Announcing the release of Pink Floyd’s ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ as a deluxe box set to celebrate 50 years since the release of one of the best-selling albums of all time. Newly remastered, the box set will be released on 24th March 2023.
One of the most iconic and influential albums ever, Pink Floyd’s ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ continues to find new audiences globally. The album was partly developed during live performances, and the band premiered an early version of the suite at London’s Rainbow Theatre several months before recording began. ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ is the eighth studio album by Pink Floyd, originally released in the US on 1 March and then in the UK on 16th March 1973. The new material was recorded in 1972 and 1973 at EMI Studios (now Abbey Road studios) in London. The iconic sleeve, which depicts a prism spectrum, was designed by Storm Thorgerson of Hipgnosis and drawn by George Hardie. ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ has sold over 50 million copies worldwide.

Simultaneously, on 24th March, the CD and first ever vinyl issue of Pink Floyd’s ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon - Live At Wembley Empire Pool, London, 1974’ will be released independently. It was originally recorded in November 1974 as part of the band’s winter tour and this is the first time it will be available as a stand-alone album, with artwork featuring an original 1973 line-drawn cover by George Hardie.

I am 17years old and I really really want to live in the 70s watching young PF members' performance live. 70s seems soooo nice and peaceful... these days everything is too complex and I am sick of it😢
If you think the seventies were so nice and peaceful, I have to inform you of a few aspects of the 70s: Vietnam, 14% inflation, 12% unemployment, Kent State, Detroit, Son of Sam, Ted Bundy, to name a few.
@@marionodom9585 though it was hard times, I'd like to exprerience those days.. every era of humanity has both bright and dark sides, don't they??😄 after all, I am eager to see gilmour, waters, and wright without wrinkles🤣
The 70's were different, but you should look forward not backwards. Saw PF in 1976 and yes it changes your life. You'd be surprised how few things that matter have actually changed that much. People are much the same. The pace of life was slower but you can alter your path if you chose to. Be aware that being sick of life is kind of a waste. Become interested in everything, realize that you might find someone to love and be with, but don't count on it. Getting good at being alone is important because you will be alone in your thoughts most of your life. Most of the people you have as friends will be lost eventually. Not much you can do to change that. Life is mostly suffering, death is the end of suffering so the goal is to do what you can to not make yourself, or others, suffer. Good Luck.

I first heard 'Money' while riding around on my 10 speed bike with a transistor radio attached to the handle bars. I bought DSOTM a short time later. I was about 13.
@@roballen6449 Thank you. I remember my Brother bringing albums home. I just think it's odd that there are a lot of comments saying basically the same thing as I said and they get hundreds of likes but I get Zero. Well, Now I have negated any glory. The odds of this belong in some record book. Gilmour's guitar is one of the best and induduced emotion but it's some kind of sin if I say that. Shame on me for writing it.

I think Richard Wright's cancer started way early, his head was here and there! This music is not him! Sad we love him.
Pity the sonic aspect isnt as good as the musical one is. I own several jazz recordings, live and in studio, from late '50 and early '60 and they are as good as the best ones recorded today and even more in some cases.
This live recording is outstanding. It is unequivocally unique.
