The thing is that the sidebar should NOT be an automatic table of contents. It's clumsy and clutterful - and some contents serve no purpose on the sidebar. For example, if a page has a database view, the view automatically shows in the sidebar. It should be possible to not show such resources on the sidebar. If no subpages or resources exist, no dropdown arrow should appear. Furthermore, if you reorganize subpages on the sidebar, the content inside the page gets reshuffled. And vice-versa. The sidebar should be used for elegant navigation, not thorough content information, and this means that an admin should be able to curate the sidebar content independently from the page contents.
Still begging notion to let me organize my top pages on the sidebar. Almost all of my pages are private, and they're for different things that I add throughout the week. I just have a jumble of stuff that is so unorganized because I don't feel like everything needs to be a subpage, especially if there's only 2 or 3 pages I have that fall into the same category. At this point the favorites bar is going to be used to organize my things, which counteracts the entire point of having a favorites bar! I use notion on my phone and tablet, and I would really love it if this was more efficient. With the slow loading and occasional deleting of things after it DOES load, I feel like this would make me more inclined to use it for more areas of my life
It was a big disappointment for me that there were no Turkish subtitles in the video describing such a beautiful application. Can you add Turkish subtitles as soon as possible? Please reply to this comment when you add it.
