I love how Larry can't do a Glick impression yet Martin Short does probably the best Larry David impression ever seen on SNL
Link,?
@@21972012145525 it was in their bit "you're a rat bastard Charlie brown"

Martin Short is a living treasure. Dude is chronically funny.
I hear there's no cure for that.
He is truly the GOAT
I think he's been "Short" changed on recognition of his talent.
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Yesolutely.
I love how Marty immediately becomes an acting coach
Richo Richards Marty looks so young here and David looks the same lol
@@jennifermcgoldrick6323 I didn't realise it was an old clip until I saw Marty
Richo Richards 😂 If Larry had ever just shaved his head he wouldn't have looked 72 for two decades lol
@@jennifermcgoldrick6323 They're only 3 years apart which is crazy.
LOL! There were more impressions he wanted to teach Larry.
Love this scene mainly because Larry hates “stop and chats” but he does it to Marty here.
Marty Short is so lovable that even Larry David will go out of his way to have a stop and chat with him.
"There are more impressions that I'd love to teach you." There's no reason why this scene should work, but dammit if Martin Short isn't one charming and effortlessly funny scamp.
He was on Seinfeld’s “Comedians In Cars...” thing on Netflix or wherever. Really great episode, check it out if you haven’t seen it already.
And he can cut anyone to pieces. Watch his long interview with Conan.
It was like he was compelled to teach him more haha
Imagine if the scene went on the the whole expose was Short teaching Larry how to do voice work
Fun Fact: Martin was an eyewitness to Larry's famous rant to SNL producers, where he quit halfway through that 84-85 season (and sheepishly came back to work the next week when he realized he was blowing a weekly paycheck.)
The best part is that he pretended like nothing happened
Is there any source? Sounds funny.

@@Leon-zu1wp thanks!
That was certainly the inspiration for George's "I quit" rant hahahaha
Martin Short as Jiminy Glick is such a treasure.
The character fits him perfectly.
I have an unnaturally strong hatred for Martin Short. He's so overrated.
Jabroney Jones he’ll be devastated to hear that
@@tyson9419
1)What you smoking?
2) Can I have some please!
3) Martin Short ain't famous enough to overrated
4) Seinfeld is overrated
Glick is just an impression he's doing of some other guy. There's an old video somewhere on here of a guy doing an interview, and man is it Glick.
"there are more impersonations that I'd like to teach you."
famous last words.
Sorry there wasn’t an attack 🤣
Trying to save your life...
@@rogerpattube but..a Super 8 !
I MISS JIMINY GLICK SOO MUCH!! He certainly hasn’t lost it
AsSeenOnTV i didnt know!
Best sht ever
@AsSeenOnTV You didn't have to sound like a dickweed about it.
Oh. Right. It's you tube.
HE'S BACK.
here in 2024 he's made more appearances!
Martin Short does a spot on Larry David impression in the amazing SNL “Charlie Brown/Peanuts” sketch. What a talent!
Martin Short just becomes Larry when he does that accent. It’s incredible!
Short still looks like a teenager in alot of ways.
He is just youthful with his wonderful personality!!
Love him!! 🤗💕
It's his full hair
I love you ...baby ;)
Short is a talentless hack. Everything he has done has been cancelled or unsuccessful. But I'm sympathetic, if I was so needy for the adoration of the public id be just as unfulfilled as he always looks.
He once did a interview and when the host didn’t realise his wife had passed away he didn’t interrupt her or make her look unprofessional he just answered her question in a kind and loving way, top man and very humble.
Jiminy: (high voice) "Why is it you are so angry?! (low voice) Is it because you are a jeeeeewwww?
I remember that!!
And please let me phrase this correctly
Are we going to pretend that your people don't................ litigate?
And Jews have rage don't they?!
So now we are going to pretend that your people don't litigate?
“I’m sorry there wasn’t an attack”😂
I would totally watch Martin Short do a masterclass on his Glick character
“There are more impersonations id love to teach you”
I fucking love the character Larry made Martin short.
Larry David’s curb character has only gotten more and more funny over the years! This has got to be one of the most original funny shows on tv!
You are so right.
The magic of Curb though is the gaps between seasons. You build the appetite.
Jiminy Glick interviewing Larry David is painfully funny. I love how much these 2 are buddies.
"Larry! How are you?"
"Good! How are you doing?"
"I'm good! How are you?"
"Good!"
🤣🤣🤣
How Canadian of Martin Short to ask Larry "How are you" twice in a row 🤣🤣🤣
At first I thought it was a gag, but I think it was an editing mistake which they left in because it sounded funny.
I liked it when Larry was more reserved in his delivery, like when he's talking to the shop keeper. So much funnier, to me. The way he gets "over the top" when he meets Marty is how he would talk to the shop keeper now, in the most recent seasons.
Larry and Martin sooo classic!
Martin short is a gem
Boy, Larry and Martin were sure having fun improvising these parts.
Larry legit laughed, I’m sure it took a few takes!
J Glick is pretty, pretty, pretty good.
You were short a "pretty".
No, he's wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.
@@alanaronald244 With his four strapping boys, etc.
Loved when Jimmy Glick interviewed Larry David on Glick's show.
Imagine walking on the sidewalk and seeing this take place, legendary.
