    @your comment around 5:40- this can be explained because when you boost the EQ signal, the compressor respond stronger to the loudest frequencies coming through. This results in squashing the boosted high frequencies.

    Hi sean. Do u have any tutorial about flex pitch? I would like to know if is possible to copy the correction from one audio to another

    • @SeanDivine
      @SeanDivine  7 лет назад +1

      I'll see if I can get something up on flex pitch soon! As far as I know, it would be tough to just copy the settings unless the takes are absolutely identical. Flex pitch is unique to the audio track.

    If you couldn’t respond I’d really appreaciate it, what mic were you using during this? Do you like Rode NT1? Honest opinion on it

    • @SeanDivine
      @SeanDivine  3 года назад

      sm7b... and yes, I still use an NT1 all the time. it's a sensitive mic though, so if your room sounds trash, it will be obvious

    i looked through a couple comments and didnt see this question..why are the tracks in stereo and not mono?

    • @SeanDivine
      @SeanDivine  6 лет назад

      they're not stereo, actually dual mono (essentially mono but it's the way they were recorded)

    @SeanDivine not sure if you did a tutorial on this but how would you mix a bright thin vocal to give it a full roundness with some color and little low end for a rapper that has a brighter vocal tone that sounds thin before the mix?

    Can someone explain to me why hes using the EQ and DeEsser in Stereo? Thought when you mix vocals it should be in Mono?

    • @SeanDivine
      @SeanDivine  3 года назад

      it's to give you flexibility in your chain to use stereo effects (i.e. delays, reverbs, spatial effects), the vocal track itself is still mono

  • @mistysmith7183

    You ever try this same trick with the puigtec and boosting at 10 to 12k super super clean.

    • @SeanDivine
      @SeanDivine  5 лет назад

      sure do! that's another one of my favorite EQs 👍

    • @SeanDivine

  • @RobNollan

    Great video man... But I was wondering how do you direct send the eq to the deesser? Did you create a bus or what?

    • @knlv9672
      @knlv9672 7 лет назад +4

      I think don't quote me, but just add the DeEsser after the EQ on the same mixer tab.

    • @SeanDivine
      @SeanDivine  7 лет назад +6

      correct. I'm using a bus here and it's just EQ -> Deesser on the inserts

    Everytime i eq my vocals it stills sounds buzzy and hummy kinda even tho i eq the lows

    • @HeyMcFli

      Young Ace when you remove lows the highs become more apparent try feeding after eq then compress some
