Well, Kenny, here I am diagnosed with incurable cancer, fighting valiantly for joy and grace in the predicted year or so I have left… it’s been such a life of suffering, but in the last five years I’ve learned so much from healers like you. There is no LIFE without Truth, and yet it can be a TERRIBLE thing to face reality head on. But without this brave act, we cannot become whole, can we? I wish that I could talk with you, might learn your wisdom and that it might somehow ease the terrible knowledge of a life spent enmeshed with people who never loved or even saw me. That one hit hard. Was curious and thought I already know the topic. Thank you for sharing a part of your story. It helps a lot and I can relate to so many things.
I am 47 now, weeping and now you just told me where I am stuck since over a year now after decades of depression - you dig out some bits which where sitting in my blind spot. I came so far in the way of healing, left my family long time ago, changed my depression from a dark one to a white one (without the bad thoughts, but still coping mechanisms working), I found my inner child... but I couldn't find over a year the the point why I am so unmovable stuck and don't seek help, but totally knowing I should, but somehow I hold me back and live like a hermit in my apartment and couldn't activate my passions and creativity I got so much time for...
I can't value me, because I am still the child that was never seen. So how could I see a grown man i am looking for, seeking for - when he is still not grown yet?

Sport skydiver here. Well, when in my 30s, 40 years ago, and physically able for it. Kenny is right. You can't deliberately skydive without going through profound physical, visceral terror. Even the skygods, with thousands of jumps, get major adrenal rush from jumping, lasting for hours. Wonderful fun. Well for some of us. Ah! Thanks for the reminder!! 😁😁😁

Yes, his book demonstrates the worst day cycle and how he is reliving his horrific childhood abuse against himself. He has confused self-empowerment with self-abuse.
@@kennyweissI was wondering about this as I was watching one of your previous videos, specifically with regards to David Goggins. Really interesting to see your insight about it directly. It’s a book that I’ve often been tempted to pick up, yet after one of your other videos, I took a pause and reconsidered whether it was an example of helpful and hopeful healing, or maladaptive coping and self-punishment. Regardless of what his truth may be, sending healing wishes to all. Thank you for sharing your insights.
@@kennyweissI’ve tried to articulate to many military friends that idolize Goggins that self abuse isn’t empowerment. Unfortunately, for many of them the only time they achieve a semblance of self worth is through that self imposed abuse.

It is just sad.We are all messy broken people. No one gets out of here clean. I wonder if people just wouldn't have children because of these videos. I don't know if parents could ever be successful. I had selfish parents. My parents had selfish parents. I forgive my parents because I am a parent. I work on myself. We all suck at this and we are all just trying to get through this thing called life. Look to Jesus. He is the only way out.