"Now you've had a stroke"...😆
He's such a great actor and real life person at the same time
You know, that store owner could've easily handed Larry the perfume when she left through the store front after she closed shop.
@r m No. This store doesn't have a back entrance. Have a great day!
Just your typical self-centred woman unfortunately.
Of course, but then we wouldn't have had the shot with the 'Closed' sign would we...you do realize this is a comedy show right...not a depiction of what real life situations could or would most likely look like...djee.
I got the impression she didn't like him.
I know right! We're living in a society!
"sorry there wasn't an attack"
2:20 When Short goes low, that sh#t’s hard to do. Cause he goes VERY low. Even with a musically-trained voice, it takes practice to get the transition from high to low to sound as seamless as Jiminy’s does.
‘There are more impersonations I’d like to teach you’
Total improv.
Can anyone believe this was 20 yrs ago?
"There's more impersonations I'd love to teach you" ... "Well.. good to see you" "Good to see you"
Jiminy Glick was the absolute best - - hysterical!
Top 10 favorite Curb Moment! Starts out really high, then goes down really low.
i love how he just nails his voice halfway through lmao
"See you have that, kind of, that flat New York thing"
Hahahaha
Martin Short - true genius!
I’ll forever know him as Clifford.
I love when comedy legends come together like this. It’s like when train lines converge at a major station.
This is such a great episode
I can never get enough Martin Short.
0:21 “I’m sorry there wasn’t an attack.” Funny as hell.
This is such a very long time ago.
For a 23 year old, it's was a loooooooong time ago
For the first time in a long time, Larry actually looks noticeably younger
Martin Short on Comedians in Cars absolutely destroyed Jerry and it was hilarious
I’m sorry there wasn’t an attack🤣🤣🤣🤣
His Larry impersonation is amazing
Sorry there wasn't a attack. Pure comedic genius.
My favorite part about this scene is how Larry yells "Marty!" with that exaggerated pose
Short’s Glick is genius. David’s David is genius.
Larry David.... comic genius extraordinaire
I can't get enough of "Ed Grimly" character. Too funny. Especially his bolero dance.😄
I don't recall him ever dancing to Bolero. Only Brahms - Hungarian Dance No. 5.
Martin Short does a pretty decent Jiminy Glick imitation.
I can't believe this aired 21 years ago, I feel so so old!
At 2:32 "you don't want to play a stroke victim cause that's..............." Hilarious!!
God I remember this. I had no idea curb was that old! I was 21.
“No that sounds like OHH MISS PIGGY!” LMAO
Martin Short great talent
"you have that flat New York thing" 😂
Wish I could have seen them do Ed Grimley
Me too! I must say!
“Marty!!!” Omg larryyyyyy
Glick and Ed Grimley are classic!!
Haha Larry's hella doggosh, focused one moment and all the sudden "IT'S MARTIN SHORT!!!"
Every single character every single actor and actress are spot-on. I think I have watched every single episode about 1000 times and I’m not joking. Does anyone know when season 11 is coming out.? I know Richard Lewis is not in the new one very sad
Martin Short and Kathrine O'hara sounds alike with that impression.
To be fair, I’d also run out of a store to see Martin Short as well
"There are more impersonations I would love to teach you"
1:33 What is it about the way he says "Buddy!" that makes me lmao. It's such a showbusiness-y way of saying it or something. 🤣
Is he saying Buddy or Marty? I always thought it was Marty but now i'm not so sure.
Larry found the fountain of elderly
Martin Short still looking great
"I'm sorry there wasn't an attack" hahahaha
@2:41 my new quote for someone who overstayed their welcome but is finally leaving
Larry David is the best comedy writer ever, period!!
Martin short low-key handsome af
Lol , who else tried to do the voice ?
Martin Short, I LOVE u :))))))) Larry, I love you too!
The accent on the flat New York thing was spot on.
There arguably wouldn't be between two ferns without glick.
There are more impressions I’d love to teach you 😂😂😂
Martin Short in Pure Luck was the first glimpse of him in the Jiminy Glick fat suit.
that impression is somewhere between Louis Armstrong and Cookie Monster
this is like a scene between 3rd graders or something. I LOVE IT!
Dont try to save her life next time lesson learned.
Martin Short is HILARIOUS
Id leave any store to meet Martin Short
Larry David is just 3 years older than Martin Short, hard to believe.
That is…extremely hard to believe. Wow. Aging is a weird thing….
I'm sure most noticed, but for those who did not, Martin Short does a pretty, pretty, pretty good "Larry David" @2:15+- in.
Martin Short is the king of passively-aggressively shitting on people until they love it. Look up him and Conan O'Brien, they talk about it alot!
I ❤️Jimminy Glick
Absolutely outstanding scene 🤣
Love me some Martin short lol
“Sorry there wasn’t an attack.”
"I'm sorry there wasn't an attack."
0:50 “Would be nice if there was a small explosion.. something where nobody got hurt.. a little.. uhh you know, a little firecracker or something”. 😅
Funny about Jiminy being original. It evolved from his "Brock Linehan" on SCTV, the supposed brother of Brian Linehan the great interviewer.
2:16 incredible impression
Now you’d had a stroke 😂
There are more impersonations I'd love to teach you.
