually use the Evo in order to defeat Darius. I'm not of a muscle car user in Carbon, but the fact that you overtook Darius at the first turn on his canyon race was so fucking unreal.
Why Viper is the best car in the game
I hate Muscle cars, they’re all over the place & too drifty. I easily won canyon & normal races with exotics or high end tuners. But to each their own, I’m sure you’re really amazing with muscle cars, but I don’t have the patience for them
( with exception to the Dodge Viper )
Mucle cars are fine. The camaro can handle good while the charger handles like a Container ship. Omce that thing slides in ome direction it doesn't want to come back.
I love how on the Kenji and Wolf first runs you did not use the best muscle car in tier 2. That is a creative way to prove it lol
Hehe, I just picked what I liked 😅 Apart from Camaro which was just a free car with no mods
The viper is so OP in this game, i maxed my top end out at 247 with it.
the viper goes 310 mph
@@ManLikeEddy Is that with the maxed out engine?
@@Jimblethorp do you have discord? i'll stream the game to you
@@ManLikeEddy really shocked how few people know that the viper and corvette are by far the fastest cars in this game and can max out above 290mph
@@Kirmani-man i mean thats unrealistic but these engines can definitely do those speeds
We're only limited by tires you know
I usually just tuner main this game every time cuz the map is so tight n twisty that it feels like your doing something wrong if you don't pick tuners, exotics turn like a boat that's been shipwrecked and muscles turn like some other boat related analogy idk that's just me but kudos to those that manage to beat this game with something other than a skyline. (which is what I always use for the last race)
The exotics have such bad handling I was shocked when I first bought the murcielago. The cars feel like they weigh 5 tons despite the handling bar being high
@@defnotatroll Murceilago has bad handling for an exotic. The Carrera GT and Ford GT are better.
Corvette and Dodgr Viper have the best acceleration in the game, thats why i have them in Darius territory unlike in the first three with tuners/exotic
Guess you haven't tried Mitsubishi Lancer or Nissan Skyline against Darius. They literally outspeed heavily all the bosses of the final race 😂😂
Yep. I played with Camaro until I reach Darius and then I would always switch to Vette/Viper
1:38 is the best feeling i think, I havent played this game since I was about 8 maybe, I lost the disc but coming out of a high stress moment and winning and then the epic music just starting and it putting you in free roam, great feeling.
I always used an Evo for Darius because there was a spot a fast long left handers that if taken correctly, you could pass him on the outside because the tires could hold the corner
Because of your video, i try to beat this game with only Muscle cars but failed in the process
Camaro SS can put a fight against all of the 3 bosses. But when you in Silverstone (Darius' territory), its kinda hard to use Camaro SS. I want to buy new car but that 1M Cash Reward Card really make me think twice. I wanna to use Angie's Charger but can't handle it's slippery playstyle. Sure you absolutely win against Darius with Viper/Z06 but man reach Darius when keep your cash to 1M is hard
Maybe get all the pink slip of RX7 and DB9 then sell them out is the option. After you reach 1M Cash and get those Reward Card, you absolutely on good position
nfs carbon has one of the most unbalanced classed compare to nfs mw 2005
I like how the game explains the car classes at the beginning of the game:
Muscle cars are very great for straight-line acceleration to get ahead of the competition.
Tuner cars are very grippy and can be used to an advantage when you need to make quick turns while your opponents end up in the wall
Exotic cars I'm not sure how they're explained, but I think it had to do something about high-end performance and utilizing racing techniques to win against the competition?
Exotics are basically worthless
For me:
-Muscle cars: fast at straight line but difficult to control
-Tuner cars: easy to drive but slow at straight line.
-Exotic: high flexibilty but need demand of high driving skill (high knowledge of braking point and racing line) due to prone to understeer.
Best class indeed. Getting angie's charger makes tier 2 races a walk in the park
I absolutely hate Angie’s Charger myself 😅 Made a video about overtaking the bosses in their own cars and Angie was a pain in the @ss
Yeah , the handling is shit but if you get a good hang of it , you are good to go.
@@prajwaldsouza4559 tuners handling for me it's painful
@@M4V3R1CK_13 indeed.
@@M4V3R1CK_13 Tuners are not bad lmao. The Evo and Skyline are the best Tuner cars while racing against Darius.
