No problem thanks for watching - yes - exporting stuff from Notion is not that easy - but I do know they recently updated their import options - so hoping we will done have good ways to export Notion Database content to use elsewhere. :) Simon
Amazing content. I just switched from Evernote and want to better understand how to use Notion but in a similar way to how are used Evernote. It looks like how you described. Your life OS notebook system would be best for me. I couldn’t find that template on your website. Which one is it?

I have just downloaded the task manager to get started learning Notion . Will I be able to import projects and tasks into the simplified notion template when it is launched?
Thank you for adressing one of the main point of those systems, the 1 or 2 DB for notes / ressources or clipping. Still struggle to figure one or the other on my end
It feels weird to have information at 2 differnt levels (one in the ressource, one in the notes)
Sure - If you want it all in one place - I would just use a knowledge / clippings DB and put it all in that database with personal notes too :)

Hey Simon. A little late to the video here but I’m curious if you see value in making a video creating a system to track house chores. I’d be interested in learn how to schedule takes the occur daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly. Ideally these tasks would auto populate into some due task (due chores) database on the day they are due. There doesn’t seem to be too much content that’s actually helpful on the internet. Just thought I would put a bug in your ear.
I have a Notion Template to schedule Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual house chores all based on the Clean Mama philosophy
I just have mine n task list but also goes on calendar automatically, Absolutely works for me ,,love it, laundry day tomorrow
I want to build a knowledge/note database not knowing in advance how it will be used or how exactly I will want to structure it. So what I wanted to see in this video was a simple demonstration of making the actual note. The actual entry of the content of a note seemed to be just glossed over in this video. The first 8 minutes seemed to be irrelevant as I expect that structure to be built into the Life OS. I hope it is. The video then got very complicated with all the possible relationships that could be used. Maybe a slower, simpler introduction to notes is what I need even playing this at 75 or 50% speed.
All this time to organize and organize forever notes with complex feature. Question is do you read back your notes ?
Now it’s made, I honestly find this saves me hours. Yes: I connect notes and clippings to planned RUclips video scripts, theatre projects I’m researching for etc etc: they just show up in that project page and I can reference and quote them from there. Very helpful for my use case. :)
The main problem is that taking notes takes up too much time. I spend 50% of my time at work just taking notes. That's why I quit taking notes instead of quitting my job. 😅
Sure - I feel you - no need to take notes for the sake of it! You gotta know the purpose! I try to only note things I can see a purpose for: and link them to the output they might serve. Otherwise it’s just hoarding and clutter I think

Haha, I think you may be confusing my business with my life. I made a few big templates and some videos to help people get organised so they can do just that: focus on living, rather than trying to keep track of everything. many people suffer from overwhelm with keeping track of tasks and parts of life: these templates help! If it helps - I’m currently directing a Christmas show and off to teach people to fly on a wire! Haha! Cheers.
