It's amazing how all these instruments form a harmony: with drums and guitar you feel more energized; with bass you feel more relaxed; and at last with keyboard you feel you are in the paradise like an extase... A truly masterpiece.
Amazing ,i saw pink floyd at empire pool ,october 1972 ,aged 15 ,with my school friend kev,,didnt realise that we heard dark side of the moon ,its a bit of a blur after all these years ,i remember seating high up with the right hand of stage ,below could see dave gilmour nic mason ,roger walters ,im so lucky to think i saw darkside live before it was released ,❤ at the end of the show my mate kept shouting for saucer full secrets ,very happy memories xx 😂
Unforgettable years!!❤🎸🤎🎸🎷❤️.. We are so lucky that we had been living such great melodic moments .. and .we are feeling so proud to remember all ...!!!❤
You can listen to the Redux a thousand times, but there is NOTHING like the dynamic of a band that clicks together as one whole, especially live. There I said it.
@@HMansion999He wrote the lyrics, not the timeless music. Roger gives himself way too much credit for these albums. The redux is a good example of Roger's inability to create something that's even close to the original DSOTM
@@thewildhealer541Totally agree, Dave Gilmore and Richard Wright were every bit as responsible for the final sound on Dark Side, come to think of it Nick Masons hypnotic percussion helped as well. I do like Rogers lyrics, but whether he likes it or not lyrics don't sell albums, the music as a whole is what most people buy albums for.
So what? You are free to listen to the original whenever you want? Redux is made to show the album’s concept in a new way. There’s no need to try to surpass the original record. One person will never give you the dinamic of a band, and there’s no need to listen to the redux to understand it. Still, there are other things, for which you can appreciate the Redux.
I tend to think Roger has just got old. He doesn't have the same creative prowess, zest, freshness, depth and astuteness he once had. But hey he's 80, he did his part and more
Just a fantastic jam song. It's great in stripped down quiet passages or with everyone giving it hell. Just great for the entire band to take turns soloing.
Saw the Floyd on the '74 tour at Liverpool Empire. Always thought this track was overlooked and underated, fits in really well between Us and Them and Brain Damage.
I have never heard a rendition of Any Colour You Like, that I didn't actually relish. I don't know why, but I do think it is my most favorite song ever produced. It doesnt need vocals to convey its message. Gilmour's guitar says it all.
My dsotm colour is purple pink and turquoise blues violet reds changing. No green or orange or yellow. It makes me feel that purple pink violet bluish ranges section. Maybe bc my teens we experimented and those colors were involved mentally and in my rooms changing colors. Def no greens or whites or yellows and oranges. Anyone else have colors associated with this album. Animals album is totally different , I think the album cover played a role in it. Weird how I associate colors with Floyd’s albums. Not just me it can’t be. Must have been linked while listening and experiencing those things
Which is why I'll never listen to it. It doesn't deserve a chance. I've yet to read a positive review from anyone. Apparently, Waters proves his absolute ineptitude without the other band members.
Omg my favorite part ever with great gig and the whole album but money, wish they put what was originally written there instead of being forced by emu to make a single to have to release. Any colour so great and it don’t even have a damn word in it. I consider it the us and them outro kinda but the whole “b side” of dsotm is really a single music piece. Money was forced onto the album by the label and roger wrote it so they had a single to release what a (dogs and pigs {3 different ones} ). But the album is really one long song like to me animals and the wall are and wywh kinda is pretty much single music pieces and stories, not many 3 minute radio tunes here, this is legit real mind bending shit never wrote for singles. Dogs 17 mins sheep pigs 11 mins, potw 1 min each, the wall opera like sound rock style in short and intertwined music like dsotm and animals and shin on broken up into 2 shorter still long as hell mythic songs. Would go on Floyd’s greatest hits as as one piece. Then. There would be 3, 4 discs or 5 of their other greatest hits. Arnold layne remember a day see Emily play fearless pillow of winds wots uh the deal echoes astronomy interstellar one of these days marooned take it back learning to fly poles apart wearing the inside out let there be lighting the turning away sorrow raving an drooling you gotta be crazy wine glasses coming back to life I haven’t touched on so much great old stuff. Go listen to soundtrack to MORE, 20 more tracks at least from early days of Floyd. I left off so much that don’t make the cut. At least half of early and momentary and the final cut maybe one or two, but imo Pink Floyd’s greatest hits 4 albums dsotm animals wywh and wall that’s 5 discs and another 2-4 of tracks that I started to name 7 to 9 discs compared Toto most bands at most2 but stones 40 licks is awesome and missing songs so a disc or 2 more. Say 4 discs. Beatles and zeppelin same. No one touches Floyd. THEE GOAT
heard this (albeit slightly less hi fidelity) version eons ago and never liked it because rick wright (rip) was unable to capture any of the majesty of his emi synth solo on dark side. still don't, though the guitar jam after that rocks
Just another majestic instrumental by Pink Floyd.
Yes! When I listen to Pink Floyd so do my neighbors 🔥🎼🔥

My favorite version of this song

You literally just pointed out the most obvious shit about pink Floyd
Great performance by Pink Floyd,a memory treasure in history.

What a trip... it relieves any stress 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
This live is amazing, it has the power to make you travel to other universes 🖤
The best version of "Any colour...", I think. Grandioso!!!
I like that it different but still very trippy
Simply AMAZING!!!❤

Roger's bass is another level on this one. And oh, so's Nick drumming.

Fuck yea....Pink Floyd...I love it.
Pink Floyd and I baked macaroni and cheese special for the yeti. 🫕

Google " synesthesia. " It may apply to you. Then again, it may have been the experimentation as well. Either way, it's not only you.
I guess experiences like this wasn’t enough to keep the band together 😢
The music industry has a way of really messing up people and relationships. It's the root of all evil. Money 🤑

Great audio quality
Finnaly!

Personally I like this song the most in the album.