The dodge charger off the second boss its really powerful and for sure if you really go for acceleration. That its really a beast tuned right! Its insane!
hey! I've known this trick for a long time 🔥👍❤️
The muscle cars despite of their hard handling, they truly shined only in this NFS sadly. After NFS Carbon Black Box made them to suck even till The Run. They made the "Tuner" or "Sports" class as they classify them being so op like 1 fucking MK1 Golf being better than Corvette or the cars in the Supercar class like in the high end Tier 5/6. Exotics are ok there, despite the only great one being the Lotus Exige 260 Cup. And the only greatest muscle car there is the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe - others because of stupid long gear ratios and bad handling, they are really mediocre.
I don't have too much exposure to newer NFS-s. I mean I played Pro Street, Undercover, Shift 2 and also The Run for one playthrough but then at some point it got too arcade-y for my tastes. Oh yeah and I quite found myself enjoying the Most Wanted 2 which many people did not like at all.
the run's tier system is just a joke
I played The Run years ago when it came out. I don’t remember much other than that I didn’t enjoy the driving physics but the scenery and cinematics were very nice in that game.
@@barracuda8996 NFS UC's Tier was even a better joke.
@@HeroManNick132 yeah definitely
the real reason is because the muscle cars in carbon have the best songs bound to them
I must know the setup for these cars. Typically, when I use muscles cars, they are jumpy and all over the place and overall hard to control.
I don’t remember the exact settings for each car but basically a grip tune on the tires and tuning for understeer if it is uncontrollably drifty.
suspention and tires are bugged AF. Use stock. Tuned brakes are hard to adapt too. You can tune the rest as you want
@@MarkVinewood no no the setups are flipped
oversteer is in fact understeer and understeer is oversteer
Tuner: For Amateurs Drivers
Exotic: For learning drivers
Muscle: for Skilled drivers(it is rly bad handing , newbies cant handle it)
and I always tried all classes and I liked the classes, but I liked the class of foreign cars more when you choose Alfa Romeo .
You can play the whole game on a 1967 camaro ss and on a Nissan 250sx. so yes, masalcars are also good in their own way. All classes are good in their own way.
Wolf overtaken: "Yeah, like that'll last."
*It did, indeed, last.*
I don't know how people define Viper as a muscle car. It is closer tp a sportscar. Muscle cars are suppose to be big, loud and bright colored ships on the road, with huge tires. The Viper isn't really huge, or even loud compared to actual muscle cars
I agree, it should be Exotic like the Ford GT and the Corvette z06, I guess they put it in that category, to fill the Muscle car gap.
I thought the same then realized it’s raw power is more like muscle cars
Ah the Viper's nuclear acceleration, such bliss.
Please bring more content with the Dodge Viper, because it is my favorite car 😍💛
Muscle the most easiest way to beat Carbon. Camaro can even own Darius what more if you bring a fully tuned Corvette. The first turn is his last mile.
However, in the mountain road race, without nitrogen acceleration and slow motion, the EVO9 has the fastest lap time except for the BOOS Audi.
Well, i prefer to use a tuner because they steer good and, well... speed isnt my strong point
Me too!
Reasons i used mucle... Love the 67 camaro and it can drift nicely!
I don't like muscle cars. It makes game too easy. I completed the game in two days. But i love corvette, probably the best car. Speed, hanging - its perfect
Definitely the fastest class of the 3 but also takes the most skill cause just like IRL they'll mess you up if you don't know what you're doing especially the Viper
Yes! Little Japan. Look at those huge American MUSCLES!
The lambo (not Gallardo the other one) is in my eyes the best car because you can tweak the cars top speed all the way to 450km and the funny thing is because it's so fast it also has a redicules acceleration 😂
All exotics are like this, they have a balance between the three points. So the acceleration is medium, handling medium, top speed medium
@@TITANa.k.a.RADIATION173 what do you mean by that? Explain further please
@@errishafizjaha8221 Okay then. Exotics are the best class... Why?
1: We all know that all stats are important, top speed, acceleration and handling.
2: Obviously exotics was made for racing.
