@@ghostliver I didn't usually used the brake unless there is very hard turn. I usually let go the pedal to keep it up the speed and keep drive on the right road so i don't crash into NPC vehicles on the left road. I don't like using time slow and drift in this Most Wanted cuz I know I will crash. 😂
Playing this game again after 10 years… i think this game was above my standards when I was kid . I use to struggle alot for collecting bounty and couldn’t make blacklist 4 due to bounty shortage. But today i am enjoying this game even more ❤ .. currently ready to take down Razor😊

Focus blocking on the last part of the track, pay attention when the percentage reached somewhere around 70%, that's when you start the blocking game
Or
Get extra options, and disable catch up. It will turn off all AI's capabilities of rubberbanding you, even the cops

@@Okord_Obasijust beat him after so many tries here are some tips :- avoid first short cut and make lead with him as much as possible.when cornering avoid drifting cause it will slower you . Specifically in last few bends also drive car with good handling like porsche . Good luck bro ❤
The funniest part about earl is he is the only blacklist member that is mentioned to be scared that you will actaully beat him so the guy is literally giving it everything he's got to win.

@@cvct_lo I didn't remember which member was a scared one but when I read the title I knew it was him, because the entire blacklist was trivial to beat, I probably haven't restarted the races over 10 times in total (excluding Earl), except the Drag races, they have a learning curve to remember which lanes to take if you don't want to not use the brake. I haven't even restarted once when I beat the top 4 members but the race against Earl was the one I needed to restart 3-4 times. He was definitely the hardest to beat.

I've always thought of Earl as the Gatekeeper of the Blacklist. If you could get past him, everyone after him felt easy.
I've recently heard that developers sometimes make their games easier on purpose after clearing a big challenge so that it feels like you acquired mastery over it. So now I wonder if Earl is designed to give you exactly that sort of feeling

It's the game combined with the track, not the enemy. The game was something, which is called a "rubberband-effect" in your language in it's standard-settings. That's the reason aswell, why you won so many races, even when you enemies were far gone for a while (and there exactly comes this effect, it can affect the CPU to drive better or worse to make races more fun). The track is long, has very very much sharp corners and hills, which is not good for most of the cars in the game. You need small, light-weighted cars with good handling. The RX-8 was an okay car for this. RX-7 would have been insanely good. The GTI would have insanely good aswell. Just two examples. It's funny, how naive and one-sighted you are, that you think, you are "the god" for getting enemies, that were 3k miles away, but if computer enemies do this, they are hard or something...

Even Earl only does so twice in first race, and maybe 3-4 times in second... If u just drive cleanly, u are sure to win... Just let him pass and he will slow down...
Its when u try to keep them behind at all costs that they are right on ur tail the whole time...
The worst thing about rubberbanding Earl is that you think "wow I can't wait to get his car, this thing must be an absolute rocketship" and then it's just ok.

Edit: in no way are these races “hard”. Definitely still beatable on one try but will give you the most challenge out of the already easy blacklist races. Also adding Ming’s speed trap since he’ll actually keep close in terms of points and hold a lead in the race/pass the finish before you causing you to lose points.

That shit was hard from the way it was started.
I remember playing this race back in 2012-13 maybe. At 80% of the race he suddenly starts driving like a God. Straights, corners, it did not matter to him at all, he kept driving like a maniac throughout and made me say such bad words to the monitor that it's not appropriate to put those here. Difficult race indeed.

I saw another video where Earl hits the stone at the 89% of the second race like he did in the video, and he rubberbanded so fast that he nearly overtook the player on the hill before the finish line

Just don't be in front for all of the race and you can overtake him easy, cause he starts driving very bad at that time...
When i started carreer to unlock all boss cars Earl was the only one that won against me (only once in like 10 races because his car wasn't showing in the cards)😂 so there are 2 possibilities: 1. i'm a pro or 2. Maybe i played it with a powerful pc and there is less rubberband

Earl is by far the hardest boss of the blacklist in NFS MW, he is programmed to make you hone your skills, that's why there is no traffic so you can drive on the edges.
In my playthrough I disabled the rubber band effect and still he closed those gaps (even 1km gap) so fast at the last 20% of the sprint race.
#1 for me in difficulty, after him the bosses felt so easy.

