About: Satisfactory
Satisfactory is a first-person open-world factory building game with a dash of exploration and combat. Pioneering for FICSIT Incorporated means charting and exploiting an alien planet, battling alien lifeforms, creating multi-story factories, entering conveyor belt heaven, automating vehicles, and researching new technologies.
This Factorio like game has heavy automation, with automated mining, crafting, and you can even automate movement!

The draw of the mega-factory is irresistible, no matter how many times you remind yourself of the performance cost and the impracticalities, you keep coming back.
Great video. Update 8 is fun (yay for flying), but there are also issues with missing nodes and things not working exactly as expected (trying to connect a machine to a belt often ends with the belt at a weird angle forcing you to delete it and do it over and over).
Flying is definitely a HUGE bonus. I can lay down things like splitters & mergers so much faster and more accurately!
Really great video - one suggestion that worked well for me: I set up 4 Blueprint Designers next to each other. That way I can design both the Left/Right hand side of the blueprint at the same time, as well as the left/right bottom floor logistics. Might be easier for you to demo your blueprint designs if you have the multiple designers up at the same time
I did that with a turbofuel-blueprint. So with a few clicks I take 30 oil in and get turbofuel. Just need a few connections. But I do it upwards :)
That's ... why does my brain not work that way? I made a super inefficient single blueprint that produces modular frames all from iron ingots and felt like a GOD until now.
@@PaulReed I can send you blueprints if you want to see?
@@LancelotSwe Given how efficient the turbofuel powered generators run I would very much like to see! I tend to build what I need as I need it so everything is a bit of a mess. I've already rebuilt once and it got out of hand again haha!
Oh the changes to u8 in blueprints is AWESOME. I would never go back.
I absolutely love the idea of using smart splitters on a manifold to scale the number of active machines to the resources coming in. That never occured to me but i plan to try it
I actually prefer to do this with my coal power plants, it just makes for a cleaner start up cycle. and if I accidently put to many down then it stops it at the belt limit and doesnt spit and sputter with power fulgurations. If im not running enough for whatever reason it spits the resource out and I can either sink it or use it for another purpose without it disrupting my power situation like you would get with a normal splitter. I did this with compacted coal once and was trickling out gunpowder, it eventually filled the container and then the extra just trickled into the sink.
Awesome Episode! This Save gets more and more Epic 😊 Can't wait for the next One!
Satisfactory has been the only instance of something in life that's made me wish I was more diligent when it comes to making sure my maths is correct.
man, watching you use sinks to keep everything "always on" I am assuming makes me want to redo my world haha
Do you have a video of you building your train lines? I have always admired the curves and I struggle with this in my own world. Would love to see that if you have it.
Looks an awful lot like how I make my refinery setups. Slight differences. But looks good.
You convinced me to switch to update 8, cheers for your efforts
megafactory project?? nice!!!! But... mark4 belt? why? why didnt you plan for mark5?
0😊
Building a megafctory with mark 4 belts does feel like a bit of an oversight
I don't think he has unlocked it yet.
It's not unlocked yet. 😅
@@TotalXclipse plan for mark 5 - not use mark 5 😉. You will need more than double the current allocated space if you want to have your ingots produced in one place
... as always, ch.
The "pure" receipes are utterly powerhungry indeed.. Time to expand the powergen part of the factory !
About 5 times as much power as the alloy alternate setup.
How does he create those holes in the ground floor that the elevators use?
I hope you found out by now, but if not, look for the awesome shop under «special» in the build menu. The foundation holes can be «bought» there with the ingame currency «tickets»
Would t it be more efficient to use the alloy recepie for iron and pure for copper?
As far as space, power and number of machines needed to process the ore the alloy recipes are much better, esp copper, pure copper is insanely huge compared to the alloy recipe. To make 1000 copper ingots it is 27 refineries, 400 copper ore, 266 water, 795 mw for pure or 10 foundries, 500 copper, 250 iron, 160 mw for copper alloy. With liquids being as temperamental as they are I don't like the pure recipes at all.
Iron is closer, pure is 540 iron, ore, 300 water, 16 refineries and 455 mw and alloy is 400 copper, 400 iron ore, 20 foundries and 320 mw.
@@daveisnothere Just to add on your answer, there's so much iron on the map I find it hard to justify using anything but smelters unless there's some special case - like you have 300 iron ore you need to double and you just happen to have water there. Even if you overclock the smelters to 250% for 75/min (higher than pure iron at 100%) its still using less than half the power of a refiner (plus the water extractor/pumps). Copper alloy is a beast though and its far more scarce so I don't mind burning iron and like you said water sucks. lol.
Im pretty new to the game. This is definitely a noob question.. do you need water pumps to feed the refineries water?
Yes, though the number of water extractors depends on the recipe you use.
How do you fly ?
Question guys, how is he managing to have so much flat terrain? On my save there is so many hills I dont have much space for build. Im newbie
They are building a flat terrain above the natural terrain.
He’s building on water. You can leave the starter area and seek out areas with more open space.
He is building out on the west coast of the map, above the water. Another good area for flat-ish is the North East desert, which you can pave over with concrete fairly easily.

Pst you dont have to restart for update 8.
I'm not restarting for update 8... Like I mention in the video 😅
i want to build 2*2 or 3*3 or... fundation in zoop mode. help me please🙏
use blueprints to build a 2*2, 3*3, 4*4 etc foundations and place accordingly. cant zoop from what I know.
sadly blueprints cant be zooped
@@dangus2965 but i see someone to build 2*2 to 10*10 in zoop mode
@@Bademjoon0 mods
closest thing to zoop for blueprints is switching build mode to blueprint from default, this makes the blueprint snap to the existing blueprint. I can just walk forward then click the mouse the second the blueprint snaps in place.