3: The classes are about to be:
Muscle cars: Best acceleration, medium top speed, worst handling
Tuners: Best handling, medium acceleration, bad top speed
Exotics: Mediun handling, medium acceleration, medium top speed.
Exotics have a balance between the three points, and that means they can outspeed other cars everytime. While tuner can't gain speed, and muscles only lose speed, exotics keeps the balance, and they can gain speed and mantain it perfectly
Edited: Handling is the most important point, even we knowing all points are important tho
I mean i know because when you get to the tier 3 cars shit gets real for example I never use a tier 2 car (except for boss cars) because I got so used of taking the muscle car path to get more money for that 1 Million dollars or euros task you need to do that's why I always pick muscle at the start get Angie's car and then when I'm almost finished with tier 3 and get my 1 mil then I buy a tier 3 car (usually when I want to win fast i get exotic) and use the ....what do you call them i forgot i get a crew member like nikkie (is that how you spell her name?😅) Or that other dude from wolf's crew and just drive behind them and get to 450kmh with no problem so um yeah.....also with the lambo (again not the Gallardo the other one) its just as easy to overtake Darius with that car as it is to overtake him with a Corvette...at least in my eyes
@@errishafizjaha8221 Yeah i see. But the easiest cars to overtake darius are the tuners, although the exotics are the fastest, cause there are many corners on the canyon. Try overtaking him with mitsubishi lancer or skyline
I remember beating Darius in a V6 Clio, absurd decision I made when I was a kid.
The vehicle class allocation was so laughable in this game. You had what was essentially the same car in 3 different classes in the form of the 300C SRT-8, Charger SRT-8, and Challenger Concept. Then there was the Infiniti G35 which was in the same performance tier as the Carrera GT and had a better handling stat than a freaking Z06. Then you also had a Hemi Cuda inexplicably competing with Vipers and Corvettes, and it has better acceleration than a Carrera GT supposedly.
Lol yeah. Still a lot of fun though
Can I just say something? That is just pure rubbish for me :) First of all, you start carrier and as a first opponent you choose exotic district, just to get Colin as your second wingman. Then you get out of career, get to medal races and play checkpoint races, where you drive second cars of your opponents in later game - Evo, Murcielago and I think it was new Challenger? Or new Charger? Doesn't matter. If you get all medals, you unlock Nissan 240SX. And with that car you just trash all over your opponents. Matter of facts - you can drive this car against tier 3 with all of those Murcielagos, Carrera GTs...just make sure you have Colin and in final stage you get Nikki...seriously if you don't play it that way, you should definitely check it out
*Third wingman
Turn on Drift Physics in Extra Options and you can use literally anything, it's broken. I've beaten Darius and Wolf's Murcielago with the Collector's Edition 240SX.
Muscle car in this game is like dragster that can turn just a bit, in my muscle only run, i choose the Mustang GT as my Tier 2 (i got nothing else since im playing non collector edition) and its pretty nasty experience, but once i get to tier 3 its fun a games, and ofc i have to overtake Darius on the first turn since im using a Vette
I have a collectors edition carbon.
The 240sx is the best tier 1 tuner, it is comparable to rx7 tier 2 in terms of specs.
Muscle cars in Carbon are a bit annoying because they always slide uncontrollably around the corners. I'm sure they don't oversteer a lot in real life.
Well, nfs c is not a sim racing game…
@@26shago Even sim games overexaggerate the handling of muscle cars. Some muscles with better suspension handle just right, but devs don't rely on that detail.
Its sad how unbalanced are the classes in this game, muscle cars can make you with those chase races but its a bit difficult in normal races in the city in the corners
OBJECTION!!!
The BMW M3 GTR is classified as an Exotic
this automatically makes Exotic the best class
I had a special tuned Viper just for this. Geared the transmission for maximum acceleration and it would ROCKET past anybody on a canyon race
Still the best NFS to date.
I always used, and had an obsession with Carbon’s mighty Viper.
Tip: In one of challenge series you can unlock a car that is more powerfull than of 3 cars which gaves you and is 20,000$. So instead of beginning the career, first pass those challenge series mission, then start the career and sell your car then buy that car. Easily you can pass 3 first Bosses without spending any money on tuning and save your money for the last boss
I prefer exotic cars, they are easier to handle, and still very balanced
wait so since the beginning of the game can you beat the first 3 bosses without spending anything just with c4maro stock? so I always spent money for nothing tuning the car until I freed up Darius's area
Not sure about that. I only beat Angie with stock Camaro but not sure if Kenji and Wolf would be that easy.
