As an advisor, in this situation, I would tell the customer “we couldn’t duplicate ___ noise, but we did ____ bulletin, because that could cause a noise like you’re hearing”. Even though it’s a CCND, you performing the repair anyway gives the customer peace of mind and helps prevent me from getting a bad survey.
Did these recalls/updates fix all the major issues you might have had? I'm a 4Runner owner used to working on my own vehicles but looking at slightly used CX-90 PHEV as a possible family car for the wife. So this new engine/EV combo is something I'm not comfortable working on myself and just looking for reassurance that if we buy one of these returned vehicles or even a new one that the major kinks are addressable while it's still under warranty and that we'll ultimately be happy with the purchase. Would love your thoughts. Thanks!
The creaking sound is real, I've driven an early model and it creaked driving over undulations, and I also have a newer model built after November 30 2023 it has the newer control arm from the factory and it has never made creaking sounds.
Oh yeah. I believe it. That, my friend, is what you call progress. New models come out, then they can find the issues and start to build the vehicle better.
My 2024 CX-90 Turbo S PP definitely have the creak or squeak noise that I can hear at low speed sometimes. It doesn't always make the noise and it might be why you can't "duplicate" the issue when you drove that particular CX-90. I suspect that it could be effected by air temperature. I know it's frustrating having to diagnose a customer concern, but just know that it's equally frustrating for the customers as well. My Falken tires are close to the wear out line already at 14800 miles. These Falken tires performs well, but don't wear so good. I appreciate your videos showing what you have to deal with.
@@ShopForemanGarage I hear it the mostly when backing out of my garage and pulling out of the driveway over uneven surfaces. I have not taken it in to get the TSB done yet. So, we will have to wait and see if it'll creak or squeak the next time I take it in for service.
That seems to be Mazda answer to all problems, put some grease on it. My 2024 CX-90 brakes were squeaking they put some grease on it. Drove off from the dealership, and the brakes are still squeaking. The trunk hatch was clunking while driving, and they put some dialectric grease on it.
Mazda has had brake squeaking issues since the beginning of time. I don't know why they can't get it right. I have noticed the CX-90 brakes squeaking louder then ever.
Thanks for the CX-90 content! I may have missed it, but how many miles did the customer have on the tires? These OEM-specific tires have a treadwear rating of only 300 which is similar to a summer performance tire and not an all-season - I'm guessing it makes them less expensive for Falken/Mazda to have such a low treadwear rating? I really don't want to replace them with the same model when mine wear out, though I doubt there are many tires to choose from in this specific size that will be priced reasonably.
I have this noise I think on my 70 MHEV, does it kinda sound like the sway bar end links are bad? My dealer said it was natural and drove 3 other 70/90s. It's driving me nuts. Light bumps it sounds like the end links are completely toast
The CX-70 are brand new. I have not worked on any other then performing a PDI. I have not heard any noise in them and there are no bulletins. You might try taking it to another dealer. Drive with the technician and point out the noise. Test drive another CX-70 with the technician and see if it has the same noise.
@@ShopForemanGarage I have - fortunately/unfortunately they drove another 70 a new 90 and a used 90, all having the same noises within the same route. From what I'm gathering, Mazda USA has not been giving dealers a ton of the intricate details on these - like the noise generator that both the MHEV and PHEV have that sound like a grinding noise, or the 5th to 6th gear shift that gives the 'woot' sound.
I have a new CX90 the stupid passenger side seat keeps busting loose from the frame. Silly dealership says its my fault. Im like OKKKKK then why is my drivers side perfect. Needless to say that was an interesting conversation with mazda corporate
What type of video do you want to see next?

Exactly. No can of worms needed.
Nice to see that the MAZDA CX9 is a great vehícle, and thanks for showing on how to put the grese on to take the noice off.
No problem 👍
Just did all of the recalls on my CX-90 PHEV using MDARS, everything went smooth.

Thanks for the comment and thanks for your support. I believe the bulletin talked about driving over uneven surfaces.

@MikeATL- you may have to take the technician to your house and have him back out of your driveway. lol, I have done that before.
Waiting for part II of the Miata, timing belt, and seals !❤

It had over 29,000 miles. I think it may be a soft compound. But, that also makes it a smoother running tire.
Use a card to apply the grease similar to the card used for the steering rack recall that came out in the beginning of the year.
This is a good idea. I will do that next time.

So what are the most common trending problems you are seeing now adays?
I personally have not seen any trending issues. If their not coming in for a recall. Then it's only oil changes and tire rotations.

Wow. I don't even see how that could happen. I hope they get it fixed for you.
@ShopForemanGarage ohhhh in not fooling with them anymore, I went to another dealership. They were honestly idiots
Don"t want to see a fix on a BRAND NEW 2024 Mazda because they failed to properly grease the damn rubber bushings !
Thanks for watching. And thanks for your support.