The reason why he is rubberbanding even without catch up on is because you dont have a decent top speed yet he reaches 370 kmh with ease on the long straight of the second race i even tried the race with the 100 opponents mod and some earl's reached 400 kmh because they were far behind
You can not fully disable the rubber band, it's hardcoded just like assists in prostreet

The key to defeat EARL in last race is to use speedbreakers wisely especially at the difficult corners and disable the speedbreaker when your car is alligned perfectly with the track and also dont forget to use the NITRO when your speed gets below 150 kmph or 95 mph and maintain your speed to 240 kmph or 150 mph
Therefore you will be able to defeat EARL easily
I also used this strategy to defeat EARL by using BARON's porsche............

Earl, my favorite blacklister. I always take pride in taking his ride and whooping everything else with it. Probably my 2nd favorite car of NFS MW BE 2005
He has some brutal rubberbanding, just let yourself be overtaken before the 70% completion mark and if you retake the position after the AI wont be so stupidly op in the final segment.

Ok I know it's not just me at the second race with Earl there are two turns where he somehow magically speeds up and it was so annoying I played most wanted a few times when I was younger Earl was the most annoying

It's also worth noting this is the last Blacklist Rival you race, that uses a Japanese car in the upcoming line up.
It's actually kinda crazy to think that in the next game the only two boss cars that are Japanese Tuners are Kenji's RX7 and the Evo IX 🤪🤭

Basically i started again this game in 2016-17, but when It's about earl, in the 2nd race he just becomes too much tough to beat like in absloute final moment he clutches like damn...
In fairness, even without upgrades the Lancer Evolutions are some impressive machines. But when upgraded and tuned to that degree they're absolute MONSTERS

Idk if beating Earl meant that the game was going to get easier from there - that only happened if you won Ming's Gallardo. What I do know is that the pursuits were gonna be hell after Earl.
Pursuit kind a easy in heat level 5 you just need to avoid crash, spiketrap and Rhino rest one is easy
I think this is mostly due to the lancer already being a faster car, while also being AWD and the circuits having a lot of uphill roads

Him and Vic were unusually hard. Tip 5 are easy because by then you have a pretty much complete car with even some junkman parts
You gotta remember after beating Earl you are allowed into Rockport city. It doesn't matter what car you have made it at the point of this race he is always gonna be that last stepping stone to getting into Rockport. He is meant to be the hardest blacklist Racer because you really gotta race as if you lost it would end your career.

Earl's car took me all the way back in the day
In my Perfectionist runs of Most Wanted, I had to confront most of the bosses several times on hard difficulty to get the pink slip as a first card (on first reveal) and Junkman parts as second, and I never had any problems with beating each of them. I started following some NFS:MW content on YT recently and I came across a lot of players struggling with Earl on easy mode... which is totally mind-boggling to me.
Race him dirty if you want to win. If you want to race him clean, you'll keep pressing that restart.

I beat him with my over tuned Supra. That borderline 360 degree turns at 4:00 and 4:27 were hell. The mental toll of maintaining the lead for that long track was crazy
Here’s a tip bro. Use barrons cayman S and keep it upgraded and it’ll hammer him. I always use black list cars and upgrade them fully, they’re OP in this game with mods 😉

@@josephhensley1943 not mods as in altering the game. Mods as in modifications to your car like the extra marker you get after gaining the pink slip with the first one, if you use the second marker for a performance part aka junk man part.
I raced him with Porsche Cayman, which had much better handling and drift built in, but racing him made me realise I connected to the game and earl; I wasn’t feeling like a overconfident rookie who's ready to take on any challage, rather I had a respect for earl. And I felt that feeling was mutual. I knew this is the guy who owns this road, to beat him not only I have to be focused but give him the respect he deserves. During the race I felt this game is worth it for the very first time.
The only way I left that Evo in the dust was with the TT quattro

back when i played as a kid it took me 4 weeks to beat this motherfucker, every weekend i would try for hours upon hours just with me always ending up 200 feet behind him (i played it on automatic transmission). I ive recently replayed the game and it took me 3 attempts while playing on manual transmission mode. I can safely say that playing with manual mode on definitely helped with the corners.