That yellow Viper is looking fresh af
ending this video with muscle theme song was lit
i always see the muscle mfs complaining
"Corvette or Viper!?!?!?!?!?!"
with corvette you'd be hitting walls 24/7 whilst regaining that lost speed with american vette power.
Viper just skips and hops like a rock on water.
one accident with the nos and boom!! you flipped yourself
i never see people using concept or hemi cuda
or hell even gt500
to beat darius
Once you learn how to make the sharpest turns. Muscle cars become killers! However, it's way easier to completely fυcκ up a turn. I did some ghost runs with the Corvette and i wasn't even getting close to catching up with the R8. Very impressive.
I remember using the Muscle car I won from the muscle boss canyon race, then upgrade acceleration to easily beat Darius in the first few seconds of canyon race, too
Some of the muscle cars just plain suck though. The Chrysler was a total brick, while the Shelby and the Plymouth were both woefully underpowered as T3’s that didn’t even have much of a power advantage. Definitely a case of certain muscles working a lot better than others.
That's what I always do in Carbon, I always pick the Muscle car class. But Muscle cars are the best too
Lotus Elise. best vehicle in the game to do everything. very versatile when you know how to tune it correctly. well, this applies to my driving style, I don't know about you guys. I finished the entire game in that car and beat Darius in the first try.
Is that a new Nintendo Game?
NO!
Nintendo never released a good graphics brand new game with cars names and brands.
They are bound to do 0-3 years old car games for their rich customers.
The fact that I was an idiot to sticking with Automatic Transmission as a kid, and wondering why I was doing only 335 KM/H or something with a Corvette with everything optimized for top speed, when really you can push 400+ KM/H with Manual Transmission with the same optimization. I would still lose to Darius because of his ludicrous rubberbanding half the time.
Real reason people didn’t know
Tuners: Best Handling
Muscle: Best Acceleration
Exotics: Best Top Speed
Facts, i didnt overtake all bosses but i overtook Darius which itself is enough lol
I was won this game for 10 years ago. When I was teenaged. Now I play again but I never won. I used exotic car. Now I can memories on that time I play muscle car.
I just noticed. were you using manual transmission?
Darius like a goon from Lazy town.
Bro Kenji 2 got owned hard by that viper
This is what I’ve learned over my 6000 hours of this game. Get the highest Top Speed Tuner, and just SMASH the accelleration to the top. This should be either the Skyline or 350z, trust me, the amount of speed out of corners will blow your flipping mind. Almost Muscle Car accelleration, with Tuner Handling, and your Top Speed will still be solid.
Well imagine this game with this car line up only with Prostreet tuning, NFSU2 cosmetics tuning and Rockport province. The idea of touge showdown with Canyon battles was spot on but the problem was most of these roads weren't exactly on the city map. Anyway i think the handling of muscle cars was very good actually compared to exotics and easily the best tier of the game. Tuners ok they gripped a lot but their acceleration and top speed were awful, R34 and Supra again were shit in this game compared to RX-7 and Evo and 240SX, Corvette was OP without Nitros it could hit it's top speed. The only NFS game that did justice to Supra was Prostreet. But yeah in the previous 2 installments V8 powered cars were awful except for Vette and maybe Viper which wasn't bad wasn't good.
It's your skills and not the car (I'm sure that not everyone can overtake the others easily). Let's go for the real data:
What makes the race is the handling. It's the most important point ever (As F1's can overtake all other race cars ever made because of their handling). The second most important is top speed, cause every race track have long straight lines, and low top speed make it harder. For the last position, acceleration, that makes we go faster to higher speeds (It's very fun), but it only works good if top speed and handling works good.
The best ones are the exotics, because they have a balance between the 3 attributes. The second best, the tuners, they are slow, but they have perfect racing condition. For the last positions, i put the muscles, which can only be handled by the masters of the carbon races, and even if you are a master of the steering, you will visibly lose 120% of the amount of the speed you gain on straight lines, because you will need to brake hardly to control...
