Hello. :) My left foot won’t stoo tingling. It’s especially bad when lying down, the tingling will also travel upwards into the calf and the hamstring. Furthermore, I’m experiencing slight hot and cold sensations on my lower back. I don’t have diabetes, but I do go to the gym so I’m guessing I lifted something the wrong way. :( Anyway, could you do a video that explains the causes of such symptoms and how to relieve it? If it’s too specific I understand! Have a great day!
So blessed to have run across your video! I have the exact problems you are talking about. My physical therapist stretches my leg and hip, but when I ask how I can do that by myself, he says I can't. Well, now I CAN! Thank you and God bless you for sharing this.
I absolutely feel so blessed that your channel came to my home practice! Thank you so much for your videos. I am a 64 year-old yoga enthusiast and your targeted videos have helped with my arthritis and joint issues!
Your tutorials have changed my life. I have hyper-mobility in most of my joints and struggle with arthritis due to this. I’ve seen so many chiropractors and not one compares to your videos. Thanks so much for caring enough to do this.
Thank you very much for the video. I have bone on bone hip arthritis, and not many videos concentrate on traction, which is the only exercise that really relieves my pain, Aloha
Michael, you're the best instructing doctor! You lit my day with the added blood circulation and all the breathers I got from these exercises! Best regards from Sweden
Dr. Rowe. Thank you for these exercises for hips. I have osteoporosis and refuse to take medications because they are poison. 😊 These exercises are great. 😊
12:58 wow! I've used this band differently and it helped some but you really do take it to the "next level". You've addressed the issues I'm having! Thank you for this. You also addressed the problem i was having of securing the band as well as the comfort issue. Again thanks Mike, you're the man!
Many Thanks for your wonderful and very helpful advice. I hope to share this video with others in order to spread the good benefit and advice it offers.
Thanks, your exercises help really. For me working stick and strap (ordinary lashing strap) exercises best. Doing that in the morning prevent pain over day. And with no protective posture I'm more movable...and this means more enjoyment of life.
Thank you so much! I can't wait to get the band to try it around the hips. I do the windshield wiper type without a band now when my back allows me to get to the floor. One of my favorites that help relieves some pain in lower spine even if it is brief. No doubt this will help more with that! Thank you, thank you!
@@DrRowe Update, I have tried twice now, each leg with the band first, then the hips. I seem to be having trouble understanding how the band stays on the foot, but compromised. When doing the legs, it made my knees worse. I should've thought better on that. As for the lower back/hip traction, while i was in tension with the band, it felt better, but after out of the band, getting up and moving again, original pain was a little worse. Not giving up yet, I probably should've have started out slower and not as much tension. In a couple days, will start out again but with baby steps. Will update in 10 days, that should give enough time to see progress. Thanks!
Hi Dr. Rowe, great video, I intend to try the stretches and exercises. I am very tight when trying trying to spread my feet out sideways (I believe this is abduction). Can you recommend any stretches or exercises to improve the ability to widen my ability to perform hip abduction? Thanks, Tim
Dr Rowe: Thank you so much for the video! I will be having a THR in roughly 3-4 weeks (medically necessary to wait that long) and I was hoping to find ways to cope/lesson the pain in the meantime. Using crutches and trying to stay off narcotics. I am ordering the band and want to order the ankle weight but I don’t see how heavy of a weight you recommend. If you could let me know I would appreciate it! Thanks again for being a wonderful person and helping people with your knowledge and experience.
Thanks for this video. I find your videos are very helpful. I do have a question about when to do this routine. Is the morning/ evening or both a better time to go through this routine?
A lot of these look like will give relief. The only one I question is the hip hike up. Looks to me that is not the best way to activate the glutes and instead will overwork the QL and obliques which often are already tight if the hip is perpetually jammed up because of the arthritis.
I have bone on bone arthritis in my right hip. Surgeon said that there is so much arthritis that he can’t tell if the hip is slightly fractured or broken. Will be scheduling a hip replacement in 2 months. I was wondering if I followed the exercises you recommended might I relieve the pain or is a replacement inevitable? I just started the stretching exercises today 9/7
Doctor what would you suggest if I have been doing these stretches consistently for 6 to 8 months now and my pain is still at the same level it was? It's just a nagging aching tingling fire feeling and I hate it when I'm trying to do squats it's come to the point to where I skip my workouts now all together what would you suggest doctor?