Yeah actually, when you get hold of manual transmission, it opens a new and exciting way of playing the game, and I managed to beat the times of many races using manual transmission, it does feel better at times...!
I've finished the game without touching the pursuit braker. Not even once. Later got to know it's usage.
And in this, you can easily defeat earl using baron's porsche Cayman. Its getting tough here because of the Mazda.
The rubber-banding on him is so stupid, fortunately with some luck and quick thinking you can beat him easily.

Yep he had the best drive algorithm for corners and all the tricky phases he was the toughest one out there not even razor was close to him just defeating him was where I quit the game in the early days which I could clear after becoming a bit more older
Now imagine me, i am the type of person that doesnt use the speed breaker, so Earl is just too fkn hard to beat, his a monster, and when i failed to get hos car i tried again, luckily i got it on the next try.

I tried and succesfully best all blacklist drivers with a Cobalt SS. Vic and Earl were especially difficult, so I just gave them a 5 - 10 second head start and let the rubberband do its thing. Suddenly the AI would crash into other cars or just be pathecially slow and surely Id beat them with no NOS 75% of the time.

Yet as rubberbanding as he is, he is still no match for the god king of rubberband MATT with his Honda S2000 in Underground 1. The moment you saw him in the line up you knew you were going to be sitting there for hours trying to win that race.
All you need is to block Earl in your back to prevent Earl from overtaking you

When I was a kid, I won against Earl on my first try but I could never beat JV. As an adult, Earl's rubber band somehow smoked me like three times in a row and JV was done on one try lol
Using Sonny’s GTI with junkman parts made racing Earl so much easier for me tho it was still not easy

The biggest issue with Earl is that the second race happens on a track where it is impossible for you to reach full speed in the end parts. The AI however, ignores this completely .

I moded this game with the trainer +12, kept my speed as high as possible (im takin 250mh-320kmh) dude still kept up. Was using the junkman maxed out M3 GTR and had a max time of 5sec ahead, MAX. Earl is wild.
Well yes it's hard, but I would like to restart again if I didn't get his pink slip, man I love that evo, especially the livery, & I always use this car when I play MW it's so reliable to every event

When I first played against Earl. I restarted the game a lot. But after beating the whole game a couple of times. I can beat him now without using nitros and speedbreaker
Earl is simply the best driver in the game, plus not only is his car super duper fast (I always used it during my playthroughs) but the handling is just exceptional.
I only struggled with him when I was very young. I thought spamming the speedbreaker would make me faster but it only slowed me down. I never use it in races anymore and he can't even touch me

I beat Earl in my first try. I used Porsche Cayman that I got from another Blacklist guy. In the second car i was very nearly loosing when I overtook him at the verylast second

In my experience I will say earl is medium level difficulty. Because to defeat earl you need the right car and that is barons porsche because this is the only car potential unlocked at that time . 1st race is so damn easy but the 2nd race he is in God mode

I got lucky on the 2nd race lol. But it was during my 2nd try tho repeating his race. He got stuck or i have no idea what happened. This was on my ps2. When i checked how much distance it said he was more than 8000+ meters away lol! I was shocked, out of fear of his rubber banding i was rushing through the map and trying to reach the finish line..and nearing the finish line I noticed the distance.. I was like "Ahh this is gona be smooth sailing". So I guess Earl's rubber-banding messed him up and he rubber banded himself on some wall. This was some funny ass shit man. That's Karma for you Earl Rubber Band James ;p
