I know the heat and sun suck down south but you don’t know how blessed you are to be working in a car that is not rusted to crap like the rest of us up north!
no kidding, in new york , at least where i live, they spread salt/sand mixture that will inevitably cake onto your underside and suspension, so unless you've gotten professional undercoating and wash the underside of your car often, your vehicle will last about 10 years on average. :(
Imagine doing this in south Mississippi. Pop up tents only work well if the sun is at the right position. Down here I’m soaked in sweat within 15 minutes. I try and work as early as possible but being a mobile mechanic you take what you can get. It’s a hard job not being inside a shop with a fan. I have all the respect in the world for this guy because I live it everyday.
Redwings boots I work in hvac and have had the same pair of redwings for 5 years and haven’t even had to resole them yet plus the most comfortable boots I’ve warn you can choose any style that fits what you like I believe they had non steel toe options but I have the toe in mine and they are still super light boots

I haven't seen you placing wheel chocks before starting to work on a vehicle, please do. Thank you for your videos and everything that you do. I work on my own cars but I'm getting older and eventually I'll have to call someone else to work on my vehicles. Stay safe.

I wear Redwing slip on boots when I’m working and they’re light, comfortable, keep your shins and ankles from getting bit, and no laces to break. Cost some extra bucks but they last for years.
Nice work🤙especially in that sun, you can get stainless steel cable ties that are good for the rack boots , when changing inner and outer tie rods it’s easier to measure the total length from rack to joint as some pattern parts are different lengths so counting turns is no good
Thank you! Counting turns just gets them close for alignment. Measuring the total length takes more time which is not efficient. Either way it is getting an alignment.

Yesterday i watched you put a cat on a truck in the street without even raising the truck. Even jacking a vehicle up i find it a total PITA just to do O2 sensors, how you managed that was outstanding. My back and knees would never have forgiven me and my arms and hands would at best have scrapes and cuts. Wow!!!
Counting the threads sounds good in theory however there can be differences in length between oem and aftermarket tie rods what I do is pull the boot back and take off both at once still connected to each other the put the new ones together and measure both next to each other once the measurements are equal use some white out to mark the spot on the new parts yea it takes a bit longer but more accurate than counting threads

Great job brother, 1st. Time watching your video's, & yes i have the old tool that looks like a big sleeve socket, but found out i could not use on my nissan sentra thats when i learned about the pipe wrench trick much faster, thanks again for sharing, peace Turtle
@@QualityMobileAutomotive idk if walmart still does it but if u go thru a pair every month they will replace them free cause they have a 30 day warranty so if u wanted to drag ur feet abit here and there to get holes and new shoes every month lol or u can get momery foams to put into a better set of boots i use to walk a ton so went thru them kinda fast but if u get a set of boots around 20 or so bucks and put the foams in them i find they last abit longer
Well, as far as the special tools go, in most instances you can do without them by using a more basic method (such as the pipe wrench here), but sometimes you have to have the right tools. When I was doing the inner tie rods on my Focus, the pipe wrench just wouldn’t fit. There was just no room to get it to latch on, let alone turning it. So, as painstaking as it was to use the special tool, I had to do it that way.
Pick up a cheap Walmart box fan with. a 25 foot light weight extension cord , (cheap),:for the hot summer days…….homeowners don’t mind you plugging in to their electrical service for a few hours

I get my boots and sneakers from walmart and so far i never had a shoe lace brake randomly and iv been wearing that kind for 15+ years
I wear the tread safe shoes from Walmart with memory foam to help prevent slipping but I wear through them in 2-3 months
Another great video power tool sure do make it easier 👍 🇦🇺

Get yourself a pair of Ariat boots. Light and perfect. Best boot on the market
Also your badass and inspirational. Keep it up bud!
Thank you! I will look into them!
I definitely agree. Sometimes you do need the right tools
Another awesome job! God bless.

Hi there....just wear old school checkered Vans....😊😊😊😊
Pick up a cheap Walmart box fan with. a 25 foot light weight extension cord , (cheap),:for the hot summer days…….homeowners don’t mind you plugging in to their electrical service for a few hours
Redback boots are awesome but pricey
Great content
Probably a 4+ hour job in upstate New York. Everything is rusted together 😢
