  • Installed the latest 034Motorsport Stage 1 tune on the RS5 Quattro, and she pulls harder than ever! In this video we perform the ECU/TCU software upgrade, take her for a test drive in the hills, and don't worry there is a bountiful goodness of turbo engine noises and loud exhaust pops. It is truly amazing how good the stock system can sound with a simple front resonator delete, exhaust valve bypass circuits, and a flash tune from 034Motorsports!

    Updates to the tune for the 1.3.1 revision include:
    - Torque-Based Coolant Reductions Based on Downstream Coolant Temperature Measurement.
    - Torque-Based Oil Temp Reduction Based on Oil Sump Temperature Measurement
    - Moment Reserve for Launch Tweaked for Improved Launch Strategy
    - Ignition Coil Dwell Time Optimized

    Hey brother. Just ran across your video when searching for rs5 stage 1 tunes. Absolutely beautiful spec you got there. That nardo is exceptional and really accentuates the stock bodylines. I have a b9 RS5 with IE stage 1 93 oct and AWE touring non-res turbo back exhaust, and it crackles even in comfort mode. IE is better through the rpm range. I have a lot more mods, but just trying to keep it simple.

    Have you done anything to the diverter valves?
    My 19 recently started struggling to hold boost on launch and i think the seal near the intercooler may be bad

    Hey, enjoy your videos, thanks for posting these. Quick question: did you notice a big difference going from stock to 034 91 stage 1? I can’t get 93 and want to try e85 later but that’s not available everywhere so 91 would be easier. Not a lot of HP increase and just wondering if you’d recommend this tune.
    Was this video with the TCU stage 1 or the upgraded stage 2?Thank you

    • @SpeedcraftGarage
      @SpeedcraftGarage  6 месяцев назад

      Hi! Thanks for watching the vids, I'm glad you enjoy them. As for the tune, in this video it is on the Stage 1 TCU and 91 oct. The power gain isnt huge, but the car is quicker 0-60 as proven in the dragy tests I did. You'll find the throttle response to be much more linear, which initially made the car feel slightly slower to me under normal driving, but that is because instead of the car being at almost wide open throttle at 60% pedal with the factory tune, it now doesnt hit WOT until pedal application is near 100%, which is exactly what you want for better throttle control over the entire range. You will however notice a big difference in exhaust sound if you enable crackles, which I like. I hope this helps!!

  • @bradsinanan5164

    What’s the difference between the 91 RI 3.1 and the 93 RI 3.1? Which one did you flash?

    • @SpeedcraftGarage
      @SpeedcraftGarage  12 дней назад

      @@bradsinanan5164 Hi. The 93 tune provides 30 more HP and TQ over the 91 tune. 91 octane is what they sell in my state, so 91 R1 3.1 is what I flashed on the car in this video. I have since put the car on E85 which provides even more power than the 93 tune. I hope answers your question.

    • @SpeedcraftGarage

    • @bradsinanan5164
      @bradsinanan5164 12 дней назад

      Do you think it’s better to flash the stage 2 tcu and skip the stage 1

    • @SpeedcraftGarage
      @SpeedcraftGarage  12 дней назад

      I believe the only way to get the Stage 1 ECU tune is in the bundle with the Stage 1 TCU, and you have to get the Stage 2 TCU afterwards, but I recommend emailing 034Motorsport to see if they would sell the Stage 1 ECU bundled with the Stage 2 TCU. If they would do it that way it'll cost you less money in the long run. The Stage 1 TCU tune is great, but if you want to get the absolute maximum performance out of your transmission, go with Stage 2.

      @SpeedcraftGarage  8 месяцев назад +1

      Technically you could switch over to 034 if you really wanted to 😜 The time gain was a comparison to the first revision. Unfortunately all the dragy videos from the day wouldn't offload when we got back, and I had already filmed the outro. Had to reinstall the app, so fingers crossed it works proper in future videos. Anyways, these were the numbers(see below). There is a RUclips Short posted on our channel with dragy video right after the first flash from stock if you want to compare those numbers to the ones below.
