    You're my kind of teacher. I'm brand new to Notion (I learned of its existence days ago) and this is the first video of yours I've seen after watching a lot of tutorials. I really like how this flowed and you go into just enough depth without making things too complicated. So, as a brand new user to Notion, I'd say you're THE Notion guy.
    Thanks very much for this video! I'm looking forward to watching more and learning about the powerhouse that is Notion!

    Excellent, excellent tutorial. Thank you. I run a college career services office and I recently learned that Notion provides students and faculty with free premium Notion accounts. I gave it a shot a few months ago, but it looked way too complicated. Luckily, I found your videos because I am now officially hooked. This application is so versatile and powerful. I'm working with faculty to introduce this tool to freshmen. I'm also planning to teach students how to use Notion for managing their job search pursuits. Our team will also be using Notion to plan our annual job fair. All of this came to fruition from your generosity here because I would have never been able to learn this on my own. I looked up several other tutorials, but yours are head and shoulders above the rest. Thank you again!

    Just wanted to say thank you for all of the videos. I am brand new to notion and haven't even set anything up yet, but have a million things I want to organize within it and your videos are teaching me, as well as giving me better ideas on how to sort my thoughts. As someone with ADD, I get distracted very easily and have a habit of not finishing what I start, so I'm hoping notion will be able to help with this. I look forward to more videos from you, as well as watching your previous videos.

    Love this in-depth tutorial. Also: For anyone that can't see their database templates (in this video 30:35) when wanting to link databases (filter 'Where Project Contains...'): the only way I've been able to get around this is by creating multiple templates and manually selecting whichever template corresponds. And then of course making sure the databases have property views of the other. Yes it's annoying and yes I've tried everything including deleting all data and creating a template from scratch. If anyone has any other solutions please feel free to let me know

      I do have Zettlekasten on my list of potential topics, though I think it's pretty hard to implement due to the lack of an unlinked references feature like the one found in Obsidian or Roam. You can do a Luhman-style slip box manually though, and the page-level backlinks can help things somewhat!

    I was kinda let down by how I couldn't assign a value to, say, each multi-select option. For example, option 1 is 100 points, option 2 is 1000 points, and so on. Just as I was looking for a solution, you introduced Formulas. I'm blown away now.

    • @ThomasFrankExplains
      @ThomasFrankExplains  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, you can totally do that with formulas! Try using the at() function for it; that way, you can define the point values by the positions of the options in the multi-select property's list. That can be helpful if you ever want to rename them.
