  • Istanbul is one of the most populated cities in the world. We stayed in Uzkadar near the center of Istanbul. We escaped the crowds and enjoyed the crisp sea breeze and some fabulous views. To do so, we recommend heading to the Asian side, especially to the neighborhood of Üsküdar. It may not be on most people’s radar but we found it a lovely place to be. 🇹🇷
    .
From the boardwalk here, you’ll get a perfect view of the Maiden Tower, a tiny but significant symbol of this massive city. Located at the entrance of the Bosphorus strait, where Europe meets Asia, the original tower may have dated as far back as the 5th century BC! 🇹🇷