That's my vision, and i guess it isn't wrong. I only used muscle cars on carbon for fun, but i always got rage, because i lost all my speed, and everyone overtake me
Literally what? This literally just showed how Acceleration which is the muscle cars strong point is better in the canyon races. Having better acceleration and being able to just rocket past them and stay in front for 10seconds is easy in a muscle car. Where as an exotic or Tuner won’t be able to do the same as easily.
All have their advantages like you said. Tuner-Handling, exotic-most balanced and best top speed. Muscle-best acceleration and decent top speed.
Exotic’s are probably the worst of the 3 since they don’t handle as well as the Tuners and don’t have the acceleration to slingshot themselves out of corners like Muscle cars do and the lack of big long straights in carbon means they can’t make the most of their better top speed. So there isn’t really any areas in the game where they outright excel over the other two.
Tuners have the best handling and okay acceleration and so do the best on tight and winding tracks and make up for their lack of speed by being quick through corners. And there’s plenty of twisty tracks in Carbon.
And lastly muscle they might not handle quite as well as Tuners but they aren’t that hard to get the hang of and since they accelerate way quicker means any speed you may have lost through tight bends can be compensated for as soon as you come out the other side and if there’s any straight stretches then tuners aren’t gonna hang with them (or exotics) at high speeds. Plus the whole slow mo ability helps rob tuners and exotics of any handling advantages they may have over muscle. And as mentioned earlier just zooming past bosses in canyon runs is easier with fast accelerating muscle cars.
So the order is really.
1. Muscle
2. Tuner
3. Exotic.
And from personal experience I was able to clear the game by beating Angie with the Camaro and then beating the rest of the game with Angie’s Charger. Darius at the end was Tricky but I got it I’m the end. Plus beating him with the Viper or Corvette is a cake walk.
@@Cliffy1616 1: The muscles accelerations are pointless since you lose 120% of your speed braking to control the car
2: You can overtake everyone with every car on every canyon
3: Exotics DON'T focus only on top speed, they are balanced between top speed, acceleration and handling, and that's why they outspeed the other cars
4: You must be an american racing lover, because i never see someone saying that acceleration is more important than top speed, much less than handling
5: The reason that handling is the most important attribute is VISIBILE and you don't wanna see this. There was a car called Chaparral 2J, which was the best handling car in the history ever, cause it's vacuum aerodynamics system, and it was BANNED from automobilism, cause unfair technological advantages. And guess what? This car had medium acceleration and top speed compared to other prototypes.
6: Need for speed carbon races have corners and good sized straights, as every race have. Acceleration is only for short races and quick bursts.
7: You can do the test yourseld and check it, no need to me to explain it to you
Also the last: Muscles are only stable because THEIR TOP SPEED. They can reach decent speeds arround 380KM/H or a little more, so they are good because this, and not only because acceleration. Wake up, my friend. You beat the game with the camaro, but there are persons doing this with alfa brera and rx8 😂😂
@@TITANa.k.a.RADIATION173 you’re literally just making up arbitrary numbers. You cannot lose 120% of your speed since that would mean you’re literally going backwards. And if you know what you’re doing you won’t lose that much speed to begin with and so the better acceleration helps you claw back any speed or time you may have lost through a tight turn.
Yes you can over take anyone with any car in the canyon, but for straight off the line at the start muscle cars especially late game with the Corvette and Viper make it easiest. Yes you can still do it with the others but in the case of say Tuners you’ll have to wait until the first turn usually where your opponent will slow down but you’ll be able to scoot past them. Exotics can do this as well and sometimes depending on who your racing can also overtake them right at the start.
I never said exotics focus solely on top speed they’re the most balanced all around, but their area that they are supposed to excel at IS top speed. But you can’t take advantage of that most of the time due to a lack of long straights. But yes they are balanced but this means they don’t handle as well as tuners or accelerate as fast as muscle. So again they’re balanced they don’t put handle tuners but will out accelerate them out of a corner. They won’t beat a muscle off the line or pull away from them out of a corner. But they’ll be a bit quicker through the corner.
Wether handling, acceleration or top speed is most important is completely subjective and entirely depends on the kind of race. On a tight narrow winding track then handling and acceleration will be most important. In drag racing it’s acceleration that’s king, tracks with long bends and big straights then it’s acceleration and Top speed. Drifting is handling and acceleration. Normal circuit racing is a healthy balance of all 3.
