Happy days!
Asparagus season here in Spain. Just got a fat basil plant from the market and the lemons on the tree in the garden are bursting with flavour.
Thanks for another simple and excellent recipe.
Picked some asparagus today and came to RUclips to check for pasta + asparagus recipes. I chose the picture that looked best and it was you. I've been watching your videos steadily since I discovered your channel this year and again, you do not disappoint. Delicious!
You are truly an unrecognized talent! I made this for supper this evening. It was awesome! It's amazing how fast it comes together and it's so light and almost refreshing for a warm July night in the south. I predict you will very soon become a big star!
I was just blessed with the best basil I've ever encountered in my life and I used 1/4 of what I got on a caprese salad, I was wondering what I should do with the rest and decided to search sip and feast, low and behold I found this and it's asparagus season right now so I can't wait to try this!
Made this other day. Had to stop by and let you know it was so delicious and easy. Family loved it. Now on rotation. Thank you!
All the green in this looks great. Perfect for spring/summer.
Thanks very much!
I've never seen asparagus sliced this way...gorgeous!
Thank you! I love how it mixes with the spaghetti/linguine.
Can’t wait to make this with my fresh picked asparagus!!! Thanks for the great channel, ❤️ y’all, Kristy in Missouri 😃🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
OMG that’s another simple clean winner. You’re killing me. I want to cook them all right now!
Thanks so much!
Excellent recipe. I only had sugar snap peas, but with everything fresh from the garden and good quality cheese it was amazing!
Just made this . Really good. Going to start making this regularly.
Tried lemon, parmegiano and pasta a few weeks ago and I was surprised how parmegiano and lemon have something magic when they are combined !
I’ll try your recipe next time :D
Wonderful recipe, really was scepticic about lemon and pasta, but OMG it is glorious idea. Rly delicious food
As always, great recipe, beautifully presented! Added some domestic sautéed shrimp for a great meal!
Just made it 15mins ago. Best lemon basil pasta recipe ever. Even beating those chefs. Lemon juice & zest, always off the heat so they don't turn bitter. Thanks soooo much!!! Obviously, i'm a beginner cook, at 50yo. Never too late to eat well when your boomer parents never taught you any life skills but processed food shopping!!!
WOW!
I like how practical he is
Thank you man!
Mmmmm ... you had me at 🍋!
This is going on my Summer menu, thanks bud 😉
Thanks! Hope you enjoy it!
I made this for dinner tonight. It was delicious. Simple simple. Thanks.
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks Jim! Great combination. One of my favorite spring things is asparagus! Love it!
Thanks again Marty!
Thank you for posting these videos man. Everything you cook looks amazing. I never made Sunday gravy before until this past Easter. Took me 12 hours to make. But thanks to you and a few other similar videos on sunday gravy I found on RUclips, it turned out amazing. My family and friends said it was the best Italian food they've ever had in their life. So thank you for posting these videos man. I've learned a lot from them and I'm sure many other people have too. Keep up the good work and god bless man.
I appreciate the feedback and am glad you're learning a few things. That's great that everyone enjoyed your Easter dinner. Thanks for watching and liking my videos!
This is the first dish I ever made of yours and it was sooooo delicious and so easy to make too....You cook like me , I don't really measure anything , I eye ball it...always comes out great !!! My Sicilian mother taught me that one, she never measured anything either !!!
Thank you and so happy you enjoyed this one!

oh man this gave me flash backs. I used to work on a farm in italy and I picked these tiny wild asparagus to make this pasta... they took SO long to gather lol
Love your channel😊 Watched this earlier today and made this for dinner. We gave it a 10 and it now our favorite go to hot summer dish!
Tomorrows lunch. Perfect light dish for summer!
This looks like a nice Summer dish. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Nancy!
I enjoy watching your videos. I like the pastas that utilize a vegetable to add to the dish like yoru cherry tomatoes, broccoli and even asparagus. Simple sauce and just something I’d eat during summer and other seasons.
fancy! would b impressive for guests never would have known to add that much basil thanks!
Thank you! I think a lot of fresh basil is nice on this one, but add as little or as much you like.
huge fan of your channel... and pasta. This will be a great alternative as my wife does not equally share my passion for red sauce. Keep up the great work! thank you.
Thank you man! Hope you both enjoy it!
This looks so good! We’ve been getting some really good asparagus lately. Must give this a try!
Thanks! Now is the best time for asparagus dishes. Hope you enjoy it!

