    It's really not LeBron's frame or skillset that's unique, even though he maximizes it, but there's still plenty of players with these things. They just never have the discipline.
    He clearly has a vision of being able to do everything humanly possible (and not humanly possible) in a basketball game, and the others just don't share that vision.

    • @DurealzForReal
      @DurealzForReal Год назад +11

      that vision you are talking about, which is true. will become less exclusive to lebron and it already has will all the intelligent playmakers we see today. lebrons stands amongst them because of his frame, athleticism and the way he understands and leverages that to combine with his vision.

I don't see Giannis, Jokic, Embiid, Luka, Trae, Ja, Zion, Lonzo, Lamelo, Kyrie, KD, Booker, Tatum, Foxx, Dame, Steph, and Wambenya[sp] doing what Lebron has done or anything close to it. That's play 20 seasons without injuries, win multiple championships and 1 for the team that drafts you, become the top in scoring, assists and rebounds all the while playing the most playoff games, most finals appearances, and owning a conference for 10 seasons straight.

    I think one aspect about LeBron that gets overlooked is that he came into the league with a jumper, though it wasn't a great one, he still could get hot from the perimeter within his first 2 years. Other than jabari, every other "next LeBron" completely lacks a jumper altogether. I mean by 2008-09 Bron was taking and making as many 3s as kobe , tmac, melo etc. guys like ben simmons and zion would've had to be shooting around the same volume as todays star shooting guards and small forwards in amount of 3s taken by now to be on track with Bron's progression as a player. I think people see a high school star with athleticism and passing ability and immediately try to paint that player as the next LeBron when in reality LeBron had more than that coming out of high school.

    • @jasonredic9457
      @jasonredic9457 Год назад +13

      Overlooked asf. LeBron's jumper is not wet like Kobe's but he still shot about the same percentage as TMac from midrange.

      Absolutely nobody has missed anything about LeBron, bruh. He's 21 years into his career and he has been in the forefront of the NBA media that whole time. Part of the reason he was so hyped was because he had a decent jumpshot when he came in on top all the other stuff. He has has a pullup middie and three point range since middle school, so you don't need to explain any scouting reports on him anymore.

    • @ninjachannel007
      @ninjachannel007 11 месяцев назад +3

      @@jasonredic9457 LeBron is and always has been a better three point shooter than Kobe Bryant. Casuals like Kobe's jumper because it looks better when he makes it in people's faces, and LeBron's wide-shouldered shot has always been ugly. But by the numbers he has taken way more threes and made more threes PER GAME than Kobe at a higher percentage. And this is was under the same 1-man offense circumstances before anybody says anything dumb about Kobe needing to take bad shots on bad Laker teams. Shot selection is part of being a good shooter, and LeBron had LESS help in Cleveland while Kobe was making his 2nd run w/Pau.

      The NBA paid 1 Milllion $ to have the right to play Metz 92, Victor Wembanyama team’s last season, so i’d say Victor had/has just as much hype, he had guys like Travis Scott coming at his game in Paris, taking pictures with him like he is the star .. And the whole NBA was fascinated, from Lebron to KD, Curry, Giannis, Dame, Trae Young ect, i know Iverson said things like « Lebron look like a bigger me » ect and other players were impressed but i don’t think the whole league, like all the Top players were talking about him like the next big thing.
      So i think Wemby just got as much hype, the only difference is that he isnt American, and that’s a big difference because if he was American Wemby would have surpass Lebron hype by far, the guy dominated a grown man league last season, lead the league in pts, rebounds and Block, won MVP and DPOY lol, if he played in College he would’ve averaged 35ppg, 15 boards, 2-3 steals and 7-8 Blocks 😂

    It blows my mind how every 2 years the media thinks we have another LeBron. We never will, there will NEVER be another LeBron James.
    It might sound corny and played out but he is the most unique player in nba history. Not only is he an athletic freak genetically with the durability of a 1997 Honda Civic but his intelligence on the court is unlike anything we’ve ever seen. To have someone 6’9” with the highest basketball IQ in NBA history by a wide margin that has dedicated their entire life to this sport and through 21+ NBA seasons still loves the game just as much as the first time he touched a basketball is just so incredible. I’m so honored I was alive to watch LeBrons career.
    At 18 years old this man came out of high school deemed the chosen one with expectations we couldn’t have ever dreamed of yet he not only lived up to the highest expectations of any athlete in sports history but he exceeded them.
    And no, I’m not “a bronsexual” in fact, I’d say I borderline hate the man😂 I watched him knock my Celtics out of the playoffs more times than I’d care to admit but you know why I hate him? Because he is so ridiculously great at playing basketball. Hating an athlete because of how good they are is honestly a huge compliment. I just feel bad for all the LeBron haters that have wasted all this time trashing him to make their favorite player look better because when this man retires I promise, you will regret taking him for granted. Having followed the draft in those years closely, especially 2014 (I was big on Wiggins,Embiid and Jokic among others) I can say there was NEVER a draft comparison between Jabari and LeBron.
    Also, Jabari was consistently the top prospect in high school until Wiggins re-classed. In college it was always Wiggins 1 and Jabari 2 until JoJo (Embiid) started to shine. I can give you the exact comparison of the 3 and even other standouts in the lottery.
    Wiggins - Comp was T-Mac and Paul George (way early PG played). Career trajectory was going that way until towards the end in Minny (loss of Saunders hurt his development, r.i.p.)
    Jabari - Comp was ALWAYS Melo. Inside and outside game with good handles
    Embiid - Olajuwon (yes even coming out of the draft this was his comp) given his footwork and elite defense. Even though Wiggins won freshman player of the year, Embiid leapfrogged him for top prospect until his injury late in the year
    Zach Lavine - Russell Westbrook athleticism that could shoot 😂
    Julius Randle - Chris Webber play style and physicality
    This was the draft comps from top scouts and sites like ESPN, nbadraft, B/R, etc.
    Now yea Ben Simmons was getting those LeBron comps at least offensively and projecting him to have similar stat lines to Bron in his prime although that didn’t pan out due to Ben forgetting how to shoot 😂
    Honestly the only one I was surprised that didn’t get it the comp much and should have was Luka

      @@michaelcinelli8793 Did I think he was going to be a top 20 (currently) all-time player and the best player in the league alongside Giannis (another current top 20 player)? Of course not haha but I knew he should've went in the first round. But I was big on foreign players then even when it still wasn't a sure thing. Saric, Nurkic, Exum I thought would be some of the best players in the draft not named Wiggins, Embiid, Parker. Of course Nurkic is decent and Saric is rotational and Exum had injuries and never panned. Now Luka I thought should've went #1 and was the best prospect since LeBron.