SUGGESTIONS - stretching videos are great, but some strengthening would be appreciated * measuring muscle imbalance at home * shoulder impingement video - thanks
Thanks I had my left total hip replacement the surgeon went through the front I’m at the end of my 4th week Monday will be the beginning of my 5 th week I’m still tight as if I sprained my left hip ! Can I do this exercise ?
Please tell me are all those movements (especially those with ancle weights and resistance band) safe with coxarhtrosis and strong pain in hip and tigh? Wouldn't pain be even stronger with and after those exercises? I have got very strong pain in hip and tight (coxarhtrosis) , I hardly walk few minutes in one road, so I'm afraid even to try those exercises.
I am down for surgery on Set 29th 2022. I amm so stired of surgery as this hip is he right one and then need the left hip done, and then the knee last of all. It is terribe. Wish I saw this before and would have tired anyway, as do have 'bone on bone' probems. I do have other problems too though. But this has been very painful Glad to see this and wil try it aftr thsi surgery as it may save me from having the other hip done anyway? Thank you! Just wish Ihad seen this earlier on I have had two spine surgeries too. (Degernative discs) the first one led to MRSA infection and almost died. Not same Orthopedic doiing these though now.
The stick opener exercise actually pointed out that I need to work on my ankle mobility because I’m having a hard time turning my left ankle inward enough to get a nice and solid hook on the stick😅😅
Man can u make a video on PIVD plz. Like both Cervical slip disc (C5, C6, C7) plus lumbar slip disc ( L3, L4, L5-S1), because many people like in IT industry are facing this problem and still after many years wasted so much money still not healed. I hope I can get permanent cure from your yoga asana. CAN U ALSO PLZ GIVE SUCH ASANAS WHICH CAN PUT THE DISC BACK INSIDE NUCLEUS PULPOSUS AND PLUS REMOVE FROM PINCHING NERVE
Hello I just ran across your video and I'm really desperate to relieve some of my pain. I can't walk very far. I'm in a wheelchair but I could stand up I follow these exercises do you think it would help to where I don't have to have a hip replacement I've been waiting 5 years and because of my A1C and my doctors don't want to do my surgery which I understand.I'm just wondering if these exercises will help thank you
Hello Doctor, have you ever treated someone with mild scoliosis and right lateral pelvic tilt. I have no back pain, but both glutes and quads are constantly fatigued, knotted, and feel lactic acid sore? Thanks, Dwight
I have a cartlidge loss in my left hip, MRI showed severe narrowing of the superior joint space this made me limp, is it possible I could reverse the damage if we follow your excersises, if possible what would something like this take to heal I mean time wise.
I’m bone on bone hip but after careful consideration I will not do a hip replacement. My natural hip although painful still stronger than a prosthetic and mine won’t dislocate
Hey, Doc, when I was doing the ankle weight exercise, I was swinging my hurt leg from side to side, and then I could hear a bone-popping sound. I switched to front and back and the other leg, nothing. Why is that?

What are your thoughts about an inversion table? Is an inversion table an effective tool?
A lot of people use them and get good relief. You just have to be comfortable being inverted.
Great advice. Thanks!

Can i use this exercise in hip avn ??
Dr. How much weight should the ankle weight be? Does body size and weight matter?
Start off light and build to your tolerance. Most people start around 2-5 lbs.
How about excercises for s curve scoliosis ? Im desperate. 😮
Please do the door ones where the door is swinging into the door stops when being pulled.
I will try at the moment i am strengthless n in alot of pain😢
I have my left hip replaced...I'm doing these for right leg...is it OK to do if you have a replacement?
Banded Traction #3 : Can this move be done for herniated disc? for decompression...
Yes
Could you make a video or two for those of us that might have a teeter inversion table, and want to get better use of it?
I actually don't have one of those tables...
Do I need to do both sides if one is already an artificial joint?
The stick method put pressure on my knee replacement should I do this
How heavy on average should the ankle weight weigh?
What if someone has one hip replaced? Do both legs?
Makes sense
Am I supposed to be sore after?