Thank you man! Hope you guys enjoy it!
Thanks for the video! Making this later this week!
Thanks! Hope you enjoy it!
You need a slightly bigger pan. That is a seriously big honkin' cheese. This looks so good. I'm glad you're finally making quick meals. Thanks for sharing the recipe. S'more please.
😋 yummy!
Very nice.. Well done.. Thanks for sharing..
Thanks very much!
Love this one! Reminds me of my aunt Mary she made perfectly! Would like to see you make a primavera please, when you can. Thanks for all the great videos!
Primavera is on the list. I'll do it this summer I think. Thanks for liking the videos!
Thanks for posting! We are giving this a try tomorrow. Sunday will be Sunday sauce with your lasagna again. Best lasagna my wife and I have made following your recipes.
Thank you! Hope you enjoy this one and I'm glad you both love the lasagna. You're making me want to make it now haha.
Nice!
Yum
I'll be eating this on my deck this summer. Thx!
Thanks! Hope you enjoy it!
meraviglioso piatto di pasta( wonderful pasta dish in case you don't speak Italian LOL) and still new to your channel and loving it.. I'm really curious to see how you make pasta piselli AKA pasta with peas. I'm Sicilian and my husband is napolitani. I have never seen anyone make pasta and peas the way we do so I'm curious to see how you make it! Keep the great videos coming
I like your solid olive oil drizzling right from the 2-litre bottle! That's what I also do sometimes, cheers to generous cooking!
Thanks! Generous cooking all the way on this channel lol.
Yum 🤤
Yet another pasta dish going on the Pasta Thursday menu! Great job James!
Thanks man! Glad you're making the recipes and would love to hear how it turns out for you!
@@SipandFeast I used bucatini instead of spaghetti because I was put...eh...should havebused spaghetti but the flavor was great. Wife loved it. Definitely do it again
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it.
Looks delicious Jim! I like the idea of cutting the asparagus like that, as they can be chewy as is.
Thank you! I wanted them to resemble the linguine. I think it's worth the effort to prep it this way instead of cutting chunks.
@@SipandFeast agree. When I cook Asian with noodles, I do the same, veggies cut in strips or julienne to match the noodles. Easier to pick up.
Looks great Jim. Will give it a crack this weekend!
Thank you! Hope you enjoy it and would love to hear how it turns out.
Lovely
Thank you!
@@SipandFeast just made this for dinner and absolutely loved it!
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it!
🔥
Thin strands of asparagus, respect for your knife skills! 👍
? Substitute string beans??
Jim, I'd love to see you do a risotto and/or a polenta video! I'd be interested to see how you make these dishes; they're so versatile, they lend themselves to infinite variations and they are relatively simple to make -- Italian peasant cooking at its best. Cheers and thank you for another great video!
Hey man. I'm planning to do some of these dishes. I think when I tackle risotto, I'll make a whole series with a few versions and rice balls. I need to include polenta as well on the list. I was thinking a video of braised shorts ribs with cheese polenta. Thanks for liking my videos!
I will eagerly await these vids! The rice balls sound great -- arancini, I think they're called? I only know because Trader Joe's sells them. I'm sure however you make your risotto and polenta, they are as delicious as all your other dishes. You're the king of Italian cuisine on RUclips!
Yes rice balls are called arancini. There are a lot of great ways to make them. Again, thank you for liking my videos!
@@SipandFeast When and if you do polenta videos please include how to make croutons (Nordstroms made fabulous ones) and how to bake and fry. Thanks,
Great timing for this. Love that lemon and asparagus.
Thank you man! I figured I'd take a pizza break for a bit.
@@SipandFeast glad I have everything on hand to make it!
The hot pepper makes this great.
Thanks Richard! I put a bit of it in so many recipes. Love it!
Thank you for the bid it was very helpful
Next time can you put the written recipe thank you
i wanna know the 6 people who down-voted this excellent simple recipe!?
Only 6? That's a win lol.
So what time do we eat?? Love pasta with vegetables. I make something like this sometimes with thin asparagus with garlic and onion. Sometimes I add peas. Now I've got to make it your way with the lemon. That's what I love about cooking, trying new variations and new things.
Thanks man! There are a million ways to put ingredients together. That's for sure!
This looks great! Do you think this could work with French green beans instead of asparagus?
Yes, definitely!
@@SipandFeast Excellent!! Thanks for replying, I know this video is about a year old!!
👍🍴👏
What are those giant pasta tweezers?
Where is the recipe found?
