Freewell just build new design filters for Mini 2/SE. Most of the materials are made of plastic. The old one is made of steel and it is always possible to damage the camera and it's kinda hard to attach to the camera. Always make the same noise as in ur videos and sometimes the gimbal will shake terribly. Yes, the old one has a solid build quality. But the material use is not suitable with a plastic coating and gimbal for the Mini 2 camera. I'm glad Freewell re-design the filters and the reason they did it is that they knew the old design really gave a consumer a headache. BTW, nice videos, and thanks for sharing.🙂👍
Yes! me too, I'm happy that they re-designed it. Cause I love their filters quality, they produce a crisp image, but usually cause gimbal overload as you said. I mentioned in another comment though that putting the ND Filter when the drone is off and calibrating the gimbal after you turn it on will get rid of the noise! However, it's annoying to keep doing every single time and sometimes I have to calibrate 2 or 3 time to have a stable drone gimbal... So definitely a good move from FREEWELL. Hey, Thank you for participating in the conversation and point this out! :)
My dji mini 2 has problems with this package of freewell filters. The gimbal keeps making noises and sometimes start to vibrate really heavy. Even after calibration ? What's going on ?
I had the same problems with it like you saw in the video. It vibrates and it makes noise. That's why I recommend putting on when the drone is off. And as soon as you turn it on calibrate the gimbal. That's how i got rid of the sound and the vibration. Also I noticed that this problem happens only with the cpl nd filters, the regular nd's are fine. I still calibrate the gimbal though when i put the regular ones on too. I know it's a hustle to calibrate the gimbal every time but it's a good trade for the quality. Sometimes i have to calibrate 2 or 3 times on a flat surface, it's a bit annoying but worth it. Hope this helped Niels, feel free to drop any other questions or concerns, I'm here to help
