Subbed. Just got into RC and boats are on the list! You have been my "boat guy" for learning about boats for a very long time and I appreciate all of your hard work and dedication to providing knowledge and information to us newcomers to the hobby! THANK YOU!

This is an immediate subscribe for anyone new or old ro RC boats. I'm new and this is invaluable info. Although I'm sure you've read that I've had a very interesting time on my first couple of runs with the boat acting erratic and taking off on its own and me having to catch it and slicing one of my fingers in the process. So this video about waterproofing is absolutely critical for me

Great Video sir!! Thank you for all this information. I'm dealing with this exact issue with the Zonda I just purchased. These boats come new with no latches, fasteners, seals or anything for the hatch. Been trying to figure out the best way to secure the hatch and keep her dry. Video couldn't have come at a better time. Again,, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!! HERO!!!

Thank you for this video! I had a big leak in my new to me Traxxas Blast. Checked the boat in my bath tub. It floated in tub for 1 hour no leak, but when I run the boat it would fill up fast 🤔. Figured it was cooling system leak, took syringe and pumped water through, no leak. Ran boat with no prop like in video no leak…Then I started checking hull penetrations. The water cooling exit was too big for cooling tubing, and was letting a TON of water in. The water covers the hole before getting up on plane, which is why it filled up only when driving. Put heat shrink on tubing to make tight fit. NO MORE LEAKS 🎉 thank you

Man...i cant stress how sketch zipties are on lines...especially fuel! They create a pinch point thatll suck air...think of a teardrop.... try cutting a 5mm section of your line and stretching it over before installing....works 1000x better than a ziptie and no cut points...and easier to do than safety wire... thanks for all the info you put out too....learnin a lot every time i watch new vids!

Very very info man! You are the best on boat vids Ive found.
Got a UL-19 2 months ago and 3 leaks/issues I found that were tricky to find.
1.Small leak in hull where stuffing tube goes through the hull. Only leaked under power.
    2. Orings on hatch nuts, even taping off hatch they can leak. slightly larger orings on thumb screws and vacuum caps on the inside of the boat pretty eliminate that.
    3. This was a 2 fold issue. They tightened down a nipple/barb on the cooling jacket to tight. It cracked the plastic washer and would leak under power, but also being turned in to far almost cut off water supply through motor. I used stainless washers and thread tape on that.
This was just something I found on this specific boat that might apply to others.

First your additional water cooling pick up and now adding pool noodles, my BJ24 is becoming a tank. I have been researching parts for my boat and wondering your opinion on two things. First would you buy an original flex shaft or upgrade to the OSE? Second do you know any part number to replace the steering rod end? Proboat/Horizon do not offer a replacement. Keep the tips coming sir, awesome work.

Don`t forget that a syringe can put pressure in the water lines like when you run the boat. Very easy to find leaking hoses and waterjackets that way.

Another way to check for leaks is to put your boat on a stand, poor water into the hull and see where it leaks out. Gravity will reveal most leaks. BoatGang

Man mines got more leaks then a sponge haha... Only Thing I can think to do beside soapy water and air pressure was to fluoresce the water and put it in a dark room with a black light and watch to see where it comes in 🤔 I'm fairly certain it's my packing tube as I can hold it under water with maybe a sprinkle of water and sat it in the sink for an hour.. little got in but that's due to the dodgey foam seal...it's entirely porous 🧽 😂 trying to convince myself to go get a boat with a single piece hull and flat plate latch as I know I can get that to seal haha .

Also what do you think of either putting down a bead of vasoline between the lid and seal I know that stuff doesn't like water haha .. however I don't want to go killing the native invertebrates as I know for example that one drop flea stuff and wipeout a lake in a couple hours so I'm a bit sketchy with what I'm adding haah