But the point is specifically in NFS carbon real world logic doesn’t work like that. Because again Tuners are the handling cars and that advantage is completely robbed by the fact the game has the silly slow mo ability you can activate. Which will let you pull muscle or exotics through tight turn they normally wouldn’t make. And again if you don’t suck ass then it really isn’t hard to use Muscle cars on bendy tracks anyway. And with any handling advantage being lessened by the slow mo ability then both Tuner and exotic’s 1 main advantage over muscle is lessened drastically. And not having many long straights means exotics can’t capitalise on their better top end speed either. And Tuners can’t hang with muscle or exotics for top speed. Basically In Carbon muscle gets the most advantages with very little real draw backs. Tuners and exotics have their handling lessened. And exotics being most balanced doesn’t actually do them many favours. Since tuners out handle them and muscle isn’t as slow through corners as you’re making them out to be. And muscle beats them for acceleration.
Yes the game is mostly corners I said that but again muscle doesn’t handle anywhere near as poorly as you’re making out and with the slow mo you’ve got a whoopsy save me button. what ever decent straights it has aren’t long enough to give exotics any real advantage. Not too mention you can build the corvette or viper towards top end speed anyway and they actually out perform ALL exotics in the game for top speed. So the 1 area exotics are supposed to excel they aren’t even the best at.
So again Exotics are the most balanced but in game that doesn’t do them any favours over muscle as the ONLY area they beat muscle is handling and considering muscle don’t handle that bad and the slow mo ability means the handling advantage exotics have is minimal and doesn’t make up for Muscles acceleration and sometimes better top speed.
So TLDR Handling’s importance is lessened due to the slow mo ability and Muscle do not handle any where near as bad as you’re making out. So the handling gap between muscle and the others isn’t that important and muscle being better with accelerating and rivalling Exotics for top speed means they’ve got the most advantages.
And If you didn’t just skim read you’ll realise I NEVER claimed to have beaten the game with the Camaro. I said I beat ANGIE with the Camaro, Won her Charger and beat the game with the Charger.
@@Cliffy1616 Why you don't go study automobilism before debate with me? In your logic, cars like built dragsters could beat f1's in real race tracks. Are you out of your mind? Are you really okay? Go study man
@@TITANa.k.a.RADIATION173 literally what? Not every race is a circuit race. A drag race is a real race and is run on a drag strip which are REAL race tracks and an F1 would get completely embarrassed down a 1/4mile by an actual drag car. Hell there’s cars running around on the street that would demolish F1’s down the 1/4mile.
And again i’m NOT TALKING ABOUT IN THE REAL WORLD. in the GAME any handling advantages that Tuners or Exotics have aren’t large enough to put them outright above Muscle. THE GAME is not the same as real life and so real world comparisons mean literally NOTHING. Or drift racing is run on circuits and drift cars would again destroy F1’s because they aren’t made to drift. You’re acting as though traditional circuit racing is the ONLY form of racing when it’s not. And you’ve yet to address any of my IN GAME POINTS, you just rant on about irrelevant Real world B.S. that doesn’t matter In the context of the game.
Your logic that handling is most important is completely flawed. Since handling means NOTHING if your car isn’t quick. If you can’t keep up with your opponents then it doesn’t matter how well your car handles since you’ll be left eating their dust anyway. Hence I said in circuit Racing you NEED a blend of all 3 handling, acceleration and top speed.
So maybe actually learn to read rather than just skimming bits and pieces and acting like a know it all. When you clearly don’t know as much as you think.
Still a great looking game today running on the 360, goes to show optimization at its finest looked so much worse on other systems and pc, of course without mods haha, this and most wanted need a remaster! 2 damn good nfs games!
Nice, and specially, if you tune up your suspension, you may have a huge track machine
This would actually get me to switch if i wasnt such a die hard tuner fanboy
I'd say if we're talking the best class overall it would probably be exotics due to cars like the M3 GTR or the Audi Lemans.
But for the campaign? Yeah, best class no question. The corvette is arguably the best car in the game.
Yeah, Muscle cars are good, but my fav car here is still BMW M3 GTR
