Thanks pal: yes; it’s my icon pack for iOS and Notion - see link in description: I’ve got a full guide of how to do it here (it’s a bit of a shortcuts hack - but I love it) :)
Up to you - you would get get access to the 2024 update when it’s ready around start of April as per last year - so could be good to wait for cleanness: but fine to jump in and learn the basics too! :) thanks!
Many people are so buried in the entourage of productivity apps and planning their lives inside gadgets that they spend more time on this than they do on their real lifes…
Completely agree - tools are not important, the thinking is. But my aim here is to offer a very simple set of ideas that might make life a little easier :)
I'm watching this video thinking.... "Just call and make the haircut appointment!" I realize it's just an example, but why do I need to track myself to do things that take 60 seconds to do.
Integrating a Tasks database into Notion Cal is great for time blocking stuff out, and you can set reminders in the do date column directly in Notion : but I believe the best option is to have a solid routine of setting the day, reviewing the week and using a system with a habitual pattern: I share my process in my Simplified Notion tour video here: ruclips.net/video/XPkFweNqYO0/видео.htmlsi=m0O3sl_aRqsZp2ZQ
Great video! Thanks for your time. On your habits page in the top right, you have a note about repeating 'Today' automatically. And, you reference how it'll track a day even when you don't complete any habits. I'm having a hard time creating that automation. Do you have a video that explains that feature in a bit more detail? Thanks in advance.
I finished it yesterday - have been waiting for the Notion Cal release before completing :) I'm now working on the built-in guide and video for it and so should be ready in the next few weeks! woop
Very informative video! Thanks for sharing and explaining in a very detailed and simple way at the same time. I have a question in regard of your setup. What keyboard do you use?
Great video. Never heard of NOTION before. Your video is very detailed and full of good tips. Your video also looks very professionally made. What video editor did you use? Kindest regards
i was just looking for inspiration to update my notion system and this video came at the perfect time! i especially love how simple your quick capture method is
@BetterCreating But in real time, what i mean is maybe i want to be a video editor and i complete simply daily tasks that helps me level up from beginner to pro as a video editor . The way one levels up in video games.
I really find notion as a overhyped and complicated system as a student. All I do is write down the deadlines on my phone and then mark them on my google calendar and work accordingly as that works for me, but I would still like to try it sometime soon and see if it is going to be of any help to increase my productivity.
Totally! You have to keep it simple and relevant to you so you get something from it. But I would say - when you find / build the right system - it can be a great solution!
Great video. Can I ask another probably dumb question? On your MY INBOX | QUICK DROP page you have a tabbed table view with each tab seemingly linked to a different database. How did you do that? Have you covered that in a tutorial video? Thanks again for the inspiration and info!
Thanks my friend. Exactly. I always create a series of master databases and then create /table views of them in dashboards for the system. So for inboxes, you just select a view of each database as a new tab! Awesome. See my Notion from scratch playlist for builds with a step by step or download the free task manager and see how I did it! 👍
If I am only using Notion for personal use (I am neither a freelancer nor running my own business), would the Notion Life OS be the right package for me? (Ie I don’t need to go for the The Complete Life OS bundle) In addition, would the Notion Life OS also include the Notion Design Pack? The reason I am asking is I am also interested in getting the iOS design pack and If so, I would just go for the Minimal iOS Design Pack 2023, and there is no need to purchase the iOS and Notion Design Pack.
Ah thanks for your interest in this. Yep - Notion life OS would be a good bet, and includes the icons currently. But you might actually enjoy my new Simplified Notion template I’ll be releasing in a few weeks with a bunch of these new features in. If you can wait - maybe try my free task manager for now and hold on for that :)
Hi Simon I have been following you since 2022 and was curious to know if you have planned to give for free the Notion Life OS(even older versions) for students and those who can't afford it. meanwhile please let us know if you're putting any notion courses in youtube or any other platform. We'll highly appreciate that. thanks
Let’s not get caught up in semantics here: title your projects what you feel; it’s a place to group related tasks and to link into that is relevant (not to be confused with an Area or Resource. For Mose Productivity would be an area or resource most likely, but maybe it’s someone writing a knowledge project called coded ‘productivity’…
@@BetterCreating thanks I missed that in the email. I bought both bundles of templates and have been working on building them out this week. A lot to digest but enjoying taking it on a step at a time.
I really want to start learning how to use notion. Seems really good. However you speak of ending overwhelming. This does not do it for me at all. I’m sorry. I don’t see the simplicity what so ever.
Sorry to hear that, I’d go to some of my subject specific videos for a simpler and more focused look at specifics in Notion, this was more of a taster menu! Ha.
This is insane, and I'm pretty sure I'm witnessing mental illness! That being said, cuz it is how I feel rn, I will check out that playlist and see if this is even feasible.
Poor choice of words. Non-the-less: This is a Notion expert building tools for others, particularly those who find holding things in their head difficult. Notion for beginners and building yourself: start simple & you might prefer this video by the sounds of it: ruclips.net/video/l0P6SPZOI-U/видео.htmlsi=r9FlFrLu_tWET5YU
Yeah, it’s a sponsored video as I state at the top and and an overview of my current Notion ideas. I offer build videos on all of it so people can make this stuff themselves for free, free templates too, and I would argue the templates are very fair for the value they offer with lifetime updates. Sorry you didn’t enjoy it, and I hope you enjoy some of my other videos more in future.

Where can I find instructions on how to add the "Quick Drop" feature to the existing Life OS system?
I have said it before but your production elements are so much vibe as the kids would say. You inspire me every day.
Haha, thanks! I’m enjoying making stuff simple this year!
Bro you have a very phone set up here 1:46 can you please make a video tutorial on how you did it? And what widgets did you use?

The quick drop inbox is a game changer for me!! Thank you so much for sharing all these tips & tricks. 🙌
You're so welcome!
Thanks for the useful tips! Loving the drag and drop feature of that inbox page. 😍 Will be implementing that in my workflow.
Glad it was helpful! Yeah I love that :)
Thanks for this video. Although I am new to notion. Do you have a step by step tutorial on how to make the quick drop inbox page?
begining notion, thanks for the video, what is you keyboard 😍
No problem! Checkout my Desk setup videos - Keyboards are there :)

Sure. Just create a database template called @today. Set the template to repeat each day in the database template settings. Done! :)

Hello, I am impressed by your template on habit tracker, goal setting and prompted. I don't see a link to purchase this part, could you teach me how?
I think I found it. Thank you for your helpful contents.
Thanks Kevin: yes - I would go to www.bettercreating.com/notionhabittracker and select the Habit Journal option :)
Brilliant video! glad I found you and your channel :)
Welcome and thanks!
Can you build a notion template that help one to level up like solo levelling
Can you elaborated on what you mean by ‘solo levelling’?
@BetterCreating Okay, it is from an anime in which the character completes and gives him "xp" like in games .
@BetterCreating But in real time, what i mean is maybe i want to be a video editor and i complete simply daily tasks that helps me level up from beginner to pro as a video editor . The way one levels up in video games.
@@oluwadamilolaodidiomo-db8dz On the notion template page I do see a gaming like template, by completing each task, you gain exp+1000 etc.
Great video, thanks! I love Notion. I've recently also discovered Capacities and it seems to stick even more with my ADHD brain.
Great stuff - welcome to the channel and community! :)
Does anyone know how he is making those charts? Looks cool af
I think he has mentioned it in a few videos. But the most recent one (before this one) on habit tracking, he mentions the page
