Sir.. Assume i start NPS tier-1 account today and do premature exit after 5 years. Assume my corpus is 1.5lakh (less than 2.5lakh limit) after 5 years. Now, i choose full amount withdrawal. So, this 1.5lakh amount withdrawn in premature exit is taxed as per my tax slab rate or it is tax free..? Please clarify..

I’m a private firm employee & i opened NPS 3 years back. My sole reason was to get additional tax benefit of ₹50k. NPS in India is similar to 401(k) plan in the US. Although my purpose of investing in NPS still remains the same, but I would suggest private firm employees in their 20’s to get a head start & open a NPS. With better medical facilities & per capita income, our life expectancy is gonna increase in the near future. After retirement a steady monthly income will make you less dependent on your children & live life tension free.

Hi @mandeep @rishabh. I have been binging all your playlists for the last 10 days and am almost done with more than 90 videos. I thoroughly enjoy them, which is evident as I took out the time to watch so many of these videos at 1.5x and also made notes. I just have one constructive feedback for you, so that future young people who would like to absorb good quality information quickly can be helped. The playlists efficiently groups the relevant videos, BUT, the order is not given. I had to many times go through the entire playlist, sometimes opening the wrong ordered video and then again identify the first one and open it. This is a very small request and has nothing to do with the thoroughly well-researched and amazing content. It can also be sorted easily if two people spend an hour each. Just a suggestion. Keep doing the amazing work. I love you guys for doing so. Cheers.

    Hi Sir,
I have a question regarding NPS employer contribution. I know you already made one video on NPS but it would be great if you can address how an individual can take maximum benefit of NPS. As far as I know NPS benefit are 50000 as tax exemption in 80 CCD(1). However, there is one more thing as NPS employer contribution which can be maximum of 10% of basic pay. So will it make the deduction over and above 2 lakh limit of 80C + 80 CCD(1). If yes, then how can I leverage my existing NPS pran to add employer contribution? if I have seperate PRAN for corporate NPS and my personal contribution then having more than one PRAN id is not valid or recommended by NPS authority which can cause problem. Please share your thoughts on this. Thanks in advance !

I have one query on NPS. I have recently opened NPS account after watching all 3 videos on NPS.
Currently, I am doing 12% contribution in PF but now, I am willing to contribute in NPS.
    I have following queries.
    1. Can I reduce PF contribution to 1800 per month instead of 12%? If yes, then how?
    2. Shall I reduce PF contribution and invest that amount in NPS? I will get some benefit or not?
It would be great if you can reply to me or create a video on this topic.

I recently started researching about investment. And I liked how honest and lucid your content is.
I have few doubts about investment in NPS Tier 2.
    1. Is the equity portion is only invested in index funds by fund managers of NPS?
    2. Can I use NPS tier 2 as an alternate of mutual funds for short term investment. let's say around 3 years. keeping the equity portion max out to 75%.
    3. Can I use NPS tier 2 as alternate to savings account keeping the proportion to 0% equity and 100% govt. bonds.
    4. Is the govt. bond folio in NPS similar to debt funds in mutual funds?
I feel most of my questions are connected. Please answer it here or make a short video on 'Can tier 2 NPS be used as alternate to MF or savings account for medium to short term investments.

One thing to keep in mind that NPS employer contribution is part of your ctc similar to PF. Very long term investment plan will never be helpful.
Real life example: My dad invested 300 rupees per month with 12% compound interest and after 20 years he got 3 lakhs rupees. 20 year back 300 rupees per month was a big amount. The money he got after 20 year is not valuable as compare to 20 year back. So I feel very long term investment is not a good idea because indian rupees is always falling. Instead you can invest some where else like land, gold. Choose your investment wisely.

Of course usmai unka contribution he itna nahi hai ki koi pension ban paye. On the other hand agar koi 30 saal contribution karega to obviously usko accha return milega.

Search those Govt. employees amount of contribution, the number of years of contribution, the percentage invested in annuity etc. before making any comment. Surely, I believe that you will be in a better position. I know one uncle who worked in the private organization for the past 21 years, believe it or not, he is getting Rs 19580/- per month through NPS (he said it). He has other investments like RD, FD, SIP, Insurance as well. When I asked how he managed to do this, he simply replied, "Saving is an Art, Saab ki baas ki Baat Nahi hai. Long hail Warren Buffet". So, my friend, it is deemed to be difficult but not impossible.

    Some very important questions:
What are the charge structures in NPS, please make a video on this. It looks like for each remittance the charge of POP-SP (20 rs or 10rs minimum) and CRA (3.75 per txn) are very high. Also please explain D-Remit feature in that. I am still not clear whether D-Remit is entirely free or not.
