2 hours and 45 minutes today, plus the hours over the last week we tried every other video we found online. We updated our windows drivers and found this video while they were updating. Went step by step with what you suggested, got to where we cleared the cache (which we had tried before hand with no luck) and with the drivers updated, cache cleared, we shut it down from task manager. Restarted and tried again and the game crashed, recognized that it crashed and initiated a repair. When we tried repairing before it didn't work, but with the previous steps completed it was finally able to repair itself. Hours of scrolling and your sub-3 minute video resolved it. You got yourself a like and subscribed for this one. Love your no fat, no bs style.
This helped alot and thanks for making this. For people that bought this game on steam, right click the game and click "properties", go to the "installed files" tab and then click "verify integrity of game files." This is similar to the first solution but for steam users

I have steam version and when I hit play it runs sims 4 as a background process
Yeah that’s not gonna work like right off the bat because there is no repair option. Everything is fucking grayed out. Sims four is a fun game but the amount of stress that it puts me through and the amount of money that they charge for it and the fact that you can’t play Sims four without the fuck, and Adalyn’s Sims four is kind of a scam

@@amberbrown4267 i fixed, the only wat i could was creating another user ib my pc, then i downloaded there and works fine, you need to create another user on pc

For everyone still trying and it still doesnt work: completely delete every file from your EA app from your computer reinstal and if it sais it's already installed, click repair.
My game did this twice and I fixed it every time if this doesn't work try this. The problem for me every time was that my EA account was logged out. Make sure your EA account is logged in or every time you try to launch the game it's not going to work Lakeshore it's logged in

I don’t have the repair option on my ea there’s no repair option via steam I can’t load into my sims I press play for steam it says launching ea pops up closes and steam closes it doesn’t play so I don’t know what’s wrong

Bro I literally downloaded EA and was able to launch the game off of there but all my stuff and my families are all gone 😞😭😭 And now it runs perfectly on steam but I’ve lost all of my families, progress, CCs like what the hell!!!! Someone plz help me I’m so sad

@@itsjustally437 yeah! I downloaded epic games and made sure that my account was linked to epic games and not steam. Hopefully it works for u too
