Career trajectory was going that way until towards the end in Minny (loss of Saunders hurt his development, r.i.p.) Jabari - Comp was ALWAYS Melo. Inside and outside game with good handles Embiid - Olajuwon (yes even coming out of the draft this was his comp) given his footwork and elite defense. Even though Wiggins won freshman player of the year, Embiid leapfrogged him for top prospect until his injury late in the year Zach Lavine - Russell Westbrook athleticism that could shoot 😂 Julius Randle - Chris Webber play style and physicality This was the draft comps from top scouts and sites like ESPN, nbadraft, B/R, etc. Now yea Ben Simmons was getting those LeBron comps at least offensively and projecting him to have similar stat lines to Bron in his prime although that didn’t pan out due to Ben forgetting how to shoot 😂 Honestly the only one I was surprised that didn’t get it the comp much and should have was Luka

Embiid - Olajuwon (yes even coming out of the draft this was his comp) given his footwork and elite defense. Even though Wiggins won freshman player of the year, Embiid leapfrogged him for top prospect until his injury late in the year
Zach Lavine - Russell Westbrook athleticism that could shoot 😂
Julius Randle - Chris Webber play style and physicality
This was the draft comps from top scouts and sites like ESPN, nbadraft, B/R, etc.
Now yea Ben Simmons was getting those LeBron comps at least offensively and projecting him to have similar stat lines to Bron in his prime although that didn’t pan out due to Ben forgetting how to shoot 😂
Honestly the only one I was surprised that didn’t get it the comp much and should have was Luka
No shot you were big on jokic in 2014
@@michaelcinelli8793 Did I think he was going to be a top 20 (currently) all-time player and the best player in the league alongside Giannis (another current top 20 player)? Of course not haha but I knew he should've went in the first round. But I was big on foreign players then even when it still wasn't a sure thing. Saric, Nurkic, Exum I thought would be some of the best players in the draft not named Wiggins, Embiid, Parker. Of course Nurkic is decent and Saric is rotational and Exum had injuries and never panned. Now Luka I thought should've went #1 and was the best prospect since LeBron.
Ben Simmons definitely had the skillset but his mind chose otherwise
He was never similar to lebron I’ve watched him play in college.
@@stevelumumbashabazzz5087 you’re a casual if you say they don’t have tue same skillset
@@ashtonkusher433 I’ve watched him at LSU he was never like lebron. You fanboys throw the word casual anyhow
LeBron James INSANE LONGEVITY 💪🔥💪
there is something in the Simeon HS water with tearing ACL multiple times earlyy in career (Derrick Rose & Jabari Parker)
Was thinking something similar about the NBA..Tmac, penny hardaway and drose all wore number 1 and they had potential to be great NBA players..all got injured..penny n Tmac had the same jersey in Orlando..when u get a chance go RUclips - are you a good person by living waters
we don’t tolerate Darius miles slander
I really liked this video because you had facts and research behind it. Very interesting too. 🙏🏾
Its the same as calling someone "the next Messi" in football. Not sure what it is, but when that phrase is used it leads to that player completely and utterly collapsing
7:10 thats why you never take Colin’s knowledge seriously
Ben Simmons is probably the closest to Lebron when it comes to passing.
I think Wemby is the only one that's lived up to the hype. He won't be as good as LeBron, but damn he's a stud.
Jabari was gonna be that dude. Just Giannis got drafted, and he had so many injuries it couldn’t happen for him. His talent was never the question tho. I just think he was more of the Melo mold.
Wemby is most definitely the BEST prospect ever dawg, it’s not a question
Ngl Simmons was the first time I was like 👀👀 uh oh Bron🤣 seems silly now but for a brief moment!
Simmons early success became his biggest deterrent he got paid the max he's an all star so jumper don't matter
You forgot about Anthony Edwards, I remember before he was in the league everyone was saying he’d be the next lebron
I think people forget that at the time Ben Simmons already had concerns about his drive and passion
I mean he really had all the physical tools to be the next bron fr dude just didn’t have the most important thing a strong mind
Colin and his takes is something else... Man never fails to miss
Lebron is a hard worker. He knows his athleticism is fading(it's still there) so he made sure to work on his shooting. He's shooting 41% from 3 right now
who else is excited for this season
Every time same result, they got cooked. Great video brother
I still can’t believe that intro clip is real it feels like something someone would say ironically 😭😭
And I say this now with Thanasis. Hey LeBron, we’re good bro. You can go.
Parker was so nice, that early injury derailed his whole career
Great video 💯
Some of you commentating is just so confusing and weird. Big example:
“Lebron and Simmons put up only 4 points all of which, came from Lebron” ?? 😂
Great Video!
You failed to mention that Jabari Parker was a first round exit upset in the NCAA tournament against a D-2 team. #MercerBears
Talk about zion also, some preple also called him next labron and that was too funny
Jabari on sports Illustrated prolly was the last time i read a magazine. i remeber reading it like Yeah right. watch him make his way to the league. then was like "not happening, but let me see. next time i look up bucks drafted 2/3 other players that play better than him in the same position. damn hope the pressure wasn't to much
*looks at ben simmons*
"hey Lebron... Were good bro."
*sees ben shoot*
"Uhhh... Lebron yanno i was playn right?"
hahhahahah whhhhhhattttt
W video , but Should have talked about Zion
I feel like Paulo banchero has more Lebron like qualities in the recent drafts
Jabari was nice before the second injury. Another big what if
“Next Lebron” and no mention of Lance “born ready” Stevenson?
Oh, yeah that’s because he was the only one saying that. My bad.😅
Come on, it's unfair to say that Simmons hasn't put in the work. I mean haven't you guys seen his annual instagram training montage where it looks like he developed a jumper?😂
:36 compared to 3 greats all in one coming out of hs and then cementing his own legacy compared to no one we’ve ever seen and still going is crazy 🤯💯
hey just wondering what did you use to edit this video
For cowherd to say that knowing Ben wasn’t close after a 16 ppg rookie year is insane telling Lebron he can go means you wanted him gone out of hate.
Darius miles catching strays 😂
For jabari, looking at the highlights and just overall movements, he would do mid game, foreshadowed his injuries. Look at half of those landings from dunks 😅 for ben let's thank the embiid effect 💀
Bro has been in the league as long as I been alive 💀
sad part about jabari was is that he was so good but he dealt with so much injury
Hardly anyone was comparing Parker to Bron. Parker was being compared to Melo more than he was Bron. You were probably a little boy when Parker was drafted in 2014.
I bet colin wishes he could take back that take lol
The editing is getting really good
bro keep up the good work❤
The comment “we’re good bro, you can go” fits more with steph than anyone else in my opinion. Guy had everyone’s eyes on him and when dropppin buckets from deep.
Video should just be called “the two times…” lol
Wemby if he can avoid injury. Holy shit his game is crazy.
Ben Simmons really had the biggest buss ever worst then Marcus russell
Zion had the LeBron label
Players getting injured shouldn’t be considered busts!! If there playing good before injuries can’t blame em for getting hurt!! Especially for someone like Greg oden he was a beast when he played
Colin Cowherd is legendary… dude has never had a remotely good take and has been paid for years
Surprise we don’t have mini Lebron Eric Bledsoe
