@your comment around 5:40- this can be explained because when you boost the EQ signal, the compressor respond stronger to the loudest frequencies coming through. This results in squashing the boosted high frequencies.
I'll see if I can get something up on flex pitch soon! As far as I know, it would be tough to just copy the settings unless the takes are absolutely identical. Flex pitch is unique to the audio track.
Just starting out and l see so many videos with never ending plugins! On One video this guy had more then 20 plugins for just his voice but you have four and it sounds just as good!... thank you for sharing your awesome video
@SeanDivine not sure if you did a tutorial on this but how would you mix a bright thin vocal to give it a full roundness with some color and little low end for a rapper that has a brighter vocal tone that sounds thin before the mix?
Wats up Sean..sent u a lot of messages on instagram but youcheckchesubscriber of yours..please try and ch never care to reply...I love your videos a subscrib

Sean! Good time, thanks for your videos! I have request, pls ON subtitles!)
i know you mentioned doing it in one of your vids, havent seen it up here yet.... MID SIDE PROCESSING TUTORIAL PLZ lol
I really like your videos! Are you going to make some live mixing videos?
possibly :)
Superrrb... Can you show best Eq For AKG P420 microphone ??
couldnt really tell on the female vocals with all the effects on her voice but i would love to know how to get that effect that was used on her voice
If you couldn’t respond I’d really appreaciate it, what mic were you using during this? Do you like Rode NT1? Honest opinion on it
sm7b... and yes, I still use an NT1 all the time. it's a sensitive mic though, so if your room sounds trash, it will be obvious
💯
i looked through a couple comments and didnt see this question..why are the tracks in stereo and not mono?
they're not stereo, actually dual mono (essentially mono but it's the way they were recorded)
on the deesser why is your sidechain a slope instead of the other one
Thanks :)
nice man
I have only stock plug-ins, is it possible with stock plugins
definitely! There will be subtle differences in the interfaces / sound but the general approach will stay the same
Yo that song 🔥🔥🔥Tho
:)

Need mac? Or there is somewhere way to use that on windows?
Can someone explain to me why hes using the EQ and DeEsser in Stereo? Thought when you mix vocals it should be in Mono?
it's to give you flexibility in your chain to use stereo effects (i.e. delays, reverbs, spatial effects), the vocal track itself is still mono
You ever try this same trick with the puigtec and boosting at 10 to 12k super super clean.
sure do! that's another one of my favorite EQs 👍
When to use this trick after compressor or before compressor
I do additive EQ and de-essing after compression
What mic/pream did you use for those vocals?
I don't have mcdsp plugins...cant affront but what can I use to replace the analog channel strip
what daw do you use? And you dont need to have a channel strip, just eq and dsr.
Great video man... But I was wondering how do you direct send the eq to the deesser? Did you create a bus or what?
I think don't quote me, but just add the DeEsser after the EQ on the same mixer tab.
correct. I'm using a bus here and it's just EQ -> Deesser on the inserts
Sean Divine Thanks man. Keep up the great work... your videos are very informative and easy to apply into any session.
i ding quite get it, he creates a group channel with an eq and then sends a de-esser??
which mic and iterface used??
Everytime i eq my vocals it stills sounds buzzy and hummy kinda even tho i eq the lows
Young Ace when you remove lows the highs become more apparent try feeding after eq then compress some
Is this a raw vocal?
he looks like San holo!
Jeezus your opening killed my ears haha
mix mastering my vocals please :(
I know this don’t pertain to the video but your intro song sounds like something stew Grizzly would rap on

The vocals really are overpowering the music imo.
Songs horrible😫
